Oh yeah, the crime families are great. They technically did have a small mention-- since Kriziki formerly worked for the Kabal, but I would love more from them.

Perhaps they could do an "End Times" setting with a ravaged Azeroth for the future? Play around with Bronze Dragons and their time powers, reference the End Times dungeon from WoW's Cataclysmic xpac, and just have fun with as many post-apocalypses ideas as they could.

Yeah, that moment got me right here, and it was sad and beautiful to seem the make the heroic sacrifice against a foe they couldn't beat right after Geroge's redemption.

True, he would have been cool as a card. You can always try and make a fan card if you like. Batter than nothing. :)

Nope, you aren't. I'm rather disappointed myself. Could have been something really cool, really silly, or just admitted that Rafaam didn't think it through and wanted a cool sounding name that didn't mean anything. Any of those options could have worked, but not telling us kind of makes it feel empty in my view. I'm going to assume the latter of those three options myself, just to fill the gap in my own mind.

He's actually another blue dragon. The Year of the Krakan Art Book confirmed it.

Yeah, I liked the story element as well. I'll admit that I think it lessened the individual identity of the two latter sets-- kobolds taking over the rogue identity a lot in all three sets for example-- but overall it was fun to do for a year. I hope they do another one in the future, but only after they have enough new stuff built up though future sets that they can combine again.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. I was wondering why they were so expensive for digital cards, lol.

I'm confused. Are these digital for MTGA or physical for the main non-digital card game?

My name comes from my need to give a name to an otherwise unnamed character I was playing. I've always been into theater and was in a musical production of Narnia-- yes, that exists. I had the part of the evil dwarf sidekick to the White Witch. Since my character was just called "dwarf" in the script, I decided to give him a name. I had a huge crush on the girl playing the witch at the time and gladly accepted her suggestion that I name him "Goliath" for the sake of fun and irony. Later on, my younger brother talked me into making my steam account, and I opted to go with that name for the heck of it. I rather strongly identify with dwarfs in fantasy since they have great beards, appreciate good craftsmanship, and tend to enjoy singing. I'm also a bit on the short side, so that helps as well, lol. At any rate, I ended up making pretty much all my online accounts with the same name for the sake of easy identification. It's basically becoming my personal brand at this point and may even end up becoming a full-on character in some youtube videos in the future.

Fear not. I plan on doing a recap of the entire Year of the Dragon story soon after the final chapter comes out.

Why did you have to say that? Now someone is going to rule 34 it.

That would be pretty awesome. There's a lot of material in Outland that would make for some good set themes. Technically we've visited the Netherstorm area where Dr. Boom's lab is, but there's so much more to explore.

You make fair points. I wouldn't say it's ruined the game, but perhaps we could do with some cards or mechanics that could better counter rush to prevent it from taking over too much.

I'm confused. Is this a free thing or not? The term "drop" makes me think it's free, but I checked the website link and it wanted around $40 for this stuff. Do these terms mean different things in MtG?

I agree about there  being a fun surprise element with not having the cards revealed yet.

Favorite moment from 2019? The moment I got the most hype was the music from the Uldum trailer, lol. Lots of energy and a catchy tune mixed with the excitement of seeing the return of those characters and my love of any sort of exploration/archaeological theme. A close second for me was the build-up to Rise of Shadows when it was first announced that there was going to be a complete story arch over the year, and the slow reveal of Lazul's cards and the characters in the League of E.V.I.L.

What am I looking forwards to in 2020? Seeing as we don't have anything concrete beyond the Galakrond Awakening adventure, or even the name of the yest Hearthstone year, I'm going to have to be general here. I honestly love the period of speculation and reveal that comes before the trailer of each xpac with little hints/teasers, as well as the card reveals between the trailer and release. As the site's resident lore buff, I'm most excited to see what new stories and characters we'll get this next year. I'm hoping for the appearance of some of my favorite WoW characters in cards, as well as explorations of fun locations that I can write lore articles on ;)

Yeah, earth elementals are the only main elemental group I haven't written about so far. I'm holding back as long as I can since they haven't bothered to make Therazane a card yet-- in spite of Un'goro's elemental focus being the perfect opportunity, but I might end up having to write one without her eventually. We'll see how it goes in this next Hearthstone year.
