Stay up to date with all the Return to Naxxramas card reveals in our dedicated guide!
Before we say anything else, let's make sure you know that nothing has been officially confirmed by Blizzard, and the title of this article is 100% taking an educated guess.
Blizzard has posted three new images onto the PlayHearthstone Twitter account along with some descriptions and alt text, confirming some interesting details. As you may well be aware, we're at that stage in March of the Lich King's expansion cycle where the next mini-set should be announced and then released. Blizzard appears to have begun teasing us!
Here are the three images Blizzard posted:
As you can see, we've got a lot of Silvermoon City, and what appears to be the underside of Naxxramas. Blizzard has been writing alt text descriptions to aid in accessibility on Twitter recently, which says a lot more than their actual tweets.
A far-off view of Silvermoon City from the sky. An ominous shadow approaches the city, plunging it into darkness.
A view of the gates of Silvermoon City. Bubbling, green slime creeps towards the gates, withering the surrounding trees as it passes.
A view looking up at a statue in the middle of a plaza in Silvermoon City. Above the statue, floats the underside of an eerily familiar structure.
The "eerily familiar structure" is without a doubt Naxxramas.
What exactly Naxxramas is doing floating on over Silvermoon is anyone's guess, but it's sure going to be interesting to see what new cards we end up seeing as a result of NAXX OUT.
- Perhaps we'll see some reconfigurations of iconic cards from Hearthstone's past Curse of Naxxramas adventure.
- Maybe we'll get some new solo pve content since it's been a while since we've seen any of that.
- Could Curse of Naxxramas be brought back into Standard for a brief period to shake the meta up even more than the simple mini-set?
Let us know your predictions in the comments below. We're getting very close to the mini-set and expect news any day now.
