Exactly, so, if the leaks are true, and Sylvanas is actually trying to stop N'zoth, there must be an explanation that makes her recent actions and intentions (destroying Teldrassil) coherent with her assumed secret purpose.

That's why I imagined a N'zoth that would be able to grow through peace. That would make permanent war a way to keep the Old God dormant, hence the destruction of Teldrassil by Sylvanas: to raise hate, and fuel the war.

I understood what you said, but this still raises a lot of questions:

If Sylvanas's intentions were as good as the "leaks" claim them to be, wouldn't it have been better for the Banshee Queen to inform King Anduin of N'zoth's presence in the first place, so that we can see an alliance forging between both factions? Wouldn't it have been better for them to come up with an alternative solution? Because the whole war seems to me, as if Sylvanas has her own selfish reasons to lead it and wouldn't stop, until she achieves complete victory. But if she was truly aware of N'zoth's presence, then how would she succeed with having a war on two fronts - from the Alliance's side and Azhara's? Why would she think, that the Horde's forces would be strong enough to hold them?

Also - if we learn, that Sylvanas only cares about saving the whole world, that her recent actions actually had pure good reasons behind them and that she is a misunderstood hero, wouldn't that be lazy writing? I don't want to criticize the writers for their efforts, as we don't know how the events would advance for sure, but making a character follow a certain grim path and then come with an explanation for it out of the blue, that shows it in a completely different light, sounds kinda cheezy.

Btw in the wowhead's "8.2 Patch notes" page, there is a paragraph, that explains how Azhara takes advantage of both factions' war, so that her army would defeat them:

The capital of the Naga arises after the assault in Dazar'alor, while both the Alliance and the Horde are recovering from battle and licking their wounds. Both factions having lost a lot of their naval power, it's a perfect time for the Naga to strike, beginning their coastal invasions. Sylvanas obtains word that something is out in the sea and sends her forces to investigate, Jaina follows by sending her own champions. As we venture into the great blue beyond, we find a crack leading to an ancient land - between waterfalls, we fall into the ancient land of Nazjatar, but Azshara has laid a trap for us! Players will have to evade her forces until they can power up; along the way each faction will meet a group of NPCs aligned against the Naga.

So I don't think it's true, that N'zoth grows stronger the longer the peace remains. Normally the old gods feed on people's rage, which is happening right now.

And that only Sylvanas Windrunner discovered. So she acted according to what she knows, and what she thinks to be the only possibility to save the weak balance of the planet (cruel war).

I can't really think of another "good" reason to destroy Teldrassil and mercilessly slaughter its population.

Sorry for being naive, but doesn't burning down Teldrassil have to do with killing the Night Elves' hope and showing the Alliance, that there can be no moral, when war is at hand?

There is also a user, who explains this in the official wow forums:

The leak which claimed patch 8.2 is coming on the 25th is now verified. This now increases the chances that many of these leaks might indeed be real.

Thanks for sharing the news with us and keeping us in touch with what's happening right now in WoW.

(I've added a link to the 8.2 Patch notes in your comment)

@ Everyone, who is interested in OP's article:

Ok, so what does this mean? If the rest of the leaks are true, then how would the writers explain the future events? For me those sound abrupt and unlogical. I'm aware, that Blizzard would slowly introduce the rest of the plot to us players, but regarding the things we know now how would you explain the following:

    Quote From Kovachut

[...] How would Sylvanas being "Garrosh 2.0" right now suddenly become the misunderstood hero, who intended to save the world by preventing an old god's return? And there are characters like Saurfang, that would want to help her despite their recent conflicts?

I can think of more questions - So does this mean, that the Alliance (more specifically the Night Elves) forgives the Horde for what Sylvanas did to Teldrassil? Is merging both factions even thinkable? How would people suddenly forget about the war, the mayhem, that was done by both sides, and concentrate on beating Azhara and N'zoth?

Don't get me wrong - I would like to see both factions overcome their differences and welcome their enemies into their own towns and guilds, but I just can't understand how all of this could happen that easily and fast in the context of a faction war.

