I am a sucker for a good pun.

I wonder if this is intended to give Taunt Warrior some more Standard presence, or as an offering to Wild. I'll certainly be glad if we don't see any more Mechs for Warrior for a while.

Super interesting card. I can see it backfiring sometimes - if you have to use it on a big board, I can see an incoming clip of someone facing 7 Murloc Warleaders - but in general, pretty good removal that can fit in many Shaman lists.

Diluting the Res pool will make this a great card for Shaman lists in Wild. Shame Even Shaman can't use it, as I think it's the best Shaman Wild deck right now.

    Lots of interesting ideas here!

I'll go through anything that stands out to me. If I don't mention it, I have no problems with it.

    • Feral Rage, Infested Wolf, Ancient Shieldbearer and Darkshire Librarian were already absolutely playable cards. All of them were run when they were in Standard. Obviously this is aimed at Wild, but I don't know if bumps like this to give classes bigger swings in power are the right way to balance Wild out more. Certainly buffing unused cards to make interesting archetypes work is fun, but C'Thun Warrior and Zoo Warlock have existed - making them relevant again or just more powerful doesn't feel exciting, imo.
    • Anomalus will kill itself with its Battlecry. 16-damage to everything is cool, of course, but probably not what you were going for?
    • Master of Evolution's Battlecry is targeted, it can't be made into a Deathrattle. You'd need to make it affect a random friendly minion, which feels almost like a nerf overall, not sure.
    • Hammer of Twilight becoming infinite value - essentially a better Tentacles for Arms - probably wouldn't break anything, but feels like something they want to avoid doing too much of. Giving another class infinite value might not be a good idea.
    • Speaking of Tentacles for Arms, Blackwater Pirate is happy for whatever broken combo just made them relevant. There's a reason Tentacles for Arms costs (5).

I like that you picked a semi-theme to go with; creating more "Battlecry and Deathrattle" minions. It's a cool design space and you've mostly nailed cards that won't break too badly if changed to that.

They want me to play ridiculous Yogg-style Mage again don't they? I mean, I'm going to, obviously, I'm just gonna miss the actual Yogg at the end =P

Would you mind providing a screenshot of the home page you see?

I've tried opening the site in Firefox but I just get the regular homepage, which includes a link to the forums.

Hm, so Reborn will most likely have a "bubble" or some kind of visual effect like divine shield minions? That is good! I was affraid how would we tell, if Reborn triggered or not and if they made tokens of the cards without it for example. Seems like they did think it through for once :)

You can see it in the reveal video or on the Hearthstone page for the expansion - it looks almost like a cracked Immune effect? Pretty cool visual

First card is worded wrong, as is the third one. Also, this image has been around since at least mid-2017. This is an old, old fake.

As an aside, to go with a lesson learned from SSBU 'leaks', always question an image which is cropped strangely. This is an incredibly close up image of a computer monitor, and yet we only see a fraction of the screen. Why not pull out just a tad more? Because whoever faked it didn't want to bother correcting any of the other issues which would pop up if more of the collection screen were revealed.

The idea for the Dual-Class cards certainly sounds interesting, but tying them to playing the class in-between them seems incredibly strange. A Mage, for example, would be playing Hunter and Paladin cards, but would also Discover Mage cards? Or would it be Hunter and Paladin cards? Would their be 9 new Heroes for this?

So something like Secret Plan suddenly becomes a very different card. Hunter and Warrior weapons being buffed by the Druid Hero Power. Sorcerer's Apprentice and Radiant Elemental in the same deck! OTK has never been easier.

Class cards aren't designed to interact with other class cards well. I'm sure there are many other broken interactions outwith OTK Rune Priest.

To be fair, artists can draw whatever, but Blizzard doesn't need to keep it in their game. If they want to pivot more towards family-friendly and away from the darker and more mature WoW source material - which they seem to have done pretty consistently for a while now - then they can.

They could certainly add more sexualised men, but that's a quick way to get their rating changed. To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure how they've hung on to a PEGI rating of 7 (as in, suitable for ages 7+) with everything in the game. Even the ESRB has it at Teen.

