  • Works well with the Questline, but chances are that won't see much if any play, and so neither will this.

  • Pretty good. Tutors a Fel spell and cost reduction can lead to some broken things. Not sure there are many Fel spells that are broken when the cost is reduced though. Something to keep an eye on with future expansions for sure.

  • The fact that it is next Fire spell cast, and not cast this turn is big. Most Mage decks run Fireball, so now you can just slap a couple of these in your deck and when you get to Fireball, enjoy the 4 cost Pyroblast.

  • Can go infinite with this. Reminds me of Reno's Magical Torch from Uldum, but can run 2 of them.

  • Questline synergy and does what Hunter wants to do, hit face. 5/5.

  • Amazing Token card. Aggro Druid can now dump their hand, play this, and then have a full hand and a huge board.

  • This is crazy good. It essentially means you can run a 28 card deck, as this card cycles for another, and the mana cost is refunded next turn via the discount. Hard to imagine this not being in every DH deck.

  • Eye Beam, but trading more damage for less cost on the Outcast. I doubt there's ever a world where you run both, and Eye Beam being cheap is what enables it to combo so well in OTK Demon Hunter.

  • This is kind of like Aldrachi Warblades in that you equip it for a future turn. It also telegraphs your plays a bit, as when you see a DH equip this, you know they are going to start to pop off over the next couple turns.

  • Don Han'Cho vibes from this one. This is pretty good stand alone as a 5/5 with Divine Shield, but break a couple of other ones and it'll be way too much for your opponent to handle.

  • Too random to be meta, but the high roll of this giving a bunch of low cost deal 8/heal 8 is nuts.

  • Very interesting that they made SI:7 its own thing, kind of like Watch Towers. The Gizmos are neat, but not really game winning. It'll be fun to experiment with in a Tempo Rogue deck, but if a Rogue deck is meta, this won't be a part of it.

  • Doesn't seem too hard to finish this quest, most Pirates are fairly cheap. The end reward seems bonkers too. This will be the most fun Questline I think.

  • Great with Sketchy Information. Not sure if that will enable some creative miracle deck though.

  • Just a meme card that can potentially mess with your opponents mulligan.

  • This has really good synergy with that Rogue deathrattle spell. Interesting to see the powercreep over Piloted Shredder too.

  • This is incredibly busted. Face Hunter already wants to play spells to deal damage, and this has a very easy requirement. 5/5 strongest card of the expansion.

Cloth Merchant: The idea is that you're trading in materials and a gold, and he's giving you cloth armor in return. I initially wanted to do a full set of these for leather/mail/plate with increasing stats and more armor gain. Balance-wise, 3 armor might be too much and could be lowered to 2 or even 1 if need be. 1 would be a better fit most likely with 2/3/4 armor for leather/mail/plate, respectively.

Shadoweave Trainer: Deal 2 damage to a random enemy minion doesn't really feel like a Priest mechanic, but was the best fit for this card. (Note: Should be "... deal 2 damage to an enemy minion" in the card text). Name is open to be changed, considering Trainer>Trader to better fit the mechanic.

Frostweave Trainer: We saw Frostweave make an appearance in the Barrens Miniset with Frostweave Dungeoneer. This card makes use of Tradeable cards to Freeze your opponents minions. (Note: Should be "... Freeze an enemy minion" in the card text). Name is open to be changed, considering Trainer>Trader to better fit the mechanic.

  • The incremental quest rewards are more powerful than the end reward. By the time you reached the end of the Questline, you will have drawn 14 cards.

Now, the first two parts of the Questline are interesting. For only 1 mana, and drawing 4/5 cards in one turn, you get immediate cost reduction. 4-5 cards in one turn is pretty easy to do with cards like Spectral Sight, the aforementioned Skull of Gul'dan, Chaos Strike, even Consume Magic. Glide will also get immediately progress you to the next stage of the quest and that's not to be overlooked.

Any Tradeable minion is essentially a 1-mana draw, which works really well with this quest, and also keeps your deck full for future cost reductions. There is also some really interesting synergy with Tradeable minions and Auctioneer Jaxon. Triggering Auctioneer Jaxon and discovering a card to draw with a 2 cost reduction could be sneaky.

In all, I think this card will be played, but for the incremental rewards, not the final Demonslayer Kurtrus

  • I'm very interested to see what comes out along with this. If not this expansion, then ones down the line. This has potential to be game winning if the right card gets printed.
