I made this illustration to understand Hearthstone's art style to be able to work with the game in the future . It was super fun to make, I used a malefic ocean theme and for the design I was a little inspired by Pyke from League of Legends. ⠀ note: Aaaaaughibbrgubugbugrguburgle!
6 health for 3 mana is quite chunky. I guess you could play this T3, and then small beasts like Wolpertinger on T4 to start snowballing. Or maybe you could use this + Animated Broomstick + Rats of Extraordinary Size to regain the board for 10 mana? Maybe even throw in an Devouring Swarm, so you get 3/3 Rats?
I'd be up for a rotating format. Could be a fun way to explore some cool synergies that can only exist in certain circumstances.
The creator even mentions Pyke in his post:
Really like Twinbow Terrorcoil, best card hunter got this exp imo. So simple, yet so effective!
There's also a version of this deck that uses The Fist of Ra-den and Spirit Echo, to generate and combo with Priestess Valishj.
You mean the one on Faelin? I assume that's there to explain his armor to the artists, in case they wanted to incorporate that in the final artwork.
You can actualy sea his cape transform in the key art.
Reading this reminded that Matt Dixon once posted this gif of him creating Hooktusk
Ten things a Hunter would never say
Nr.1: ...
You've been spooked!
Don't think it's necessarily wasted. They seem to be reusing Artwork from other modes for Mercs, maybe they'll do it vice-versa.
booba good
That's a neat trailer!
Don't mind me, just flexing my 7 Legendaries / 12 Epics from 53 Packs.
Could be decent in Standard. It's got 3 health for 1 mana, and it works with more than just the Shadow stuff.
Wild: Razakus Priest will have a Field Day with this.
YES. 100% Yes. I don't give a shit whether this is Top-Tier, or some Meme trash, Shadow Priest looks fun. Day 1 craft!
Easy conditions and an insane payoff. That's just too good...
... there's got to be a Hook to this.
Defensive Pirates? First we had Sword Eater, now this! Maybe there's gonna be some control-ish Pirate Warrior with these cards and Raid the Docks?
I could imagine that should get at least two triggers off of this on average, which would mean 4 Tokens. That seems quite solid to me.
If only it weren't for the poor interaction those have with N'Zoth, God of the Deep. That, at least for the moment, kills this card.

Maybe it's best used as a Deathrattle activator.
Hell yeah! I like Reno Priest, and I like Spell Hunter, perfect fit for me!
