  • The cheap meme card of the expansion. Can't wait to have fun building a deck for this. Mogu Cultist 2.0!

  • Reminds me of Stormstrike, but deals 1 more and has the potential to leave a body on the board as well. Probably not good enough to include outside of some jank combo.

  • Evolve shenanigans incoming. Really hope the shaman questline doesn't involve the evolve mechanic as that kind of RNG is so unfun to play against.

  • Good stats but not good enough to include in a deck. The upside is if you ever discover this, you can keep trading it in for a card from your deck that you actually want. Tradeable keyword is what saves this card.

  • This card is amazing. So much so, that if burn shaman becomes too good, I suspect this will be a potential nerf target to 2 mana. Its basically Lava Shock that can deal more damage, cheaper, and has a tradeable keyword. Crazy strong as is!

  • This card is not very good. It's like a cross between Boogeymonster and Troublemaker. The biggest downside however is it ONLY gets the stats if it kills a minion with the effect at the end of the turn, not when it trades. Maybe the questline will offer support, but as a standalone this card barely makes 2-stars, which is unfit for someone as mighty as Anduin Lothar.

  • This is the Control card of the expansion that will go in every deck. The Siamat, Zilliax -type card, with the biggest differences being higher cost and having to build around it a bit a la Corpsetaker. The trade off however is getting to draw up to 3 minions and having higher base stats.

  • This card will definitely see play! Just looking at the questlines so far:

Priest - Helps you draw cards to fine the correct costed ones to play for each segment of the quest. Also helps you find the reward after you play Xyrella.

Mage - Helps you draw more spells. Good at any stage of the quest, from needing more of X, Y, Z spells to finding more damage for the +3 spell damage.

Warlock - This is where it will really shine. Getting to the end of your deck faster is and into the fatigue range is what this quest really wants to do and this is an amazing card for it.

TLDR: This card is nuts as it guarantees AT LEAST 2 draws, while having a decent statted body that can stick on the board. The only downside is if the opponent chooses not to remove it and you go "Full Northshire".

  • This is really expensive, but could see play in Zoo. The fact it can go face while also protecting your board is really good.

  • Like most Druid legendaries, it has a very niche use. That said, it allows you to play big spells without having to pay the cost AND draws you a card at the same time. Just need a solid "draw a spell" card to follow up and this can really shine.

  • This card will be nuts when you get it from Wandmaker. Also a great card if you need something to fill a card spot in a shadow deck.

  • This seems way too slow, even with the new Hunter Legendary. Maybe the Hunter questline will give it hope, but not likely.

  • I'm assuming they are 1-mana in hand. Even so, this feels way too slow. Maybe in a Wild Spell Hunter deck, but I don't think this sees play in Standard. Tough to call now though.

Edit: After seeing the Hunter Legendary (The Rat King), this makes more sense. That said, I still don't think the archetype sees much play.

  • Reminds me of Restless Mummy. Has 1 more attack on each, but requires a target. Not a fan of this Mount spell and don't think it'll see much use.

  • This will be incredible if you can curve your way to a quick win. Priest will also win ANY control matchups from here on out. I just wonder is a card has it's cost reduced, does it count as the original cost for this, or the modified cost. The 8 mana priest spell that reduces with other spells in hand seems good if the original cost is what gets used.

  • Updated the cards with some of the feedback. Will update this post with feedback when I can!

  • Tirion Forgrgl: He puts his fish in the Light. Thought about making a new weapon like Scalebringer using the Scales of Justice artwork and giving it an effect like Ashbringer. Made something else as this is too close to the original. Alternatively, thought about reducing all the stats in half (4-cost 3/3, Deathrattle: Equip a 3/2 Scales of Justice)

Blindlight Broodmother: Now, these numbers are very preliminary and many of them would need to be fine tuned for sure. Simple design that would make Murlocs sticky enough in Shaman that they could use some of the new Murloc support they received recently.

  • Good luck to everyone in the finals!

  • 1 mana heal 4. Reminds me a lot of Dark Pact, but usable on enemies.

This card will help enable questline Warlock significantly, as long as small minions are available. Weird that it's deal 2 damage, whereas similar cards (Mortal Coil, Final Gasp) only deal 1.

I like the Hawkstrider much more. Kept the naming convention Blizzard was using for the new expansion, but might rename the minions to look less awkward. Also, either of these might be okay at 1-mana.

EDIT: Would making Rogue "+1/+1 and Deathrattle: Return this to your hand." be overpowered? In addition to bounce synergy, it effectively gives you a permanent 1/1 as it retains the Deathrattle of returning to your hand, which would be a great combo activator card. Rush is better suited to Warrior anyways.
