Welcome to the party, Vi! We're batting 5/5 for picking the new Champions, thanks to some datamined sound files last month. Starting tomorrow, Ionia will be the last established region we're waiting to see spoilers from before they reveal the brand new one, hopefully on Thursday. As we've mentioned before, we're expecting to see Bilgewater as the first new region. How about you?

Veteran Investigator:
- Think of that moment when your enemy's deck is filled to the brim with mushrooms, and all what you need is that last 1 or 2 damage on his next round draw...but of course it comes with 0 mushrooms... Veteran Investigator is there to save the day (or not...)
- Or in a Maokai deck, once he lvl up and leave the enemy's deck with only 4 cards, BAM!! you play 3 Veteran Investigators and win the next round (or not...)
And let's not forget, he is a "when i'm summoned" and not "play" which means any duplicating/reviving/special summoning/etc... will reactivate his draw mechanic.
A few cards comes to mind...
Fading Memories
Navori Conspirator
Counterfeit Copies
Mist's Call
Parade Electrorig
Scribe of Sorrows
Splinter Soul
Chronicler of Ruin
Dawn and Dusk
The Harrowing
Probably missed a few, but you get the idea.
Mill PnZ anyone?
Teemo :D
Theme-wise, I love this. Vi was one of my favorite LoL champions, and I really like how they are making her support peacekeeper-focused and setting up Peacekeeper v underworld interactions in P&Z comparable to Lux v mageseekers in Demacia.
Logistic-wise, this looks to be the worst set announced so far. Let's start with Vi herself. She looks like she'll be really difficult to level up--not only do you have to get her attack up to 10, but you need to successfully strike which is not trivial AND progression is tied to individual cards so if she dies or is recalled you're starting back from scratch--think leveling Braum. That alone isn't a deal breaker--Swain, Sejuani, and Malokai all look difficult to level too--but unlike the aforementioned, her L2 form is just good, not game-closing. That 10/6 statline is just awkward IMHO: sure you can kill almost anything while dealing 5 nexus damage, but without barrier, quick attack, and/or overwhelm there's no advantage to have such high attack.
Then there's the other cards. Both spells seem powerful enough to see some play, but the followers all seem weaker than current options. The Veteran Investigator feels bad--you NEVER want to give your opponent draw. The Insightful Investigator seems too situational: only draws when you play something that's exactly 2, and even then its a fleeting card. And again: its going to feel SUPER bad when you draw into something you either want to save or don't have enough mana to play that turn, or when you want to spend your last 2 mana on a spell but know this effect is going to essentially mill a card. Finally there's a Patrol Wardens, a vanilla 4/3 that costs 2-3 mana: this at least I could see people wanting to play, but it seems like the first card you cut once you're trying to improve your deck's synergies. All 3 just feel like "pack filler". I hope I'm just being overly pessimistic here; I was really hoping this expansion would make P&Z be something more than a splash for Mystic ShotsBADCARDNAME, Get Excited!, Thermo beams, and the occasional Progress Day.
dunno Vi level 1 feels strong to me, 5 hp with though is REALLY hard to get rid of, P&Z doesn't have many sturdy followers so this is something the region doesn't normally has, you can pair her with noxus or demacia so she can strike with Single Combator Whirling Death, but you have to look at level 1 champions and see if you think they are strong.. which I think they are..
I agree on the 3/2 follower that guy is kind of bad it gives you -1 card advantage since you play himm he replaces itself but the opponent get an extra card.
the draw engine can be great.. specially if your deck is mostly 2 cost spells or cards you can cycle a LOT and losing a card from your deck? BIG DEAL.. most people overestimate a card in the deck, it might as well be the last card in the deck so it's fine actually it would be broken without the fleeting thing.
The follower doesn't go away, it stays on the field. So it's not a -1, it's a +/-0.
I could see it finding play in combo decks where you want as much card draw as possible. Or, as others have already pointed out, in mill/mushroom decks. Doesn't seem particularly useful for anything else.
maybe I misunderstand it, but it doesn't sound like Investigator gives cards Fleeting, rather that she has fleeting herself, meaning you have to play her once drawn or lose her.
Either way the wording is really awkward.
As you can see here, Fleeting cards have that hourglass icon on keyword images part. So Investigator doesn't have fleeting but cards that she drew would have, I would say.
Poliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice !!!
Vi was one of my favorite champions for jungling while i was playing LoL and glad to see her added to the game. So, We will use Vi in Demacia splash for best result it seems or with noxus for Strike spells for leveling her up instantly. Nice direction for Demacia/P&Z and Noxus/P&Z if you ask me for combat themed decks of P&Z which it was lacking before. [Hearthstone Card (Single Combat) Not Found] and [Hearthstone Card (Whirling Death) Not Found] is good activators for her. They would have no use after level up tho.
But it is kind of sad to see that revelaed cards that related with Vi doesn't have any activators for Vi at the first glance.
Vault Breaker - it really really sucks +2 attack is like.. less than 1 mana and you are paying TWICE 3 mana.. 6 mana for a +4/+0 that's really bad specially since you can go with freljord and get +4/+4.. it's beyond unplayable it's a really bad spell.. and it's her signature spell... the only upside I can see to this card is that it can give 6 attack alone to Vi so you really just need 2 cards played and this to level Vi, but you never maindeck it.
Gotcha! - it's a decent spell specially if you are running a lot of draw, 3 damage to a unit is quite premium actually even at 4 it's kind of playable in runeterra, I mean Black Spear costs 3 and spells can be overpriced in this game and still be fine cause spell mana exists.
Veteran Investigator- I don't like symmetrical effects, this isn't really a cycle card it's a -1 for you btw coop mode confirmed, kappa?
Edit: OMG forgot about Teemo!(still a meme though)
Insightful Investigator- The fleeting makes this card probably only playable weird it's probably like they said in an OTK deck to power draw.. but I think you could play this in aggro with many 2 cost cards.. maybe there will be a fleeting synergy in the future.
Edit: changed my mind about this card, draw is very strong in runeterra and we don't know what blidgewater got to offer so maybe this is really good it reminds me of Gadgetzan Auctioneer.
Patrol Wardens- when not played exactly at 2 this card just isn't that great so probably aggro.. for 3 it's bad.
Vi- now Vi is a really strong unit, P&Z doesn't have too many challengers.. if any tough + challenger is really neat the fact that she gets more attack in hand as well it's really good if you manage to level her up she is really a game ender.
I think the point of Vaultbreaker isn’t to cast all the copies at once. Rather, you cast it once and then you get the bonus of being able to cast more copies of it later. This could be useful against something like Frostbite, because it means that your opponent knows they can’t get your units to 0 Power that round. Also, maybe the fleeting copy could be discarded? Overall it still seems weak, but it has some upsides that aren’t immediately apparent.
Oh it's like echo in hearthstone.. interesting then.. hmm I can see the value in this this also activates lux and heimer's best turret.
Oh I underestimated this card, yes the effect is kinda bad but I can see the synergy.
Veteran Investigator says "ALL players", not "BOTH players". Could this mean we'll be seeing a game-mode with more than two players? ;D
That was my first thought as well :D
In spanish he says "ambos" who mean "both", so i dont believe...
is investigator herself fleeting?
Since there's no period after the word "draw" I assume the card you draw is fleeting.
yeah prob kinda weird it doesnt say give it fleeting
These “When I’m drawn” cards seem like they’d work well with Jinx discard, since that deck draws a lot, and if the “When drawn” effect can’t be used, then you can just discard them.
