Updated the list (not the guide yet sorry) with AoO.
Pack Tactics and Scavenger's Ingenuity gave the deck further consistency.
I added back one Explosive Trap against the current Aggro meta, I might have to find room for one more.
Welcome to the Hearthstone realm!
Red Riding Hood has gone missing in a mission!
The Old Wolf is the main culprit
The Hunter is on her tracks
He's visited the Grandmother first, to gather any clues - wait, this one looks so much like the Old Wolf... AAAGH!
Welcome to my Even Hunter list, the next generation of Face Hunter.
DoD UPDATE: the deck is currently further shifted towards Face archetype.
> It's better than you think: I just climbed from rank 5 to rank 3 with it, with a winrate that I believe should float around 60%. Sure, this is also because i am skilled with the deck (after losing tons of games), but the results are quite good for an out-of-radars archetype.
Even with no board-significant turn-1 plays, Secrets are perfect to regain initiative and keep up with Tempo.
Indeed, this deck has tools to deal with almost any deck in the meta, provided a wise mulligan, smart plays, and obviously, a decent card draw RNG. The only decks where the game is more in the hands of your opponent than yours are Reno decks.
You might even consider The Darkness, if Reno decks are so frequent in the meta (not sure of how this could perform tho).
Once you have already secured a main keeper in your hand, depending on the matchup, consider a secondary keeper:
Flare instead of 1x Kindly Grandmother, if Secret Mages are too frequent.

there is a replace for Houndmaster Shaw?
Replacement is meta-dependant, and i still have to understand it.
So far it seems the only relevant novelty in the meta is Pirate Warrior.
Right now i think i'd try Golakka Crawler,Explosive Trap, Bear Trap.
thanks
Update with the new DoD cards.
Tbh, the deck looks pretty sick now. Can't wait to test it.

I'm excited for you! I'm really hoping I unpack dragonbane. I think if that happens I'm finally going to craft Genn!
I've started playing wild with burgle Rogue and it's actually been fun so far so I really wish I could play this deck :)
Genn is a solid craft for Wild, if anything for Shaman.
Let's see about this one.

I don't quite have the support cards for even Shaman and also a cheapo FTP casual so am super conservative with my crafts haha.
Like you said, wait and see. Especially with how op the new set seems!
Refined for the new Wild meta, and updated with Mulligan guide.
It is still an off-meta deck, but it has plenty of cards to counter a number of meta decks in current Wild. The fact it is off-meta might actually help you in deceiving your opponent.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask! :)
Even the storytelling is on point. +1
What are you running atm in place of the hyenas?
I am trying different cards, including Sunreaver Spy for the same mechanic. And the spy tbh is crap in this deck, extremely clunky. I expect hyenas to be much better due to Beast tag (Houndmaster is literally a monster) and multiple bodies.
It also possible i will have to adjust the deck with more Secrets, for this synergy to be consistent enough.
Yeah, maybe cut Hunter's Mark?
It makes sense, considering the deck already has quite a number of removals.
As for the additional trap, i think it is either a 2nd Wandering Monster, or a Venomstrike Trap, depending on the meta being more token or big guys. Or Snake Trap for some of both.
Going to try this some time this weekend. Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome, hope you enjoy it.
I'm a ftp player, and have never played wild. But this looks so fun that I would consider crafting genn for it!
I hope it's reasonably successful and that you give us an update when it goes live!
Well the deck has been surprisingly successful for me, but it is still an off-meta deck, and i would suggest against crafting cards EXCLUSIVELY for it.
On the other hand, once you have Genn Greymane, you can build Even Shaman (top tier deck) for very cheap, Even Warlock with some extra, but also Even Rogue, and then also try any other Even deck that comes up to your mind, as i did here.
So yeah, if you already tried some Wild games, and you liked it, starting from Genn is a smart idea, cheap, effective, and fun.

That is super insightful. Thanks dude. I think like you say, and ods/even deck will be the strongest thing I could build on a budget :)
This is a pretty clever idea! :) Wish there was more of the story tho! :)
