Soul Fragment Galakrond Warlock

Hello Everyone! I am Rarran and I am here to talk about my Soul Fragment Galakrond Warlock. Here are the stats on this deck. I went 24-8!

Background: I am a high legend player, currently I am at ~400 legend on the NA server and I hit rank 1 legend at the start of the month. I play against a lot of druids and paladin, much like a lot of you, so I decided to create the best deck I can use to beat them.

Key Cards:

Broom: this card is so good in this deck, it works when you play Galakrond, any invoke, and with Flesh Giants. The amount of tempo this card provides is beyond insane, may have to run two.

Soul Fragment Package: I will do all cards here, the soul fragment package seem to be a great way Galakrond to stay healthy and consistently manipulate your health for Brittlebone and Flesh Giant. I do think that this package is way more consistent than Zephyrs and DQA, that’s why they are cut.

Soulfire: this has been the biggest surprise and has won me so many games. No one plays around just one Soulfire, and can get opponents off guard. This is also important since without Zephyrs, you can lack reach to finish games.

Match ups:

Druid: this is about a 50/50 in my experience. It matters on two things, do you have plague of flames and did they ramp. Some games druid will just win but if they don’t ramp super hard you have a chance.

Mulligans: Invokes, Plague of Flames, Dark Skies

Paladin: Seems to be slightly favored in my experience. Paladin needs board to do anything, so your goal is to keep them off the board with plague of flames, dark skies and nether wing, once you can swing the tempo, use flesh giants with broom or the nether wing just may be enough to swing the tempo. Once they are off the board, keep them off while increasing your pressure. Also force them to have answers, paladins can’t answer everything, don’t play too scared you need to get on board at some point. brittlebone destroyer is so powerful in this matchup.

Mulligans: Dragonblight cultist, netherbreath, spirit jailer, dark skies, soul shear, crazed netherwing

Priest:

I will keep this one short, unlike the games, try to keep the tempo going, priest doesn’t have draw, they will run out of answers and you can keep pushing your lead. Don’t play too much into removal and finish them with burn.

Mulligans: invokes, spirit jailer

Warrior: Same idea as priest. Bomb warrior is tricky since you wanna draw through your deck and might be the hardest match up. Try to put pressure on and take risks on them not having removal.

Rogue, Hunter, Zoo warlock: you win if you can stabilize and out heal the damage. So keep removal and spirit jailer to add soul fragments into your deck.

Mulligans: Dark skies, Soul Shear, Nether Breath

Conclusion:

My Galakrond Warlock seems to be very strong in the current meta game! I will he posting a video guide on the YouTube channel tomorrow if you wanna see how I make decisions.
