Rogue's own gameplan is usually too important to care about their opponent's gameplan. And as getting a random pirate or stealth minion is of no use to them this card seems pretty useless. I doubt this will even be run when you can consistently get the transform effect on a token instead of a minion you actually put into your deck.

The main set had support for both taunt and beast druid. None of those packages have proven to be particularly strong and I don't think this card is going to change that. But I would love to be wrong. In a vacuum the card itself looks very strong. A 2 mana discount on a beast is not nothing.

Although with the Exotic Mountseller rush minions were among the best ones you could get, getting an occasional Bloated Python, King Mukla, or even a Silverback Patriarch was also really helpful for stickiness, bulkiness and defense. The fact that this more expensive Mountseller only gives you 4/2 rushers makes it a lot easier for your opponent to play around. Meaning this beast tag on this Deviate Dreadfang has to do wonders if it wants to be as good as the mountseller.

This effect is going to break Hearthstone one way or another. If it isn't after Celestial Alignment, then maybe with the Aviana/Kun combo or who knows what's possible in the future.
Very good effect!... as long as you pull a Holy spell... and Priest uses mostly shadow spells... hmm. Still Priest isn't known for drawing a lot of cards, so i still think it will see play in a majority of priest decks just for the card draw. (And worst case scenario it might pull some C'Thun, the Shattered pieces before Tickatus deletes them.)Devout Dungeoneer will obviously be a lot better in standard with each expansion, because of newly printed holy spells. Right now the holy spell pool in priest is mostly big buffs and (cheap) removal spells.
Hmm looking at the Wild Holy spell pool and it's not that great. Most Holy spells in wild are MOSTLY ress spells or big buffs. Sure there are some removal spells like Lightbomb, but their mostly cards that are used by ress priest (Which will never run Devout Dungeoneer) and Raza Priest. (Which already has a lot of shadow spells in deck, and i don't think raza priest wants Devout Dungeoneer either...)
Let's hope we get some more good Holy spells that make it more reliable for getting the discount! (okay even though the card doesn't sound THAT good, it's still card draw in priest, which priest lacks. So don't underestimate this card!)
Most Reno/Raza Priests only run Holy Smite, Power Word: Shield, and Penance, thus giving you around a 20% to draw a holy spell when you play this on curve. On top of that 2 out 3 cards can only be discounted by 1. Yet, I don't think that matters all that much. It's still draw.
On the other hand, Acolyte of Pain used to be played in said deck, but is not making the cut anymore in most lists. Is this better than Acolyte of Pain? I think it is, but I'm by no means a 100% sure.

Probably not good enough for a Freeze Mage revival in Wild, yet once the other two mage cards are known, I'm heading into deckbuilding again. If these other two cards are also Frost oriented, and I wouldn't be surprised if they are, it might just work out.
Completely agree! Plenty of elementals as well that Shaman would like to run. And it doesn't necessarily need to be a straight up elemental Shaman. Running two Marshspawns and two Cagematch Custodians might be good enough already.

Dirty Rat is a common sight in Wild. The effect and the taunt keyword is what makes it such a great card, not so much its stats. Mutanus's effect is largely the same considering that eating the card is kind of like having taunt, but it's not like you can play this right before you AoE the board and it cost 5 mana more. That's a lot. Can't wait to try this out in a Reno Shaman alongside a Rat, but I expect it will be to slow.
For Standard I have good hope this can make an impact. Due to it's mana cost only slower decks can run this, but with chances to snipe an opponent's old god, Il'gynoth, Tickatus, or some other key card, I expect all slower decks to strongly consider running this card.

I visit multiple times a day as well. It has become a habit. Primarily here for Hearthstone content, but I don't mind taking in some bits and pieces of different content every now and then. Oftentimes, it's just a quick scan to check if there are new articles (I'm expecting miniset news relatively soon) or interesting forum discussions. More often than not, the comments are more interesting than the articles themselves, so I'm often going back to articles I've already read just to read new comments. I think I'm somewhat of a familiar face around here, but I still only post when I feel like I can contribute to a discussion. I'm not really interested in sharing my opinion most of the time. It's been a while since I build a deck I'm really proud of, but whenever I do I upload the deck here as well.

Partially correct. Dean is saying that match outcomes are decided almost entirely by the skill level of the players involved. That does not imply that the decks are equally strong. Take into account that the better player is also more likely to draft the better deck. Thus, not only does the better player make the better plays, but the better player is also likely to have a better deck. Apparently, situations like you are describing are just not that likely to occur.

Also more powercreep on Hired Gun after Fairground Fool.

Reno Priest is probably happy to see this. More card draw is always welcome to that deck.

Overhyped? The card has just been revealed. People are still rubbing their eyes to confirm this card is real.
I'm a little scared of Mutanus. That card has huge implications.
Card draw for Shaman! Small requirement, but totally worth the upside. Even good enough for Wild I think.
Sums it up nicely.
This was a fun read. Looking forward to the other classes.
Marketing. I call that marketing.
In theory, this should work. What's inside your pack is determined when opening, not when buying.

What a surprise! Who would have thought? Certainly not me. Nope, a real shocker this one.
