It is insane that variants doesn't unlock the base card as well. Imagine paying freaking 100$ for the collector bundle only to open the collector afterwards.

Card acquisition in this game is so weird. New season, new cards but who cares? The new cards from the previous season is still not available to majority of the playerbase (excluding season pass cards). I ended at rank 71 last season and I only faced Shuri 5-10 times and she is one of the best cards in the game and thus is a card people are trying to acquire.

He is a meta dependent tech card that will be necessary if certain cards becomes meta or if a stat-buffing location will be featured or hot. He will by no means be a stable in meta decks.

It is not a bug. I've played a Patriot deck for the 4 days, which includes both Patriot and Blue Marvel, and I've drawn and played both - even in the same game.

I am missing three card from pool 2, and one of them is Sunspot.

I really like the game but man it feels bad to rely this heavily on RNG to get an important card.

To be fair Falling Comet is not maindeckable, and you at least have to pay two mana to access that card pool. Thus, the 7 mana makes sense.

I have been pretty hyped about this game but I really don't fancy the collection system. The fact that you can't get the cards you want and have to rely on RNG and grinding is just putting me off. I don't mind spending money to get myself started, and then gather ressources after I have found a couple of decks I like.

And Nexus events just seem like a all round terrible idea.

It is still beta, so it is too soon to draw conclusions about card collection and monitization. I just really hope you don't stick with their current system.

Yea, I forgot to add my point to the comment. I wrote it in my answer to Nevin. But yea, it is a very positive thing. My initial comment came out a bit more negative than it should have.

I have enough ressources to craft the cards I need (+20 champion WC, +100K shards and I haven't opened any chests from the recent road map additions). And yeah, that's kind of the point I forgot to add to my post.

I like the idea of supporting the game but I just can't buy anything that has any value for me - which I guess is a good thing because the games model is awesome.

My issue with these event passes is that I don't care about cosmetics. I bought and cleared most of the event passes LoR has offered. But afterwards I completely forget about them because I never look at the board, the cardbacks, the guardians or the icons. I do not listen to the music or use emotes.

So it is by all means a complete waste of money for me.

Jayce level 1 seems decent. Flexible cards tend to see play at some point. However, the 6+ cost spells package... I can't see it being good. It is simply too slow. How will any of them compete with the burn/swarm decks that are seeing play at the moment?

    6 mana deal 3 to 2 minions. Great. They'll just 2 more.

Perhaps this package hints nerfs to the current aggro game but even then I can't see this being strong.

    This thread doesn't seem biased.

Finished my first run with MF. Got 2/3 badges and barely bought anything from the shops because they all options seemed like bad additions to my deck. GP was not that hard. I just  made sure to have a plan for the Dreadway when it came down.

Might be more difficult with TF or TK.

Can't remember number 6 but in the event quest 7th quest:

    Darkness Descends

    • Cast the stars in shadow by activating Nightfall (0/20)
    • Deal damage (0/330)

So... play a Swole Squirrel deck vs the AI

    Holy moly!

Awesome job and I wholeheartedly respect the amount of work you put into this.

I think it is par with Azir/Lucien. Very polarised matchups but also not your typical curve out aggro deck. If you are able to setup the big explosive turns it can blow out a lot decks but it is ultimately countered by a lot of the meta decks.

    Quote From TheTriferianGeneral

I know this is a huge call but I call it now: this is going to be more broken than Hush the ability to choose new targets for enemy's spot removal, the ability to make every unblocked unit potentially leathal and the ability to protect units in combat from getting wiped out by a combat trick is so much power in a 2 mana burst speed spell that this card HAS TO BE broken.

So I guess Ionia is getting back to the playfield...

I second this. Play this in a token deck (e.g. Irelia and Azir) and you have two mana protection for your key units. Hell, you can even push a ton of damage by swapping Azir with a Sand/Soldier. Even Lee Sin decks could benefit from this card.

It is way too much versatility for 2 mana, so I am also fairly confident that if Ionia decks becomes a thing then this'll be nerfed to 3 mana at some point.

Time will show but we haven't seen Targon rise during the aggressive metas LoR has seen lately, and you have to have a certain amount of landmarks in your deck to level up Malphite. Thus, you are prone to drawing some really slow cards. Spending 3-4 mana on a landmark while your opponent develops 1 or 2 minions seem like a bad trade off.

And if you are playing Targon you might just play Asol/Zoe, so you aren't forced to have a bunch of slow cards. I might be wrong here and it depends on the landmarks. I just haven't seen anything that can prevent you from dying on t5-t6.

I am still not seeing the whole landmark thing working. The question is: "How does it beat aggro?" and currently it doesn't. Even with the advance stuff things like the Rockbears are clunky to play, so there has to be landmarks that gives tempo or clears the board like Blighted Ravine