This is far from overkill. Really, it's weird that they changed so few cards - as many people have pointed out, there's far worse offenders for both Boobs and Blood. At a guess, we maybe haven't seen the last of these kinds of art changes; they're just waiting for new art to come down the pipeline.

Four cards changed for Boobs, four cards changed for Blood.

I think the new art is better than the old art (with the exception of Headcrack... and Eviscerate, obviously). If they want/need to be PG, they can be PG. I don't play card games for the sexy men and women.

Not necessarily for any specific deck, but I crafted Golden Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, Shifter Zerus and Shudderwock when they came out.

Haven't regretted any of them (though I did end up DEing the Golden Yogg when he was nerfed, as I also had a normal one).

We do have four non-EVIL classes for four League of Explorers members! Unfortunately, the ones we know don't exactly fit well...

Reno: ...Mage or Paladin? Since he's a Dragon?
    Brann: Hunter, maybe?
Elise and Sir Finley: No idea, honestly.

Maybe they can spin it to work. Or maybe the League will recruit some help from other former friends?

Yes! The idea is to have them much more integrated into the site - being free of the restrictions of Hearthpwn means we could create a better submissions system which allows entries to be viewed and voted upon more equally, for example.

We're still finishing up the final Season of the WCDC on Hearthpwn, and I don't have any sort of timeline for when the new system here will be up and running - there's obviously a whole slew of features we're looking to get added here, but more come every day! We just recently got an updated Card Back Gallery, and I know updated card images are being worked on right now.

So yes, WCDCs will continue! It'll just take us a bit before we get there.

I'd expect one of the existing but unused tribes to become real first, before any of those.

Most of them are just playable races, and wouldn't offer anything special mechanically, which is probably why they're unused. I could see them coming up with gimmicks for Undead, Ogre or Worgen enough to justify adding the tribe to the game though.

Here's a screenshot from a Reddit post depicting Kasmina's Transmutation (which has the same rulings) being used on an Ugin's Conjurant with six +1/+1 Counters on it. As you can see, it goes from being a 6/6 to a 7/7, as its base P/T is now 1/1 instead of 0/0, and then the Counters are applied.

This came up a lot around the time that Kasmina's Transmutation was revealed, as newer players made the mistake of thinking it would be a good counter to the Amass mechanic introduced in the same set.

+1/+1 Counters don't set P/T, they add to it. Setting would mean specifying a specific value. I'm struggling to see how the rule specifically detailing how Counters would work with Polymorphist's Jest could be misinterpreted, but I'm confident I've made way sillier mistakes in the past, so who knows.

While we've found that people generally prefer a 'darkmode' version of a website, with the opposite problem from you being quite prevalent - that is, people finding black text on white difficult or headache inducing to read - we have definitely talked about implementing other themes for the website.

I can't give you any sort of timeline right now - I don't work on site features myself, and I know there's a lot that still needs to be done - but I can make sure we have a note of it!

Is there any particular colour scheme you think would be better? Having a few options for people would be great, so knowing some that people think would be better for them would be helpful.

They've mentioned they'll be keeping an eye on various interactions with Mechwarper and SN1P-SN4P in Wild. I believe Summoning Portal allows the same interaction as well, as does any method of getting out three Mechwarpers.

I don't know enough about the average powerlevel of Wild to know if we should be concerned about it, but I do trust them to change it if it needs it... eventually, anway =P

Tribes should have a characteristic mechanic or gameplay quirk that ties them together, in addition to showing up often enough to justify them. Murlocs are good at swarming, Demons have self-damage, Elementals have 'If you played an Elemental last turn', etc.

Dragon and Mech were both retroactively given mechanics to bring them in line with this - Dragons in hand and Magnetic respectively - so I think you'd have to consider how you'd be tying your Kobolds together. This is especially tricky, because you'd need to consider all the existing Kobolds and how they'd play with it.

I think Undead is the most likely next tribe. It has a ton of flavour potential, is moderately splashable in any set, and has a lot of space to explore with Deathrattle related mechanics for their unique effect.
