It has been a while since the last Arena Impact thread here on out of cards. The last one dates back to the Ashes of Outland card reveal and it had only two people rating cards and it didn't get a lot of response. To be frank, I believe the thread went by mostly unnoticed to me as well. Still, I always enjoy reading such threads and I feel a bit sad that there wasn't such a thread for recent expansions. To hopefully prevent this from happening this time around I decided to raise some attention, hence this thread.
Arena is my main mode, been on the leaderboard once, and I'm willing to rate cards for Arena completely voluntary. Would people be interested in an Arena Impact thread for United in Stormwind? Would anyone else be willing to rate cards for Arena format specifically? I'm willing to do this on my own if I have to, but of course, it's a lot more fun if more people are involved. Personally, I don't care if you're staff here on OoC nor if you're an experienced Arena player or not, but I'm no staff member either so if any staff member can comment on this that would be nice.
Also, if you're not willing to put in the time to rate cards for the Arena format specifically, but would like to see such a thread a comment would be much appreciated as well.
Tl;dr: My goal here is to gather some Arena enthusiasts, both rating and reading, in order to have some fun while rating cards and shine some light on Arena. The format could use some attention.

This is that type of card that will pop in out of decks depending on the meta. It will never be a cornerstone of a deck, but it won't see zero play either.

I'd say Gibberling and Renew to 2, and Palm Reading to 4, but I'd prefer if one of them is Raise Dead to slightly tone down Darkglare Warlock in Wild too.
Seems really interesting, and i wonder how it works. Does it only targets spells IN YOUR DECK that didnt start there? if so then it's amazing with C'Thun, the Shattered. If it's any class spell, but excludes the ones that started in your deck, then it won't see play because everyone and their mother keeps using Venomous Scorpid.
Personally i really hope it's option #1, because that allows for some really fun/interesting deckbuilding. (And so i can use it in Tesspionage Rogue)
Well, I thought I understood what this card does, but now I actually start to wonder. I too hope this card has Tess Greymane synergy, but my first assumption of this card was the other explanation, making this only playable in Arena.

Oh, what am I doing giving this only 3 stars? You already know someone will find a way to equip this, draw 8 cards using Plot Twist or Hemet, Jungle Hunter, and find lethal all the way from 30 in a single turn. Let's hope that deck will be difficult to pilot, otherwise this might just be the new Stealer of Souls.

I have Neeru Fireblade in my collection, but I have hardly played him. The gameplay just didn't seem all that interesting to me. Now, if we add this new card into the mix the deck suddenly looks a lot more appealing. That is, of course, under the assumption that you can get to Blightborn Tamsin quite consistently.

Good use of the start of game mechanic. This is one of those cards that'll only get better as more and more cards get printed, making the downside more negligible. But for now, I'm not convinced. Priests are already efficient in removing minions, so a 2 damage ping isn't going to add much and going face isn't really Priest's strong suit either.

The Elekk this card leaves behind is a beast, so maybe N'Zoth decks would consider running this. Stats aplenty on this card, but we're not living in 2016 anymore, meaning that a 7 mana card without any synergy will not see play on ladder.

I wasn't all that impressed with this card at first, but I just realized that this card is only 1 mana, so easy to slot into a turn and the effect can potentially be huge. Still think this card too situational, but I'm not writing it off completely.
Probably ends up that the only reason you play him is for Westfall/the 2/2 Adventurer. The other options imo are awful for the extra wait time:
Ironforge: Much more healing than Luckysoul Hoarder, and probably the same amount of time waiting for healing to come in, but Luckysoul Hoarder is run because of Soul Fragment synergy.
Eastern Plaguelands: Compare contrast with Imprisoned Antaen. You can run two of Antaen, even run them back to back, and they were pretty effective in early Ashes of Outlands since the opponent had little time to build up a board big enough to soak the damage burst AND deal with the 10/6 body afterwards, especially not back to back and/or with Priestess of Fury. This however, gives way too much time to your opponent to set up a board to soak up the random damage, and by turn 8, a 3/3 body is pretty ignorable.
While I agree with what you are saying here, I still see no reason to play this for the 2/2 adventurer either. If that's what you're going for, isn't Devouring Ectoplasm just better?

Definitely looks underwhelming, but I have a feeling this card will soon make a lot more sense with more cards being announced. Some synergies with armor or the new tradeable mechanic can turn this card into a frequent sight on ladder.

Board clears have always seen play. This one won't be any different. Also good in combination with Sorcerer's Gambit as this is a fire spell and buys you time.

Looks super fun to play! I guess we'll find out if it's actually going to be any good. One redeeming aspect of this card is that the first and second reward are pretty decent, so maybe not all hope is lost if it takes a while to get to Arcanist Dawngrasp.

You'll probably stick this in a deck with many rush or charge cards. That way you can make sure to get the most out of this card, because if your opponent is constantly clearing your board, playing this on a minion you just summoned isn't nearly as good.
Would love to draft this in Arena, as is probably going to be the case for most mounts.
Someone will pull this off on turn 9 on day 1. No doubt about it.

If this is going to see play it is because the tradeable mechanic has proven to be useful, not because this is a 3 mana 3/3 with rush.

I do think this is actually better than Gluttonous Ooze in most cases, so I expect to see this card a lot.
Jup, this might as well have been a Warlock card. I would be surprised if it shows up anywhere else.
Will only see play if a deck is in dire need of coins, so practically never.

Aggresive arena decks wouldn't be sad to draft this card. That's about the only angle I can see this card getting any play.
