The wincon of this deck is to defeat your opponent with strong burst spells.
Sorcerer's Gambit Stall for Time Reach the Portal Room Arcanist Dawngrasp
- Sorcerer's Gambit will generate resources while helping to close the game.
- Brain Freeze and Ice Barrier are good stall cards that also progress the quest.
- Ignite, First Flame, and Fire Sale are strong board control cards that will further the quest.
- Arcane Intellect and Runed Orb are cards that generate great value and synergize with the quest.
- Sanctum Chandler will help you cycle through your deck, and can also be a win condition if you play all your other spells and only have Ignite in your deck.
- Wandmaker, Venomous Scorpid, and Entrapped Sorceress all generate value that can complete the quest and get you out of a pinch with extra answers.
- Armor Vendor and Firebrand are in the deck to help stabilize against aggro decks.
- Devolving Missiles is a tech card against hand buff paladin which I believe will be very strong and will complete the quest faster too.
Mulligans:
- AGGRO: First Flame, Fire Sale, Firebrand, Wandmaker, Runed Orb, Arcanologist, Armor Vendor/Ice Barrier, and Devolving Missiles are the cards you will be looking for. Do not be afraid to mulligan away your quest because it will not be relevant against aggro.
- CONTROL: Sorcerer's Gambit, Arcane Intellect, Devolving Missiles, Wandmaker, Venomous Scorpid, and Entrapped Sorceress

Why wouldn't you just run Devolving Missiles against Buff Paladin? Way more efficient than Librarian. It's an Arcane Spell too so it will advance the quest.
I wasn't using Devolving Missiles because I forgot about it lol, that is a much better card to include. Thanks.
If you're looking to cut Flurry (Rank 1) it might be worth dropping in Arcanologist to tutor for the Ice Barriers. Between Runed Orb, Venomous Scorpid, and completing Step 2 of the quest you've got 5 chances to discover another frost spell.
That is a great suggestion. About 20% of the spells mage has are frost, so at 5 rolls it is very likely to find one if the damage is relevant, and even if you don't the quest reward isn't always needed. Thank you.
