This weekend a Gold Open tournament took place in Shanghai as part of the second season of the Chinese Grandmaster system. 64 Chinese players battled it out for their share of the prize money and Gold points to help them qualify for the season finals, giving them the chance to join their compatriot VKLiooon at BlizzCon global finals. This tournament introduced the new Shielded Conquest format that Grandmasters Season 2 uses for the Chinese audience.
