a lot could be said about it. I tried some variations, giggling inventor works better (because conjures calling works well on the 7-cost) than flamestrike.

Hearthstone does a great job of showcasing characters, abilities, and weapons from Azeroth, but one thing I would like to see included are the amazing locations. I've been trying to come up with how to turn this concept into a card type, but I need some help. I call them "Strongholds" and they would be spells that would pop up on your secrets "frame" around your hero like quests do, giving some kind of defensive or offensive bonus, and requiring some kind of special action from your opponent to bypass or destroy. The issue is that they can't have too hard of requirements to bypass or they will automatically win against any deck that doesn't have the cards to meet requirements. On the other hand, they have to be powerful enough to be worth playing in the first place. I'd love to hear some ideas out there. I want to capture the fantasy of taking refuge behind a wall or in a magical temple that will help you in a battle.

Eye-catching how much dust it costs compared to say The Witchwood era. He should have gone back to a League of Explorers-era meta though, as highlander decks have been reintroduced into standard and effective singletons tend not to use the cheap stuff. But ... were the original Reno Jackson decks cheaper than today's Reno-using Mage?

Also, take note that the argument of "make aggro decks because they're cheap" is falling flat, according to the numbers.

Old Guardian is a decent HS streamer on YouTube to check out for those learning the game, looking for deck ideas or how-tos on using popular decks. (Also has a unique voice, he should be cast as a magicka-using Nord quest giver in The Elder Scrolls games.)

Bloke says he's going to promote budget decks soon, btw. Good on him.

Hi all!  I just wanted to take a minute and celebrate completing 500 wins will all 9 classes.  I just finished Paladin using Quest Pally, which also lined up with my 7000th overall win.  I know many others have many more wins, but this is an exciting milestone for me, so I thought I'd share.

Anyone else hit an important HS milestone recently?  Any upcoming?

1. Is it just my local meta or is the Hakkar card back still what maybe 10% of everyone else's opponents use as well? Obviously it was everywhere 6 months ago when it was released, but I'm surprised at how prevalent it still is - it's definitely the one single back I see most often by a wide margin. Just me or are others seeing this too? DO you think it's because it's a true favortie or just people being too lazy/not caring enough to manually change their favorite after it was auto-changed to Hakkar?

2. While we're on the subject, I'm curious how does everyone else use cardbacks? I like to find a back that fits the deck i.e. Machine Dreams (https://outof.cards/hearthstone/card-backs/110-machine-dreams) for my Mech Warrior, VanCardback (https://outof.cards/hearthstone/card-backs/94-vancardback) for Burgle Rogue, Moonwell (https://outof.cards/hearthstone/card-backs/96-moonwell) for Quest Druid, etc. So do others have a different back for each deck, one favorite they use for everything, is still using the basic back because they could not care less?

Hey guys I was wondering; how does Pressure Plate work if my opponent plays Conjurer's Calling on a minion on his side of the board?

Does the Secret trigger first killing the minion and also "Countering" the spell or Conjurer's Calling triggers first and I end up killing one of the 2 minions?

Just wondering, never had a chance to see the interaction but I'd like to be prepared.

So the latest Trolden video opened with a streamer pulling a Sorcerer's Apprentice off of Zephrys into lethal.  I did some digging around and it turns out the deck he was playing was an OTK paladin that involved getting a guaranteed Sorcerer's Apprentice.  Apparently the girl is guaranteed if the board (including weapons and secrets) is completely empty, you have 2 mana left and a large hand.  However, there seem to be other conditions that I couldn't google up because the streamer in the video got her by playing a nonsensical (but deliberate!) sequence of cards into Zephrys leaving 7 mana.  If anyone understands it, I'd love to know how it works

In any case, this really got me thinking.  We basically have a method to fetch Sorcerer's Apprentice in any class now.  This has to unlock a lot more than just paladin OTKs.  The first thing I thought of was reviving APM priest, as the only card that rotated out was radiant elemental.  I had no success so far, mostly because priest has trouble clearing the board completely while having 4 mana free (though I have figured out that APM combo pieces are really really good in good old inner fire priest.  Amet, divine on him, boar, topsy then vivid nightmare on it is 14+14 damage!).  You can also apprentice with unstable evolution in wild shaman, but being wild, it's not even that good

What do you guys think?  Do you have any cool combos in mind with neutral apprentices?

