on demand spell damage is never a bad thing, and a 1/3 weapon for two isn't bad either.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Doesn't hunter have to play a 7 mana card to get this? shaman being shaman..
Nice for a Spell Damage deck, whether or not that deck will be strong enough remains to be seen.
This is really cool because it is Spell Damage that your opponent can't kill. I think one of the biggest downfalls of spell damage is that your opponent has to deal 2 damage and kill your Kobold Geomancer. This card is reliable Spell Damage that you can unleash whenever you need it for 0 mana.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Reverse spirit claws.
Probably pretty good. I'm not sure that this is better than Likkim for even shaman, but the potential for burst is interesting.
Doubt that this slots into any other shaman deck, unless spell damage matters shaman somehow bursts into life.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Too awkward when big taunts are on the board. I don't think the deck will be fast enough to avoid them.
little and collectible Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury. Since it is cheaper and Shaman's spell's are also cheaper with overload and deals higher damage than Hunter's spells, it will act better than it probably.
I have experimented with Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury with Malygos when it was first released and it acted quite well, but there was some Hunter-ish survival difficulties in that deck. In Shaman, surviving until late game wouldn't be an issue most of times i believe and there is Lightning Bloom now which makes Malygos even more threatening so +6 Spell Damage is better than +5 for going lethal and we can put 2 copies of this unlike Vereesa Windrunner.
I will probably experiment with this in a Malygos Shaman deck.

This actually seems pretty good since it effectively offers a free trigger of Spell Damage for up to 3 turns (you do pay 2 mana for the weapon on turn one if you choose to use it that turn, but still). It's really good for all your Spell Damage triggers, and the weapon can even be used to take out some minions.
Strong card. I like it.
It's also an effect I've made on weapons before, so I like it even more for that reason.
Shaman is one of the best classes to get spell power, and this is really hard to remove.
Mercifully, this actually works with Arcane Watcher, or otherwise its no different from playing a minion with spell damage.
Combos very well with Ras Frostwhisper without further need of other minions to add to the AoE. Also curves well into Molten Blast. Just a solid synergy card, really. Its chief deficiency would be that 1 damage on turn 2, where its not likely to do anything to affect the board.
So... Does the weapon get spell damage, or the hero?
In other words, if it breaks after you attack, will you also get the spell damage?
Nice card and good addition for Burn Shaman.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
REALLY GOOD for spell damage shaman. On-demand spell damage is strong, and it also naturally curves into Molten Blast. Seems like a solid burn shaman card to me.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
We can get +1 spell damage for 3 turns. This with Ras Frostwhisper will destroy token and aggro board, hopefully. The only drawback is it have only 1 attack, but surely it's for the best.
This is so much better than, let's say, the hunter legendary minion that gave you tho'ridal. I belive this will see some action.

EU Legend: S52 (ZooHeal Lock); S76 (Highlander Hunter);
This exactly. Of course, the Hunter version has +1 attack and brings a 5/6 body, but yeah. This is much better!

If spell shaman was missing something it was certainly consistent spell damage.
Despite having the powerful Squall Hunter and Lady Vashj spell hunter in standard was missing ways to keep spell damage on the board - Squall hunter's overload would make playing any spells next turn pretty difficult, and Lady Vashj's health would be so modest in both of her forms that the cheapest single target removal could remove her - if your opponent didn't opt to just silence or transform her.
This somewhat circumvents that by keeping the spell damage on your hero when you attack, allowing you to choose when you need that spell damage. Granted this weapon can be removed with weapon removal, which has been more popular against the Galakrond Decks and Pirate Warrior, but Hoard Pillager can be used to re-equip your weapon for the continuous spell damage.
All of Shamans damaging spells benefit from this weapons activation - Tidal Wave is now a lifesteal spell that deals 4 across the entire board and heals that much, Molten Blast now deals 3 damage and summons that many tokens, Earthquake will now deal 6 and then 3 damage, and Ras Frostwhisper while not a spell is improved by spell damage and can deal an additional 1 damage with his AOE.
This is THE card that makes SD shaman a thing. You don't have to worry about triggering your Spellbook Binders, no awkward plays to help Arcane Watcher attack, Ras Frostwhisper can always Consecrate, Molten Blast is always a discounted Imp-losion on average. Then there's control support with empowering Earthquake and Lightning Storm, combo potential with Malygos for even more damage and guaranteed burst enchanting.
Strong weapon. The Spell Damage on demand can be so helpful to be aggressive with some spell or to defend with some aoe for exemple. We will see it a lot
Interested to see how all of these Spell Damage cards come together.
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
If spell damage sees play. This will be part of the deck

There's something about shaman weapons that never seem as good as they should
This is honestly really good. Like it actually is pretty good with all the Spell Damage support.
Spell damage you can bank, we'll see if that's good enough.
I need one of these golden. My new fav weapon :D keen to play it
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Only good if you can OTK your opponent down. Probably get nerf if that happens. So... Dust. :/
Nice cost and real nice in spell dmg decks
All hail the banshee queen.
This card will be the lynchpin of Spell Damage Shaman. It's just so damn efficient
I'm very excited for this card as I am for all of the spell damage support cards being added to standard.
I look forward to seeing how the new spell damage Shaman turns out now that this and others have been added from Scholomance.
Not sure if this is good enough to make the cut outside of spell damage lists, but it seems like spell damage Shaman will be a viable archetype this expansion.
You got me there ^^
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
I love the flavor text lol
Since [Hearthstone Card (Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury) Not Found] was such a hit, let's make a keychain version.
Very good for shaman with a potentially powerful effect given the spells it has access to.
This seems pretty alright, especially since shaman doesn’t often run many weapons, so you could afford to wait to trigger it when you needed it
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Not very playable weapon
-=alfi=-
Same behaviour than Thoridal. I assume that your character is the one that has it. Should been useless (but anything can happen with HS, Hysteria Mythbuster approves that) if with your third attack you don't have this spell power on you :P
Xbox gamertag - Psymonjet
At least it's not as vulnerable than board minions. This can get 3 rounds of spell damage whenever you want for triggers.
More spellpower for shaman, this set brings a lot of support or that class.
That curves with Lightning Storm.
Can see play both control and burst shaman.
By The Holy Light!
Still sticking with my original assertion that anything spell damage with Shaman is better in Wild due to more damage spells that can benefit and hit face.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
Really good on turn 2, especially to set up for Molten Blast on turn 3, but the spell damage is so slow over 3 turns if this isn't played early enough. Good for Sorcerous Substitute on turn 6, but I think Shaman cares more about using spell damage to go face with burn spells. I just don't think this is fast enough for a Burn Shaman strategy.
For glory, honor, and gold!
Thank goodness for the new colors on weapon cards. I was sure that this was a rogue card at first glance, lol.

Not a bad weapon, it might actually push a Spell Damage Shaman archetype. Need to wait and see how strong the overall deck would be, though.
This is the card that has me most excited for the Spell Damage stuff in Shaman. Reliable, hard to interact with Spell Damage is a huge boost for the deck.
