Battlegrounds: the fun (not really) game of chance!
50/50 to attack first (except when it matters)
50/50 100 percent chance to kill the rat
Stupid fucking cannon, always snipes your support dudes even with like 7 other dudes on board
Meanwhile I play around my opponent’s divine shield giving dude and my minions are like: “whoops, we almost won that, here let me help you”. And instantly dive bomb that dude. Fuck this gaaaaaaaaamendj
I’m very glad that the adventure was entirely free, so the fact that it was a total cakewalk was very welcome to get that sweet cardback.
Only complaint is that Jaraxxus felt way too lacking of a fight, like COME ON. I was hoping to see some like elements of a Boom Labs puzzle or something in the fight, maybe a random reference or something. Also was disappointed the concert idea was only for the trailer, I would have loved to just like fight in a moshpit or something, I have bad personal tastes. Also dislike that Illidan was literally defeated by the power of friendship like its literally the “we were bad, but now we’re good” meme. Like his 1000 years of conviction which literally made him betray his race and sell out to the demons resolved in “but we’re friends” “oh right lol, whoops”.
Holy Mackerel was a problematic card on its own, it made building around a tribe completely irrelevant bcs Mackerel could smash any build by itself, so people aimed to build towards Mackerel instead of like Beasts or Demons.
In general the strategy for ranking in Battlegrounds is to aim to NOT LOSE rather than to win the lobby. That means just building reliably to get into the top 4.
However if you want to WIN the lobby (first) you need to go for a lategame build and decide to commit to it from the start. Murlocs require a lot of luck to pull off and survive with. However if you are able to weather the storm you basically always win. Its a high risk high reward kind of strat. So not really a problem as DS/P Fishes are pretty rare to encounter, like 1 in 5 games. Really not a problem.
How is a 1 mana deal 8 damage to a minion a bad card?
i did my math and reading wrong i thought i saw cost 3 if you cast a spell last turn totaly negated the less part now that its been brought to my attention a 1 mana deal 8 is goo
Depends on the meta, a 1 mana deal 8 does not fit in any Shaman decks right now. Quest Shaman is minion based and can't reliably run this card for the discount, and a 4 mana deal 8 is not needed right now since Priestess just got nerfed. Totem Shaman also does not need this card right now, as you would rather draw a totem card or spell than this.
This buff could create a new spell Shaman that would be cool, but we will have to see if more tools are needed to combat the meta.
I'm glad that Priest has moved to become a more board centric class which actually uses minions and stuff, but come on Blizz, Priests do more than just resurrect the dead. You might as call it the Necromancer class because all they do is sit on their ass as their tentacle monsters rip you a new one over and over again.
FEAR ME FOR I AM KING MANDUIN, LORD OF THE SEAGULLS. FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE, YOU WILL NOT HAVE A FUN GAME. COME, FILL YOUR HANDS WITH USELESS 1/1S NAVES.
WTF Hearthstone is literally at the worst its ever been, ladder is no fun, its literally big decks, hyper aggro or Demon Hunter. Get killed before you can make a turn or simply die to big dude after big dude? Fun. Wild is just... ugh.
After DOD I thought they were finally getting their shit together, but nope. God, what a mess.
MMMMMM Don't you love it when you lose to RNG? 1 in 6? 1 in 72? Doesn't matter! Your Standard Heathstone Opponent TM will always hit it! However, if you so much as try to even hit a 50/50 then FUUUUUUUCK YOU!
Looks like Skull dodged another nerf.

To anyone who needs help with Mother Sherazin, two words: Highlander Mage.
Basically instead of weapon removal, use hero power to proc the counter attack and then freeze her face over and over again.
OH BOY LETS PLAY SOME BATTLEGROUNDS TODAY.
PATCHES THE PIRATE? SURE WHY NOT, PIRATES ARE FUN.
OH WAIT, LETS JUST LIKE NEVER GET A SINGLE PIRATE IN THE WHOLE RUN, SURE. I'LL FUCK YOU ALL UP WITH MY MACAWS ANYWAY.
WHAT? I NEVER ATTACK FIRST? WELL THATS FINE.

A bit of a stretch, but Stonehill Defender?

I love this idea, now I can drop Gruul on 8 on time every time.

Hey Blizzard, good job on class identity so far and stuff you know?
The holy paladins are commanded by the fishy scum of the earth, seems about right.
Ooh, and don't forget about how the Necromancer class keeps re-summoning those shady squid people right?
And I'm glad to see that the theme of being a Hunter is kept consistent, with how they rely on technology and Dragons to win. Great job!

YES! Let Open the Waygate DIEEEEE!
Well Hearthstone is more or less decided by who is more lucky, and I guess your matchmaking luck was just the worst.
Battlefiend?
Don’t really get the last line, but everything else kind of checks out.
fuck it, I quit. Remember when arena wasn't entirely RNG reliant? me neither

Shudder and Undahtakah both recently rotated out.
