  • A 7 mana Champion is supposed to be borderline game winning when leveled up and maphite certainly operates as that especially when played with demacia.

He is meant to be played alongside Taliah and I can see this being decent there awell but idk... I see Demacia malphite builds, despite having the harder time leveling him being more oppressive

  • Without cooldown reducing cards this card was rather aweful but with cooldown reducing cards in mind I think this card could be quite good

  • Oh look lee sin decks got a new toy to play with. Is it better or worse than Zenith Blade? It makes the combo more slower but also more reliable so I am unsure what to think about this card :/

  • In combination with shurima this condition is really easy to fullfill and who wouldn't like to farm the vulnerable enemy units with a 6/5 overwhelm ... that becomes a 10/6 if the opponent is halflife or lower

  • This... is quite awkward to use but it certainly a really good 2 drop.

The fact that you get access to 1 extra mana at some point (that you can't really choose) on top of a 2/3 for 2 is rock solid but is it enough to get rolling?

I have crumbleing faith in that...

Thrashing Snapper is just a bad card. At the moment your opponent can just ignore it, it already makes it a bad card.

What exactly is bad about a 1 mana unit dealing quite reliably 2 damage per swing? By that logic most onedrops -that see all a lot of play - were just bad cards.

  • It absolutely is not. Because this doesn't trigger death effects and doesn't set up an enemy The Harrowing also it is in frelyord, allowing new pairings of frelyord with something we haven't seen so far and it combos nicely with It That Stares

I'm hoping that if you play/splinter a 2nd sumpworker, THAT is the copy that gets "obliterate me" and the original is the copy that gets transformed. If it's the original copy that gets obliterated AND they don't do a special exception to remove the ephemeral keyword (which I agree would be consistent with other things currently in the game), it's going to drastically reduce the value of that card.

Sorry to disappoint you again here because the wording says that once a second copy of this card comes into play the first copy obliterates inself so you will get an ephemeral copy of the worker with that line of play

  • The fact that this card is worth about 4 mana and often is going to be a 3 or 2 drop is pretty powerful. Maybe it's enough for elites to take off but I am the wrong player to get hyped about viable elites ... that aren't from noxus

  • Very dangerous design that could be the key card for a burglefish 2.0 archetype and I don't like the idea of this deck getting back on the menu

  • Sounds like a solid card for reputation decks... yet I have no real faith in reputation decks so nope I am not interested

  • The obvious combo meant to be played with this is It That Stares but even if you don't wipe landmarks after this spell this spell can be really devestating and comes in a region that is known to take every boardwipe that it can get a solid 3.5 out of 5

  • A very decent aggro/midrange card that certainly is intended to help reputation decks... I could however see Riven decks giving this little critter quick attack or overwhelm and get away with it...

  • Okay Riot... Who at your HQ thought that a card like this was a good idea? The reason why Flash Freeze is so good is that you can sit on it and you will most likely find a moment where it does something really big.

But this card forces you to cast it asap, taking away the aspect why a card like flash freeze is good... and even if you do that on turn 3... you get a thrall on turn 11 and you take away your earlygame options... not to mention that Three Sisters exists...

This card is neighter interesting or good what a thrall move Riot...

  • That's... kinda a plunder Vengeance. Sure it doesn't take out a Nasus but most units will just die to this and paying 3 mana to kill a unit is very good

  • This card... is potentially crazy powerful.

The ability to answer removal with a removal spell that let's you dodge the opponent's removal for ONLY 2 MANA is very big of a deal. i mean it comes with the downside of costing you a draw but to me this card is clearly one of the best 2 mana spells we have now in the game and especially becomes silly when combined with units that draw on etb... by the way anyone else interested what pyke is going to look like?

  • Let's take a look at the noxus cards here:

Thrashing Snapper: A 1 mana unit that the oponent can't effectively block unless he got a chumb blocker is pretty cool, in a way this is the reverse Precious Pet and it certainly combines nicely with overwhelm buffs... could be really good 4/5

Incisive Tactician... in a way this is the Dragonguard Lookout for noxus. It's a decent card when it's played with reputation and the way reputation operates, you have to have a TERRIBLE matchup to not have reputation on turn 6. So... it's certainly not bad for reputation decks but I still don't buy the reputation theme, I think it's very unoriginal and too linear of a gameplan to ever become toptier so... a 2/5 for me.

    Random first impressions:

    • Nasus Thresh is looking disgusting -- it's already a strong deck, and I think The Wings and The Wave can only make it stronger.
    • Buried in Ice looks fun; I just don't know how to use it. Will it be a control tool for TLC decks? A combo piece for It That Stares? Something you just put in midrange decks so you can swing for lethal?
    • Adaptatron 3000 = Heimerdinger synergy; it will be interesting to see if he goes from meme tier to meta deck overnight.
    • Chirean Sumpworker looks like meme material, but in a good way. Really curious if Fading Memories and/or Splinter Soul keep ephemeral; otherwise we're looking at Iterative Improvement and/or Counterfeit Copies
    • Cithria, Lady of Clouds looks amazing. I have no idea how you actually utilize her -- 10 mana is huge -- but that won't stop me from trying. The sad thing is that she's probably just worse than Brightsteel Formation and Minah Swiftfoot, who deliver the same "I'm just going to win now" power but for 1 less mana. But we can dream!

The way this is worded, the copy remains ephemeral if you clone the Chirean Sumpworker with fading memory.

Transform effects in LoR don't remove Keywords or buffs as they do in other tcgs

  • Chirean Sumpworker ... ... ...

On it's own it's not good (but also not that terrible) and is not doing much.

All it cares about is how many copies/clones you draw in a match, something that by default comes with a great variance.

The regions that this most likely will go into are SI or Ionia with their cloning support.

I am afraid  that this card is actually competetively viable due to it's compared to it's highroll potential relatively low risk nature.

And If I think about the nasty elusive otks this card can create with The Harrowing no... I don't approve this design although some people will certainly love the burglefish deck replacement

  • This follower gives spellshield to ALL landmarks and champions which means that sun disk shurima gets a huge boost with this card being around becuase they are way less vulnerable and way harder to hate out of the meta if they should become strong
