What kills me is that even if the Splitter dies to a minion when attacked, it won't count it as that... it will default to the spell. Which is why that needs to be nerfed/erratae
But honestly, if you push King Krush off core, hound hunter will drastically weaken. Its really krush that wins most games for them.
Granted Krush is the one batting clean up... the qualm is that hound is able to be tutored or copied and then buffed with things like Always a Bigger Jormungar to board wipe and recover gross amount of life lost. In this case I don't think it's the hammer that ends up winning the game, it's all the other nails holding the coffin door down leading up to it.
It's that time again... I was clearing out a number of the cards that I have excess of 2 and holding back on some that could have shown to be abusable for potential nerfs. So far, it feels like classes vs cards that are getting busted with the release of Titans. That being said, I think that the most cumbersome of cards that I am seeing being a pain and having people gripe enough about them to get Blizz to nerf them... oddly enough is Fate Splitter. I totally could be wrong, but the things I am seeing on how it interacts with From De Other Side is kinda ridiculous.
Do I think that is enough to nerf this... not really. That combo requires you to last against the obviously heavy aggro scene after a release. Against most decks, that Shaman build just dies. But if you're playing against control, it certainly does make it a less fun game.
So lets open up the discussion... what does everyone else think the nerfs are going to be?
This is not a salt thread. Granted a lot of predictions are probably based on dying to crap interactions with cards, but it is solely to see what others think of what's going on with the meta.
I've been playing Titans cards in Duels a lot and I gotta say, that Steamcleaner is going to be a necessary ETC target with those plagues that DK puts into your deck... they are ruthless in the long game
I think a core reason why this restriction was in place was because the foundation of Shaman totems in WoW. If you had a Stoneclaw Totem in play, you couldn't summon a second one with the original one still in play.
Given that Hearthstone has migrated away from the basics of WoW and into it's own realm, this change is appropriate and needed. Having this hero power stopped because you have summoned all the totems puts a hindrance on Shaman as a whole. With all other classes that summon a minion, unless there is no room left on your side of the board, you are able to activate it.
The more I see this, the more I really don't like it. If you get it early in the game, you need to forge it to get it's cost down... but then you're using a turn to forge this that you could be using to set up other parts of your deck. By the time you get this down to a cost that is effective, it's not as relevant and you're probably in danger.
Most of the other giants have a way of reducing their costs outside of the card itself. Sea Giant relies on board presence, Molten Giant needs you to be hurt, Arcane Giant and Naga Giant rely on your casting spells, etc... This one needs you to put in work on IT and only IT. With that in mind... this sucks.
This will be amazing... but not in general. This is going to reward you for emptying your hand. Miracle Rogue will use the hell out of this. Pirate/Kingsbane Rogue will use this to help fish through and grab those weapon buffs or other pirates. I don't know how it will work into using the other mechanics that are coming around with this expansion though
This is just saying to any Demon Hunter build... suck it. Seriously. Mage may feel hit, and Rogue may complain... but this is going to make Steamcleaner mandatory in any deck that draws a lot
I'm hopeful of this card solely for things like getting things like Whirlpool discounted. Or even 3 cost spells for free. Nerubian Vizier is HEAVILY played across the board, there is no reason why this wouldn't be as well
Even though this is a 2 cost minion, it is going to be best suited for late game and gaining another copy of a minion later on... like another titan perhaps.
Lor'themar Theron has a new buddy
A potential T2 4/5 Rush is going to get a lot of complaints... But totally worth playing as long as there are more elemental support cards around.

Me too. I've had 3 different events set up and no success. Thanks Blizz

This seriously feels like it was focused more on Wild than anything else... or it was grossly overlooked

Ugh... thank the gods it doesn't have rush.
Undead Warlock has a new friend :D
I can appreciate cards that replace themselves, or at least make an attempt to do it.
I don't understand why they keep printing these silence targets and no one caring about them

I really hope that they do something with the coding to prevent you from being able to discover itself over and over and over
