    Yep, read the title.

    I’m at diamond 9 trying to hit 5 for the free pack and every other game is still either a Blood or Frost DK. Blizzard needs to bite the bullet at this point and just restrict discovery from other rune cards as well. I find it ridiculous that Blood DK, the control deck, can just start digging through Frost and Unholy rune cards for more damage/board whenever it needs it. Like what’s the point of the rune system at this point if all of the runes can just bypass their rune identities and weaknesses through Discover.

    I really hope it gets better past day 1 at least, but I don’t see any new decks at all despite all of the buffs given to so many archetypes. DK needs to be brought more in line, and cards like Marrow Manipulator and The Scourge needs to get nerfed/reverted because a 5/5 with Pyroblast is just absurd, and a 7 mana spell which just completely flips the board is not okay either.

    Like, good luck beating that with Thori’belor (I love this change though, thanks Blizz for making it what it should have been from the start).

    Let’s go to that one guy still working on Tavern Brawls! He must have been fighting tooth and nail to make a new tavern brawl that wasn’t a Crossroads tavern brawl

    Paladin literally does nothing for 5 turns and if you can’t kill it by then, you’re playing a control deck… in which case just remove all of his big stuff. Kangor is 1 card in the whole deck and it falls apart completely if you can’t draw him lol, there are definitelt way worse offenders all things considered like Outcast D

    I want you to look at all of these cards and remember that in the same expansion, Warrior is getting a 5 mana 7/7 with Rush IF the board is empty.

    The rifts all seem like cool cards, until you realise that Demon Hunter’s Relic package does the same thing but is so much better

    For the most part Warlock’s Imp package and deathrattle package are still almost wholly intact, so it makes sense that they don’t want to give them cards that are too strong. But wow, I expected Rin to retain some of her old design, like adding a symphony to your hand that upgraded as you play it (ala the Seals) for a massive pay off. But uh, I guess a random mish-mash of effects works too I guess.

    Rogue got cool cards at least! Maybe Whirlkick Master returns or more cost reduction to make it viable.

    Shaman is a class that exists. And unironically From de Other Side might be it’s most viable deck if more cards that help it don’t get revealed. Like more Elemental/Murloc stuff

    All of these cards have amazing flavour. And would make for good Custom Hearthcards, but for an actual expansion they are all completely USELESS. None of these see any play whatsoever except maybe Candleraiser (if the game becomes slow enough where 2 divine shields matter). 

    It feels like they designed all the legendaries and class cards then realized at the last moment like “oh shit, we still have to make neutral cards” and this is the result. Complete pack filler.

    Climactic Necrotic Explosion will be a great card to discover. Probably not worth running mono colours for like Sindragossa unless more support is added

    I can only speculate that they are making a similar card that reduces the cost of Arcane Cards by 1 mana, and simply copied the code of this card, but because of all the spaghetti code, it reflected on this card as well lol

    I used to think the HS balance team were a bunch of idiots, but after seeing the Remathal nerfs, now I KNOW they are a bunch of idiots… I can’t even begin to get into their headspace for these DK “buffs” to a bunch of useless cards (except Obliterate) and leaving Warrior in the dust. At this point they might as well completely rework the Warrior HP since they never plan on making control decks good ever again

    Bold move, making an armour mana-cheat card in the same expansion as the Devourer and Earthen Scales combo.

    The other two cards just seem bad in my opinion, but it depends on how good the Armour package will be, and if the new 4/6 taunt minion makes the cut

    10 mana seems a bit too slow to be good. On top of that, there aren’t many good deathrattles in the set right now, mostly Owl and Stoneborn Guardian and the new 8 drop. Maybe forcing your opponent to deal with 2 massive board waves is more than enough to kill them, but we’ll have to see

    From what I’ve heard, it is mechanically similar to an “infinte twinspell” in which it is added back to the hand of whoever played it. So if it gets stolen, then tough luck to that player!

    This just seems like a completely broken archetype, the spells and minions are just way too good and has a very strong finisher on turn 8 already with just Elemental + the Apprentice (each of those 1 mana shards is a fireball!) if you have 4 in hand that’s 24 damage, and if you don’t play Renethal then good luck to you

    I hate cards like Daring Drake which literally only serve to be pack filler so that cards like Flight of the Bronze have worse dragons to discover

    So one expansion we are getting Evolve mechanics, then the next one we get Deathrattles which have no synergies at all?

    Well, let’s just put this in the “bad Shaman archetype for now, but will be busted in like 3 years” category