That would be hell of a twist. I don't play WoW in the official realms, but I just follow the story from time to time.

If all of the things mentioned in the OP are true, I can't see how Blizzard is going to explain this w/o causing any confusion among the players. How would Sylvanas being "Garrosh 2.0" right now suddenly become the misunderstood hero, who intended to save the world by preventing an old god's return? And there are characters like Saurfang, that would want to help her despite their recent conflicts?

    Questions regarding the references:

The Forest's Aid - Delicious Forest’s Aid! Made from real forests.             Is this a reference to a cereal or something?

Lazul's Scheme - "What's that you're dreaming? You're weak and you're screaming! It must be my scheming..."         Is this a reference to a song?

EVIL Conscripter - Kobold! There’s a place you can handle I said kobold! When you’re short in the candle Cast a spell with the E! V! I! L!          -//-

And now some flavour texts, that I enjoyed:

Swampqueen Hagatha - Rafaam mainly enjoys working with Hagatha because she never laughs at Dr. Boom's jokes. Now that's just cruel. But this can be a hint, that Togwaggle and Lazul laugh at Boom's jokes.

Hagatha's Scheme - "All shall suffer!" "But Hagatha, those are your minions..." "I said ALL!!!"                           Speaking of cruelty. >:)

Jumbo Imp - Jumbo in size! Huge in E.V.I.L.!

Rafaam's Scheme - "When your first plan fails... imp-rovise."

Wrenchcalibur - Whoso pulleth out this wrench from the toolbox is rightwise king of the lab.

Omega Devastator - The Alpha Devastator didn’t devastate enough. The Beta Devastator devastated too much. But the Omega was just right!

Dr. Boom's Scheme - “We did it! We blew up the vault!” “You mean the vault door?” “Oh. The doooor…”

Improve Morale - "The beatings will continue until MY morale improves."

Whirlwind Tempest - And your minions with mega-windfury get... dizzy.

Toxfin - I'm addicted to him, but I know that he's Toxfin

Jepetto Joybuzz - “I’m a real toy now!”

I said it in hearthpwn, I will say it here as well - this is a tech against freeze mage.

Mark my words, that archtype will pop up next expansion and will run big spells like Pyroblast. In order to survive the early game, it will use stuff like Ice Barrier, Frost Nova + Doomsayer, Blizzard and now Ray of Frost. So instead of raging that you can't interact with your opponent's spells, you can unfreeze your biggest threats and continue pressuring them. And since then don't have Ice Block or Arcane Artificer anymore, you can end the game faster now.

Really impressive with Omega Agent or with warrior battlecry mechs and dragons.

You are forgetting, that there's a third archtype - control. Both control mech and mech-dragon hybrid got insane cards in this direction. You have Omega Devastator, Hecklebot (to bring the opponent closer to fatigue and eventually to counter combo), Barista Lynchen. Archivist Elysiana is really bad in most of the classes, but in warrior she will be the next Elise the Trailblazer.

Imho control warrior will be one of the most popular decks next expansion.

Yesterday I was playing Jade Shaman in wild casual and stumbled upon a Quest Mage. Normally I run Dirty Rat, Zola the Gorgon and Brann Bronzebeard, but by that time the opponent completed the quest, I didn't have the rat.

Then for some reason my opponent decided to play Banana Buffoon while having 8 cards in hand and passed. On their next turn they burned Archmage Antonidas and conceded.

    Nice guide.

One thing, which makes me kinda mad regarding the RoS set is the power creep. I know, I know - I was tired of the low power-level of the Year of the Raven expansions and I also appealed for a change, but the new one stands in contrast with them. And I'm really confused - I thought the purpose of the Raven year was to make a fresh new start. And now the devs are making the same mistake again.

    I agree with technician.

If I have to be honest with you, I do love the idea of having a mascot, but the current Derpcorn looks kinda childish to me. I read the admins' and the mods' posts, but I'm still not impressed by it. I guess this is just my personal taste.
