I remember C'thun Zoolock and how it didn't work whatsoever.

hooray for Dragonspeaker

so the effect is incredibly bad seeing how on average you're going to get some trashy imp while ocasionally highrolling one of the....4(?) actually good demons that have an impact on the board.

It all comes down to what the hero power does. If it's something that helps a control deck (healing or value generation) I could see it …

i mean, we could always get another KnC situation where Warlock jumps from garbage to top tier

So it's Faceless, Zola and Banke all rolled into one card...

Idk, I don't see aa 9-mana 5/5 that requires a friendly minion to already be on board to be of much use. Just feels greedy to run this even in a lategame focussed deck.

probably not seeing how we're already getting the 5 Galakronds, but it'll show up in packs I guess

oh the design of Quest Druid is absolutely flawed and is only balanced by the fact that it's incredibly vulnerable during the first few turns.

Honestly, if other Ramp Druid are to succeed they need to either have early game options that Quest can't use or have midgame options that are better than Oasis Surger into Nourish/Hidden Oasis.

eh, it's a better approach then before. It's basically Zul'jin: a lategame powerplay that you have to upgrade over the course of the game, with the difference being that the pwoerlevel is much more evenly divided between isntant effect and long term value.

Seeing how the only confirmed hero power (Rogue) is "add a lackey to your hand" I don't think it'S that crazy. If you look at the Invokers, they are all miserably statted cards.

Rogue literally gets a 3-mana Backstab with spelldamage +1...adding a lacky on top of that seems reasonable at best.

yeah sure, let'S give Priest a 7-mana quadra MC, that's not broken or anything

I mean, quadra-assasinate for 7 is already comparable to Psychic Scream in terms of removal and it's not like Priest needs help at the moment (unless they finally trash Divine Spirit)

I mean, it's not like Quest Druid runs an insane amount of Choose one cards. All you really need for the quest to be worth it is Oasis Surger, Hidden Oasis, Starfall and Nourish. Add Innervate and Crystal Merchant for consistency and that's the Quest Shell.

Everything else is easily replaced with a new win condition. Ysera, for instance …

hm...sounds like a gimmick. 9-mana isn't really something you can spend for a conditional value generator

apparently so. I wonder if they always intended to be that generous or if it's a last minute reaction to recent development (both the controversy and the emergence of competitors)

not sure if a legendary 4-drop is enough for that. Even if you combined it with garrison commander on an empty board, the most you can do before it gets removed is 14-damage, which isn't exactly impressive for Wild standards

If you could run two copies it would be a different story, but we're essentially talking about a relatively …

yeah, I'm aware, I was going for the memes here.

Still, seeing how this is supposed to be an incredibly dragon-heavy expansion I wouldn't find it hard to believe that there'S a decent dragon package to be included, either with the Quest or without

Blizzard: "We nerfed Wild Growth because it was pidgeonholing Druid into a single strategy"

also Blizzard: "HEY KIDS, WANNA GET WILD GROWTH ON CRACK???"

sounds like a redux of C'thun. You have the big daddy and a bunch of underwhelming support cards (balanced by the Hero Power effect). The difference being that Galakrond's battlecry is not so much a finisher but rather a....regular Midrange play...which coincidentally means he's not as much of a dead card as C'thun since you can just play him in …

This really makes me wish they'll return Genn and Baku for a limited time back to standard.....

I mean, at this point it can't be worse than the current dumpsterfire, so why not.

aaaand warlock gets the bad one again....

Random demons at turn 7 really doesn't strike me as a good way to spend mana....unless he gets a new hero power that wins the game from there...
