I took a break from HS a week after the new expac, and while I wasn't playing HS I was playing a lot of FFXIV and Elden Ring. I am currently trying to do a bow only run, which might never be completed because how terrible the damage is.
Minions cannot die from losing health from aura health buffs. Why? I have no clue, I was a noob when that change was added. I think it has something to do with Finja?
Otherwise, minions do lose the +1 health from Southsea Captain when it dies.
Edit: I forgot to mention that damaged minions get to keep the buff. Just the rules of the game, I suppose.
I think that Tome Burning is going to be a reasonably strong card so I am going to experiment with that. Particularly in a Sire Denathrius OTK.
On a side note, it would be cool if every class in the deck builder could have one of the general archetypes in the archetype the way Demon Hunter has (Control, Combo, Aggro, etc as opposed to specific Archetypes) since it seems only Demon Hunter can do that.
I think the next step for retaining players is to simply make the game easier to get into by lowering crafting costs, lowering the pity timer, and generally being more F2P. I have been really into Yugioh lately and it is frustrating seeing a cool deck and realizing there's no point in trying to make it because it would take a stupid long grind to get. I can only imagine it is the same in Hearthstone.
On a side note, I am really hoping Elden Ring gets a DLC or NG+ gets a buff because I cannot get enough of Bloodhound Step.
I think it is fine that old effects can be achieved through different means. I think a great example of this being a positive for the game is Varden Wintergrasp. If it was only possible to freeze enemy boards cheaply with Frost Nova, then decks that primarily runs a specific type of spells could never take advantage of the effect, like old Ignite Mage or Big Mage. It is also very good for deck building to have alternatives as well. What I don't think is fine is that they release weaker alternatives of past cards.
One day I hope there will be a theme deck festival (Maybe you can only build a deck using cards that were in theme decks??). I want to try Dragonmaids but its totally pointless with Floo around.
Floowandereeze is so much fun but the issue is that everyone is playing Floowandereeze. I have never played such an unfun mirror match in my life. I have always wanted to get into physical Yugioh but trying to keep track of what is happening when playing against another Floowandereeze deck is a real nightmare lol.
If you are going the distance I think it might be worth it to run a second Raiza, cutting the Maxx Cs since everyone is playing this deck, I think.
The damage is totally irrelevant, as what matters is that it would stop decks from cycling, like a Loatheb for drawing. The issue is that other than DH and Rogue, I can't see a lot of classes drawing a lot (in standard) so most players are going to draw anyways because 6 damage isn't something to be scared of, unless you are going against a class with burst.
I haven't plated in a week, but unless the meta has totally shifted I imagine this is pretty bad. Combo decks do not care about their health when going against the type of deck that would run this, and wouldn't flinch at losing 10 damage in a turn. A slower deck would rather destroy combo pieces instead of stall them from happening anyways. I can really only see Shudderwock Shaman running this because of the ability to play it, then go into two macaws over two turns.

I hope a banlist comes and hits the hell out of floo... It really isn't fun not even having a chance to play.
Edit: I love how it looks like the loser gets sent to the shadow realm when they lose lol
It is so strange to me that the game didn't ship with a casual mode. Anyways, I am going to queue up with my competitive deck anyways lol
Deidos is absurdly strong in Shaman who can repeat battlecry effects very easily. I love the flavor all around.
Is it intentional or is it a glitch??
I normally don't settle on a stance 2 hours into an expansion but holy crap mage is overturned
I am totally surpisedby the viability of control. I haven't seen a single aggro deck that can stand up to Mage so yet.
Will there ever be any tees??

it wouldnt because i am dumb
Steam Cleaner feels like it was made to counter Wild Quest Mage, but what it does better is counter Shudderwock Shaman.

Damn, what is Alex's problem?? This is a pretty fun card in my opinion...
Next turn means not this turn, nor the turn after your opponents turn. It really is not that complicated.

You don't understand how turns work.
