So no doubt if you've been around the forums for Potion of Illusion, you've heard the rumblin's of exodia mage being back in standard with Maiev Shadowsong, but if you're like me and you don't enjoy crafting niche legendaries there's a way to do it without them, it just requires a setup turn.

The combo is. Play double Sorcerer's Apprentice and double Potion of Illusion, that will get you four, one mana apprentices, and next turn with the coin you've got from Licensed Adventurer, or from going second you play Archmage Antonidas, coin, four apprentices, and fireball them in the face until they're dead.

Alternatively if you have maiev, you would normally only need to run a single copy of Potion of Illusion, but that would require two turns of setup due to antonio being asleep for two turns, the lazy archmage.

"But clawz, how do you complete the quest in this deck? You don't seem to be running enough spells to do it?" Our main goal isn't the quest it's just there for two mana 2/3 draw cards and cards that give us coins. If you have completed the quest with anything but free fireballs from archmage antonidas you're as unlucky as i am and your apprentices are on the bottom of your deck.