Flights over Pandaria is my take on the Year of the Dragon 3rd expansion. Yes, this will set after Saviors of Uldum events (even thought we haven't seen the single-player content of it yet). My idea is that League of Explorers successfully dealt with Rafaam's plan and saved Uldum from the plagues. But League of EVIL still up there with Dalaran and now they are moving towards Pandaria! They are joining forces with Mogus, Zandalari trolls, Sha, Jinyus and even some Pandarens to continue their chaotic scheme. And what about the non-evil classes: Druid, Hunter, Mage and Paladin? Well, these will have some celestial companies.

Let's check it out the main features of the expansion:

• Explore the continent of Pandaria: Introducing Locations

Locations! These spells have a temporary effect that afflicts both players. The idea is similar to Boomsday project cards, but this time we have a ongoing passive and not just a card. Every location card specify the duration of turns (It counts turns from both players). It is not possible to play a location with another one already in play. Each class will receive one legendary location.

• Become a Monk: Meditate Keyword

Meditate is a signature ability of Monks and now its also a keyword! It triggers when the minion could but didn't attack.

• Devote to the Celestial Gods: New Highlander Card!

A familiar face is now stronger than ever. Wrathion* is bringing the power of August Celestials: Xuen the White Tiger, Yu'lon the Jade Serpent, Chi-Ji the Red Crane and Niuzao the Black Ox. Also each non-evil class is going to receive a celestial blessing spell.

• Serve to the League of EVIL: New Lackey and interactions!
  

Mischeavous spirits are now lackeys of League of EVIL. Expect to see more cards with lackey interactions!

*Note: Yeah, I know this art was used back in Gadgetzan (Wrathion). But i couldn't find at least a reasonable art... sorry for that, but I didn't want to put a bad artwork for such a important card for the set. If someone finds out a good art for this, send it to me please.
And the celestials gods card "tokens" are still in progress. (also need a great art for Yu'lon, Niuzao and Chi-Ji)

Two meme decks (for Wild format) to show around the core cards: Dragon Soul and Surrender to Madness.

I made these decks just for fun. Because I haven't seen any deck like this, I have posted these decks. They are not really great as there are much better priest decks to play, but I hope you will atleast be amused to see what I can do the best with meme cards Dragon Soul and Surrender to Madness.

Dragon Soul's Army

The first deck (Dragon Soul's Army) can be abused easily with a card combo play in order: Test Subject and Radiant Elemental -> Cast Embalming Ritual on Test Subject -> Cast Topsy Turvy/Forbidden Words. Then go for an infinite to make a full board of 5/5 [Hearthstone Card (Spirit Dragon) Not Found] or have many shaman spells from Witch's Cauldron.

Unfortunately, It is a wild format so it's not a gamebreaking, as it is not infinite due to limited resources. You can add more ammo with Seance and Body Wrapper, but that's pretty much it. It also feels bad not to get Dragon Soul at time you need, so maybe replace some mid/late game minions or spells to make this deck work properly? I don't know, but you can change the deck to your liking if you feel something is wrong.

I have added a very important note in the last part of deck's guide. Please read it before you play it.

Surrender to Mechs

The second deck focuses around Surrender to Madness, Surrender to Madness seems to be very hard to make it profitable for priest, but to make it work, we make it a deck based around mechs with reasonable ideas.

You first have to play Surrender to Madness on turn 6-8, if you worry about your lost mana crystals, the mechs' mana cost can be discounted by playing Galvanizer and Mechwarper. Plus, mechs love getting buffs as they can magnetize and go charge as long as the mechs are alive on the board.

