Thanks. :) I learned how to use photoshop recently and have a lot of fun with it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it :) Yeah, I really like the Solarian Prime effect as well, even though I don't currently have the card. It gives more certainty to the randomness of chaos mage, which is very powerful in its own way.

I've actually been considering a murloc post for quite some time now. I'll likely wait a bit until the theme of the next set is announced, and do some related write-ups for it, but I'll put down murloc as a good evergreen post for a rainy day.

And that is an excellent point. Cards are often about communicating an aspect of the class fantasy and using a specific character to flavor it, and that is perfectly legitimate. I only get "picky" about the stuff in these articles because I like providing more specific information and don't want to cause any misconceptions about the character by failing to clarify differences between them and the card.

Ah, interesting. I'm not very familiar with the RTS, and have never played Warcraft III, but thanks for letting me know. I thought there might be something like that, but I couldn't find anything solid online and opted to play it safe. I'll look into that and possibly edit it in sometime in the future.

Hi Kovachut :) I"m happy to answer both of those questions. Firstly, the front page article for these lore guides is currently more of an attention-getter to let people know who don't see it in the lore sidebar wigit or my forum signature. We have transitioned them to officially be classified as guides in order to preserve them as evergreen references, rather than news that is buried within a week. I wrote this guide around a week ago, but we only just got around to fitting the front page article promotion into the release schedule.

Secondly, I know your frustration about the Reliquary of Souls info. As I mentioned in the guide, Burning Crusade was a period of time when World of Warcraft had yet to focus very much on the story aspect of the game, so boss backstories weren't included. What you saw was what you got, and people just assumed that Illidan had these imprisoned souls because he was a bad guy/raid boss. In recent years, a book was released called "Illidan" which tells some backstory about Illidan preparing his armies in Outland and fills in the blanks that the terrible Burning Crusade storytelling left behind. That's the only place where you can find that info, or any videos that talk about it. The wikis have yet to include it, and I'm very lucky that I remember the tidbit from a youtube video that I was able to go back and reference for this information. Otherwise, it would have been a far duller entry, lol.

I agree that this feature would be very useful, particularly for those of us who are largely free to play so we know what to save up for.

I've been a bit distracted the last few days with IRL stuff, so I almost forgot about waiting for the reveal, lol. I'm sure it will drop this week or next week. It only makes sense that they would wait for the Felfire Festive to end and close out the Outland theme before moving on to announcing the new theme.

Much appreciated. :) As always, remember to submit any of your desired topics in the lore forum thread.

Thanks :) We decided now would be a good time to talk about this topic since the event is going to be recreated in WoW Classic pretty soon. I'm afraid I didn't' quite get the joke. Is there another instance of druids raising a gigantic barrier called the Scarab Wall I should be aware of? lol

Yeah, I was planning on having fun with big demon decks when the class came out, but all I've done is Odd and a bit of tempo so far because I just can't find the right tools. Here's hoping we get more this year.

I like both of these ideas, honestly. Wild comes with a unique set of challenges, so it would be fitting for it to have a unique set of rewards to accomplishing them. I tend to play wild most often myself, although I've yet to get past Platinum 5 at the highest so far.

We actually already have something like that. This was written up before I joined the team, so it's not in my typical style, but it can still give some good information to tide you over until I get around to covering a related topic. https://outof.cards/guides/162-hearthstone-hero-lore

What exactly does the pick rate even mean if the selection you are given to pick from is random and distributed among people who have 2 to choose from and those with 4?

Sure thing :) Thanks for stopping by. I'm always looking for new topics to focus on, so I'll keep that in mind. For the purposes of this article, I only focused on the parts of the conflicts that directly included or impacted the blood elves-- which wasn't a ton since they have often been kind of overlooked in the game at times-- but there's a lot more that happened in those conflicts which I can talk about or touch on in other articles when it's relevant to the subject. Let me know if you have any specific suggestions related to certain cards you want to learn about.

I look forward to the challenge, although I still haven't gotten around to beating the heroic adventures from the past either, lol.

This is actually my own art, btw. Image I made of my Warcraft main in a digital image class last semester. No good for actual custom card, but fun for this.
