Despair and Viego's Fearsome makes me think he could be paired with Frostbite, but I don't know if it's worth the trouble.

Here's my first idea, going with the Engineering profession. There are numerous ways to trigger this in Standard, including but not limited to: Wound Prey, Kolkar Pack Runner, Pack Tactics, Petting Zoo, Tavish Stormpike, Sin'dorei Scentfinder, Teacher's Pet, Guardian Animals, and Beastmaster Leoroxx.

Don't know what the Mech part could be used for in Standard other than flavor, but it has implications in Wild.

Also pretty sure it should be +2/+1 or cost 3. Left it as-is for now.

If you wish to remain faithful to the idea of the weapon being "profession tools" from World of Warcraft, make sure you choose a profession that actually exists lol. Here is a wikipedia page describing them: https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Profession

@Wailor: Yeah...that's pretty close to Tradeable. Cool that your old idea was so similar to it, but I would probably think of something else.

    If I didn't already want Ragnaros, I definitely do now lol. Capt'n Rag'nar'os! :D

Hearthstone is...fine, I guess - kind of tired of it at this point - and I like Battlegrounds, but I want Mercenaries. Seeing it delayed is annoying, but hopefully that means there's a solid product waiting at the end.

I don't like playing the Rogue, but...yeah. It's kinda stupid at this point.

    *Looks at Morgl*

Welp, goodbye forever! Instead of a stupid murloc whom I hate, I'm gonna have the best Shaman hero ever: Ragnaros!

Edit: Somewhat unfortunate that it is not a Ragnaros Warrior skin, so I could wield Sulfuras. I'll have to make do and play Ele Shaman.

Edit2: I don't want the beach skins; I just want TikiRag. Hope it's not too expensive.

I'd consider putting Dormant and Rush in the same line for aesthetical reasons. Other than that, it's a nice enough idea, but the pool of Fel spells is pretty bad... Honestly, I'd keep the "uncharged"/Mech idea and rebuild from there.

What if I made it a DH card, so the pool of Fel spells becomes Felosophy, Felscream Blast, Fury (Rank 1), Chaos Strike, Immolation Aura, Sigil of Flame, Eye Beam, Chaos Nova, Metamorphosis, and Fel Guardians? DH's pool is more robust and contains some very viable cards.

    I like that idea, personally.

I haven't generally liked P&Z much, but Ekko looks like he could be fun.

I have two variants of my classic card, Zelfrax the gargoyle; the original with some tweaks, and a brand new version:

    ,

The original (on the left) was designed to be like a Weeping Angel from Doctor Who: if you can see it, it turns to stone; if you can't see it, its true form is revealed and it tears you limb from limb. You can use a card like Leeroy Jenkins to purposefully summon a minion for your opponent after you attack with Zelfrax: Zelfrax will go Dormant, you clear out the Whelps, and then the gargoyle awakens to attack again!

The new one on the right is an attempt at disruption. Your opponent wouldn't know what minion you chose so they would have to be wary of playing their combo pieces or aura-minions, fearing that one might be subsequently killed. I wasn't sure on the cost, because what if the minion is never played, you know? You spent 3 mana to do nothing, at that point.

One question... "Dormant for 1 turn" would be equivalent to "At the beginning of your next turn"? Or would it be the turn after the next one? If it's the latter, then my card is definitely too weak.

Dormant procs starting on your next turn, so Yes, "Dormant for 1 turn" would be at the beginning of your next turn.

Good luck to our finalists. I didn't get a chance to vote: been working a lot of extra hours, and my lunch break today occurred right after the polls closed. I'll use that as an excuse as-to why I'm not a finalist myself lol

Bone Skewer makes a lot more sense with Pyke and Lurk in the game. Seemed weird revealing it last expansion.

Ripper's Bay seems like a terrible idea. I get that it is to thin your deck so you can Lurk repeatedly, but this isn't a Toss deck. It can obliterate champions and you're not benefiting from going Deep.

The Daybreak side of Heavens Aligned seems way better: you play it first and get a Nightfall card you can proc immediately. The other way would require a second turn, playing it with your spare mana to get something for next round.

    Feedback:

    Show Spoiler

BloodMefist - Bring the End is a great callback to WoW, and I've been looking for ways to utilize Amnennar, the Coldbringer in my custom cards. I like the idea of using an uncorrupted Tickatus, as well, because that adds interesting decision-making. I think I prefer the cost-reduction Hero Power, because it feels more of a reward that way. All-in-all, cool card, and I say that as someone who despises destroying their stuff!

grumpymonk - You are correct: the prompt did not originally allow Sidequests, until someone asked about it lol. I like Horde Presence the most. It has a ton of flavor, what with Orgrimmar being right nearby, and we could always use another badass orc lady in the game.

Wailor - I prefer the version where you get the minion: I think losing your Hero Power in DH is a BIG deal and should only happen on exceptionally rare cases. While the art for Agamaggan does in fact depict him…it's not very Hearthstone-friendly, with the gore on the ground and whatnot. I personally would be fine if you used the BG art, because it's not like another constructed card uses it.

anchorm4n - In addition to my thoughts on Discord, I will agree with Demon's statement on Discord that Fangs of the Father clashes somewhat with the Quest's intention to dump your hand of cards. You might reach a situation where you have to swing the weapon with very few cards in-hand, and that would feel really bad. I think you're on the right track with a weapon, though.

R - As I told anchorm4n on Discord, I believe Quests need to be achievable over time, rather than a Yes/No kind of objective. With this you either pull it off successfully or you completely fail to do so; there is no middle-ground. It would feel very bad for the player to lose - or win - a game having failed to make any progress with their Quest. This would also be rather hard to balance, because the deck can either readily achieve the Quest or it can't.

Lundy - Embrace Insanity is probably the best one, but this is another Pass/Fail Quest that I find difficult to balance and get a feel for. In order to be good your deck would have to be really consistent, or it utterly fails to work. Also Elysiana should maybe be a 5/8/8, like the Quests of old, because that is a better reward for a long-form Quest.

Demonxz95 - I gave my thoughts on Discord. I like the controllable switching aspect of the Hero Powers, in particular. Their names could maybe stand to be better, though.

Hordaki - You definitely encompassed the various Barrens aspects of the Mage into your card; nice work there. Better than I did, at any rate. I will echo the desire to see the Hero Power be stronger, but that could also be coming from a position of not being able to test it. Seven Frost spells seems like an awful lot for a Hero Power change.
