That's actually really cool, I only ever knew about the Firebat one.
It also somewhat explains why they chose a female lion for Mok'nathal (based on the fact that usually, when it comes to fiction, male lions are preferred because of the iconic mane).
Alright, time to become World Champion so we can finally get a poop elemental in the game.
Pretty powerful just based on the fact that it's so far the only Spellburst card that's not a minion and therefore is more likely to stick around for a turn.
The flipside is if you want to use it efficiently you have to use it the next turn in most cases (unless you can justify just playing a weapon that you're not going to use)
Could also work with Shadow Priest, Shadow Madness and possibly something else as well. If this card is good enough to justify it maybe there's a whole package to be built around it.
Obviously you run a small spell deck with Apprentice and as much draw as you can reasonably muster (perhaps the return of Elemental Allies?).
The real problem is what do you do with said spellpower at the end of the day? If you play this with Apprentice you have at best 3-mana left...and Mage only has 2 damaging spells that fit into that slot: Fireball and Frostbolt.
So even if a dedicated combo deck would work, the most you can do would be: This + 2x Apprentice using 4 cheap spells (with double Frostbolt in hand) and then using Mana Cyclone to get some more for let's say approximately +5-6 spell damage on average (in a 10-card combo) which doesn't kill anything.
At 5-mana it's also difficult to combo with boardclears so that fallss through as well (Arcane Explosion already had that kind of support and still saw no play at all).
So at the end of the day this is a win condition for a really weak and RNG dependant deck. Mage doesn't even have enough draw to make it work.
All you need for this to pay off is have something on board or Rush minions in hand (and something you want to trade into). The statline is good enough by itself so all you need is use it for one minion and you got your value.
Funnily enough I think it might be better for Hunter than DH just because DH doesn't have a lot of Rush minions (and they don't trade as often with minions anyways). Still probably a staple for any tempo deck, but at least not another game breaking legendary.
Not entirely sure how to use this in Hunter at the moment, but it'll have a place in Highlander for sure.
EDIT: I also failed to realize this works with hero attacks as well. Might find its way into a lot more decks then. Dragon Hunter can safely trade with Stormhammer, and DH in general gets to do more trades
On one hand it's yet another really obnoxious Priest minion that will most likely see play in defensive decks (just combo it on turn 5 with Renew or something)
Problem is of course the randomness and how easy it is to play around (unless Priests start running attack manipulation....Lazul's Scheme could be fantastic with this)
At the end of the day it's an alright minion which at least improves galakrond's hero power
see...the problem is that Teron destroys Gandling...and since Gandling's effect takes place, as you pointed out, AFTER battlecries, Teron will just gobble up Gandling and stay there until he is killed.
Am I the only one who thinks this whole Priest/Warlock dual class thing is decidedly Warlock favored? Not that I'm complaining, Priests can eat a dick anyways.
So for Warlock this is almost like Dark Pharao Tekhan, except not a permanent effect. You throw this out, play your lackes and turn them into beefy boys. Obviously you use eggs as well, meaning there we now have a very decent sacrifice shell: this + Tekhan + lackey generators (cable Rat becomes a lot better with this in your deck). Possibly with a Discard package for draw (Or Galakrond, both work). Warlock is looking quite strong so far.
Priest on the other hand I have no faith in unless they get some really efficient deck thinning. Right now tempo priest absolutely cannot work purely because if you run out of cards you're done for. No cycling. At best you can try and steal something from your opponent's deck.
If Egg Priest were to work (it probably won't) it would need a solid shell (pun intended) first. Right now we have a disjointed mess. Priest doesn't generate that many lackeys and they don't really have a lot of small disposable minions.
At best I could see this in some sort of Galakrond Priest to turn crappy minions into slightly less crappy ones.
I'm assuming we're gonna get some more support for this type of Priest, but it better be good or else they might as well have printed this as the solo Warlock legendary.

probably.
Really, Galakrond Priest in general is a rather open shell where you can basically throw in anything that works.
maybe he plays DH and just never trades :^)
isn't it still run anyways?
Could also work with Shadow Priest, Shadow Madness and possibly something else as well. If this card is good enough to justify it maybe there's a whole package to be built around it.
I'm gonna evaluate it low, but it has potential.

that's...just good in a lot of scenarios.

I wondered what a demon Hunter Hunter would look like.
It's a Demon Hunter with a bow
I don't know what I was expecting
techniccally speaking it's not as bad of a topdeck with this in hand, because you can at least snag a 3-attack minion.
Torn about this.

Funny Priest man steals your cards and calls you gay
how would this end up in an OTK in any capacity?
Like, what, some Rivendare, Necrium Vial, Umbra shenanigans? At that point just play Malygos
IT LOOKS LIKE A WALKING SCROTUM....WITH EYES
Without more support this is too similar to Frost Giant
Only works if you have ways to damage (or heal) yourself multiple times a turn.
I guess being only 8-mana makes it a lot less clunky, but I'm still not all that convinced
Alright, now I'm just hoping this whole archetype bombs so I never have to see this disgusting thing. Why do they do this to me?
literally Molten Giant
I pickded Demon HUnter because I thought it would be an easy win.
I then realized picking Demon Hunter means your opponent gets to play Demon Hunter while you get shitty cards
Don't pick Demon Hunter