It is not a good deck due to mechs being very weak in early/mid game by lack of mechs support from priest's cards. So it's really not a great deck. The reason why I made wild format is because of Jeeves for an additional card draw. There can be another problem, like if you're not able to get Surrender to Madnerss after your have deck 10 cards left...

You can change it the way you want for this deck, so use this deck as the main idea to play around with Surrender to Madness, hopefully, you can make it fun out of it!

So, as I tried them through some playtests, they are not really great than what I wanted them to be, even if they have some insane potential. In any case, you can just use those decks as a whole idea to make a good deck, but I find it hard to make it really work, so I leave it up to you! Have fun meme-ing around!

The graphic on the Tombs of Terror "Coming Soon" sign says that it will release in 5 weeks! What do y'all hope the solo content will be like this time? Personally, I think it'd be really cool if you opened packs that were only valid for that specific Dungeon Run, and were able to take out and add cards as you please! The "card packs" would obviously only feature specific cards that would usually be in buckets on three in the other Solo Content modes. I remember hearing somewhere that they were going to mix things up a little with this one, so maybe they'll do something crazy like this!

I'm trying to build a somewhat viable Mogu Cultist deck in wild and wondering what the best way to go about this is. I've made a bit of a deck but have only managed to make the combo work one out of 5 games. So far my combo is burning out my deck with Myra's, next turn play Mogu Cultist + Shadow of Death x2, and the turn after play your second cultist once you draw the other 6 from your deck and play Drakkari Enchanter for 40 damage.

My issue so far has been two things:

1) Surviving until the combo can get off

2) Drawing through the deck

I've tried going with both a battlecry/combo draw setup and a Gadgetzan Auctioneer setup. So far the Gadgetzan has seemed to work better and since I've added it, I've had less need for Myra's. So, in terms of draw, I think I'm going this route. Outside of that, surviving has been difficult. I like using Antique Healbot for survival purposes but I'm trying to determine what to use for taunts or removal. Obviously Sap, Vanish, Shiv, Fan and Backstab but past that I've found myself having to make hard picks.

I guess ideally I would love to know some successful lists that people have been running. I know there's some Tak builds where you copy 7 Mogus straight into your hand but I've been having a really hard time getting these conditions to align. Either way, any discussion would be appreciated!

I have to share this video. I love NZ accent.

I have a quest that reads "win a game with hunter or mage" for 50 gold, then I have another quest that reads "win two games as priest" for 50 gold. This doesn't make any sense. With the second quest I have to win twice as many games, and I get less options for what class I can play, but the gold reward is the same. Does this seem weird to anyone else? And why would blizzard make their quests like this? 

Has there been any announcement what the plan for the single player content for SoU will be?  I haven't seen any announcement and wanted to know if I should start hording gold now if it's going to be similar to Dalaran Heist.  

Im thinking of removing a card for a Dirty Rat ..  it'd really just be a tech against armor druid.. 

Hey there, fellow members of OoC. I am Esparanta, an avid Wild deckbuilder who loves to try different shenanigans and tinker exotic decks. Recently, I created some decks under the name of "Out of Budget" and the rules are:

• Create a deck consisting of only Free/Common/Rare cards. No Epic/Legendary cards are allowed.
• Don't try to add freebie Epic/Legendary cards (Looking at you, Archmage Vargoth/SN1P-SN4P). If you do, just mention your freebie Epic/Legendary cards within guide.

Now that the meta's starting to settle, and the first vs report and kripp's crafting guide are out, I'd be interested to know what you're planning to craft, or have recently crafted.

For me, I'm planning to craft zephrys, dinotamer brann, plus one of snake trap, rat trap and masked contender, which will give me a good highlander hunter deck. Will also craft 2 x psychopomp for a combo priest deck. Gonna hold off until I unpack 1 more legendary though, in case I get anything I need from packs first.

So THIS happened to me today... all in one turn so it couldn't be prevented.

It's that time. The meta is far from settled, there will likely be no actual nerfs for weeks, but salt is in the air. What nerfs would you like to see at this overly premature time?
