  • Blizzard loves eternity.

  • On paper, this is absolutely nuts. If you manage to get it copied so you have 2 at the same time it may just be a never ending train of taunts.

But on practice, I kinda feel it will end up very similarly to Lucentbark, in that its likely just too many ways you can safely remove this and deny them value. Notably, if you simply just board clear the whole board at once then the deathrattle will simply not find a target, so even paladin have methods of denying this value.

  • This plus Hadronox = infinite taunts?

  • Hadronox approves of this card

  • Now if you fill your board with these somehow it becomes fun...

  • This will be in my Odd druid deck for sure.

  • You can go infinite if it goes right, but it can be canceled by silence or no more minions on board. so better not trade away your minions before trading away Greybough.
Generally weak against silence or AoE Burst(plus trade if needed).

I like this card, it has it's shenanigans, but also weaknesses that are reachable.

    • It's not even all that weak against silence, since you'd still have a 4/6 left.

  • Someone tell Dekkster that "bough" is pronounced like "bow to the king" not "tie a bow".

    • I think this largely depends on where you come from. Many people would pronounce it like the later, considering it resembles dough.

I sit in the later camp, but you can pronounce it how you want.

Using spelling to determine English pronunciation is a bad idea...

        Though

        Through

        Cough

Hiccough (original/alternate spelling with same pronunciation as Hiccup)

Bough (means a branch of a tree).

All have 'ough' and are all pronounced differently. 'Bough' is indeed pronounced as Warfric states.

  • This minion looks sick - is there any way to consistently abuse it? Maybe Germination?

    • With germination you can essentially have infinite Greybough if properly set up (assuming opp have no silence etc). Now that looks fun.

      • That won't be infinite I think. The first Greybough would die, granting his Deathrattle to the other. When the other dies, it summons Greybough, but wouldn't have a target to place its own Deathrattle anywhere. You'd need at least three Greyboughs to go infinite, which isn't impossible but is a lot harder.

In theory it's good in any deck that plans to always have minions on board, i like it in lucentbark but, in theory it'll work really well in any kind of tokeny druid. Treant druid maybe?

  • Guess we went from Treant Druid to Tree Druid

  • Copy it a few times for unstoppable forever board, unless you play vs Priest :)

    • There is a world where copying it a few times won't be truly indestructible

It entirely depends on if a Greybough buffed by a copy of Greybough tries to give his summoning deathrattle to your empty board before resummoning the other Greybough, which I believe is what happens

If resummoning happens first, it takes a whole 2 of them to make you unkillable to regular attacks

      • Yes, the deathrattles will resolve in the order the minion got them, so if there are only 2 of them the second's deathrattle will try to apply to nothing before summoning a Greybough.

Even if there's more than 2 you can be clever and slowly whittle them away, but it would take a long time. E.g. for 3 of them:

        1. Kill number 1, who puts its deathrattle on number 2.
        2. Kill number 3, who also puts its deathrattle on number 2.
        3. Then kill number 2, whose own deathrattle fails before summoning 2 more.
        4. Now you can kill 1 again.
        5. Then kill 3 whose own deathrattle fails before summoning 1 more.
        6. Finally kill 1 for the last time.

It's a lot of work, but possible at least.

        • That's what I thought

Still, quite annoying to deal with, unless you're a priest with mass dispel heheh
