These changes will make Wild worse. The two meta tyrants are Quest Hunter and Quest Warrior. The first one will have its best counter taken away and the second one will only be nerfed very lightly. Meanwhile the new Tier 1 contenders, Handbuff Paladin and Freeze Shaman will both receive pretty significant hits.

Quote From Celestalon
Cosmetics, while we would consider them successful to expectations, do not monetize like gameplay focused products. I imagine this is true for any game.
Now this is just plain wrong. Look at Fortnite, League of Legends, Dota 2, CS:GO: all of these are giants in the industry, having esports tournaments with massive budgets, and they are all 100% free to play with cosmetic only purchases.
Celestalon's argument does not hold up in justifying Hearthstone's enormous cost of cards and the terrible game economy. I really wish they would move away from packs being the main source of income, and prioritize cosmetics, just like Runeterra. A shift like that would make the game so much more enjoyable for everyone.

Wow. The mode's so grindy, players had 1 and a half months to gain rating and on the last day of the season, no player in the world has a rating high enough for the 12000 chest. And the reward is for mercenaries they've likely already maxed out, to be able to progress that far. Amazing.

Board-in-a-card types are generally pretty strong, frost spells like Windchill seem much better than watch posts, this could be the thing that makes a frost-focused archetype Tier 2-3 in Standard.

Well, that's not fun. I'm never going to play that many games as a casual player, I really hope they bring in some catchup mechanics later in the expansion.

One of the very best cards of the set. A Darkbomb in itself is already a flexible card, 3 Health on minions is extremely common, and the disruption effect it provides is simply devastating for tempo.

I wouldn't dismiss this one. Unlike Stockades Prisoner, which always costs 2 mana, this is potentially a free minion. A better comparison would be Happy Ghoul and Frenzied Felwing. Both of those saw play in Wild Aggro decks, so this has a pretty good chance of being a good card.

That Hero Power looks super dangerous with Expendable Performers and Felfire Deadeye, maybe this crazy amount of burst will finally make Token DH meta-viable?

This is Muckmorpher but for Demons only. Better stats but higher cost, balances out I guess. That card saw play for a while even in Wild, this looks pretty strong with all the crazy big Demons DH has.

Remember when Demon Hunter was nerfed the day after its release? They didn't need to wait until a patch, they increased some cards' cost server side. They could've done the same with Hidden Oasis, but either they really don't care about Wild or they are that much understaffed.

A Wild tournament, even if with symbolic prizing, would be a welcome sight.
They could've also done a "Fix Your Bugs" hackathon before this expansion's release.
Paladin got some really sweet cards in this set, especially Lightforged Cariel, can't wait to play with it!

Really strong standalone card, this can delay Aggro another turn and also survive your boardclear next turn.

It's there for me no problem. Are you sure you're not using wrong expansion or gamemode filters?
1 mana draw, see Power Word: Shield and Tracking, is always good.

Psychic Scream level of OP, this is going to see play even in Wild.

FYI Ruined King in the Hungarian Epic Games Store is 30 HUF - around $0.10, it's basically free. All the DLC is like 1 cent also.
Edit: the price's fixed now, but the game's still in my library :)

No more Pirate Warrior support please! It's already on top of Tier 1 in Wild!
These are 100% placeholder values. A single Mercenaries pack contains 35 to 45 coins.
