Correct. It would be really messy to change the dates for a giveaway, in fact, I don't think you legally can. Not that its super serious, but if we did I'm sure someone could try to mess with us.
My goal is to get the packs into everyone's hands before the pre-release event happens.
Yeah, it reminds me of all the WoW killers back in the day. Yeah, I love to play games that focus on their first few hours and then have zero content!!!
Artifact was just too different. Maybe Richard Garfield was smoking some real funky stuff. I bought it on release, played it for 46 minutes and never went back in. I got an Axe in one of my packs though and flipped it on the market to pay for my game so that was kinda cool.
They don't use reddit as a single point of community sentiment.
They have stated in the past they read feedback across many platforms and use that alongside data to make changes. Data is still going to be the biggest part of that equation though. With that said though, why don't people below Diamon 5 matter as much? The game is not only ultra-competitive, people play it at all kinds of ranks. Sometimes, there might be some stuff that ultra stomps the low-end of the ladder but not the high-end, does that not deserve balancing?
I trust the Hearthstone team to make the right balance choices. As much as I've disagreed with many of their choices over the years, I don't believe they've done a particularly bad job at it, and, it's not like we really have another option. There are more card games out there that are just as fun and I'll play those if they start making bad decisions :D
but it's actually canadian money or something else that is worthless to you
Wow, I'm hurt.
You can earn both points at the same time, neither of them cancel each other out or change the odds of earning each other. I explained this above as did other staff members.
It's pretty easy to just ignore the whole thing tbh, it isn't incredibly in your face with alarm bells and imagery, the only things you'll ever see is a toast a few times a day and the top promo slot on the site which is going to be something Runterra anyway. Know that the currency will convert over to a generic currency, Gold, when the event concludes so it is at least worth earning.
I could make stuff opt-out, but I really don't want to do that. Everyone is a part of the same community here and we're all having a bit of fun with it. If it was actually causing people harm, I'd have a different stance on it and wonder why we did it in such a way that was going to do that.
I just wanted to confirm that as of right now, you are still experiencing an issue with this.
I can see that you and a couple of other members were having a problem earlier today with visiting certain pages due to a backend issue. I've sent out two different deploys to fix two separate issues that could cause the oddity so it should now be resolved.
If you are still receiving an error, respond here right away so I can make sure I can look at our error logs at the right time. Thanks!
Honestly, I don't know how people keep up with multiple games! Between work and family, I only have so much time every day for gaming, so I bank it all into Hearthstone (which I love). I manage to keep up with the game in terms of both earning in-game rewards and spending real money because I don't invest time and money into other games.
I can't even keep up with 1 as a player so it's no surprise that people find it tough to play 2 or even 3.
I've got a lot of Hearthstone battle pass grinding to do ths month. A lot.
The droprates should be independent of each other.
Chiming in to confirm this is the case. We could run 20 events on the site at the same time, and each currency would still have its own probabilities from appearing when you look at a new page on the site.
There's an issue where sometimes you're able to obtain an extra token per day. It won't really make a difference here so I'm not too worried about it being possible, but it is something I'd like to really catch in the act to understand why the site is being dumb about it.
Anyone that couldn't get their 10th and were stuck at 9 for the day, that's just bad luck I'm afraid
We get this feedback each expansion and I both agree and disagree.
Even without monetary incentives, people don't read the whole thread and some of the comments are... not great. Not everyone is great at reviewing cards though but their opinions still do matter.
As I've said in the past, if people are spamming the same thing on each thread, they'll have their comments wiped and cosmetics removed after the crawl ends so they have zero chance of obtaining them again. It will also disqualify them from the giveaway.
If you come across someone being dumb, my private messages are always open =)
I do think we have a better chance of getting new positive people hanging out on the site than ones that are overly negative. If everything goes to shit though, I'll certainly be one of the first to admit it and the likelihood of us doing it again the same way goes down. Growth is important though and I know everyone who's been a long-time member of Out of Cards would love some more people to talk games with, so doing stuff like this is 100% worth it.
The idea is everyone will be able to pick some stuff up while still entering the giveaway. I didn't want it to be overly restrictive, such as paying the cost of a giveaway entry for a title or header, but we did need to put some kind of price on it
I'm also disappointed, Caro, that we're seeing spell generation here, especially through a Neutral. The bright side though is we don't have any mana cheating so it has that going for it.
It will be very interesting to see how this looks once we've got a full view of the spells that will be available in Forged in the Barrens. For now, I'm just not interested.
Flavor is going to be top-notch though as seen in the card's actual flavor text:
If we hear anything today, it'll be in about 2 hours (Blizzard almost always drops info at 1 PM Eastern on weekdays). I wouldn't be surprised if we'll get a card reveal schedule.
Yeah, it kinda blows my mind tbh. Aside from a few, every card back seems to just get better. This surely is unsustainable and the card back market is going to crash at some point. The great card back design bubble!

When Top Gear was good.

It's already up to 600 active people compared to the usual 60!

You just hold them.
I have no idea what you're talking about >.>. Definitely didn't have to fix anything, nope, didn't make any mistakes. Never make mistake! <3

I can confirm this is possible, but I wouldn't rely upon it working.
If you win and you've already pre-ordered, you can give the code to a friend or redeem it yourself for another server.
Our events system was responsible for Halloween and Winter last year so it makes use of that =D
I'd love to say everything was built for this since that would be cool, but that isn't the case.
Confirming yes on both counts!
