Guess we continue the trend of Demon Hunter just getting cards that do nothing other than being better than everything else
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Again, aggressive even-costed demon hunter cards aren't really likely to see play in wild for a few expansions yet. The card is acceptable, but not amazing.
This post is discussing the wild format.
This card reminds me of Shield of Galakrond in Warlock since they have similar stats and a similar effect. For 1 mana less you lose Taunt and have a requirement to get the effect, so I'm not confident this will see play. It might clog up other outcast effects and make some clunky turns, but it might be enough to justify some T2-3 token DH deck.
if you have a use for those tokens it will see play but the current tempo DH won't play it. it's not aggressive enough.
Meh card, there are way more powerful options to place in a deck, may have been better if it were a demon.
Token synergy, check. Strong stats on it's respective turn, check. it's a demon hunter card, check. Okay i'm pretty sure we just found a strong tempo card that will be hated by people. It still has amazing stats if you play it WITHOUT the outcast effect, so i guess this will see play in pretty much every tempo & token DH deck. Solid card.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
The 1/1s will probably be fairly underwhelming by turn 4, but if you are playing a deck that cares about wide boards maybe they can be put to good use. If this card sees play I think it will be because you really want a wide board, and the 5/4 will grab the attention of your opponent. So your 1/1s will be able to slide under the radar until your next turn when they can be buffed or whatever you want to do with them.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Fuel for the token synergy they keep getting, though just two 1/1’s seems really underwhelming, like the token synergy cards in general feel
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Combining outcast with a bit of token, eh? Solid body to boot.

Maybe the swarm/sacrifice dh will emerge in this expansion.

Thank God this is even.

It says a lot about DH when their weakest card this expansion is a potential 4 mana 7/6.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Okay card, but kind of uninspiring.

Perfectly fair card. It's good if you get the Outcast off, but it's underwhelming if you don't. Even then though, it's not THAT insane, so I don't see this doing too great.
There was a time where Grim Necromancer was somewhat considered in standard and this one's very nearly 2 times as big.
Its a good card, but in a sea of other good cards I can't find a place for it in any deck. Maybe token dhunters? There's just better cards than this in most decks you'll find, and this has the burden of only being good when outcasted.
Eh.. not very interesting imo, this is a support for token DH i guess.
Only playable in token, and I doubt it's good there either. Fair card, right, but outclassed by other DH cards.
Decent Stats and good support for Aggro/Midrange Demon Hunter.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
It's playable on curve in arena - this minion is essentially a chillwind yeti that's more aggressively statted.
If you play with on curve with the outcast effect activated it becomes a 7/6 across three bodies which is VERY strong - 4 mana 7/7 have seen play with Flamewreathed faceless and other minions, there's no reason for this not to see play either.
Due to HOW it's a 7/6 this could see play in tempo or control decks. Tempo obviously wants to be as threatening as they can and push as much damage as possible, while the control decks look like they want to utilize the tokens DH has for their synergy with Fel Guardian, Blood herald and Netherandamus.
This card can be drawn with the newly printed Double Jump, if your deck doesn't have a glut of outcast cards to compete with.
I see no reason you run this over Illidari Felblade. Both need to be outcasted to get their full effect, but Felblade with rush at a base is more tempo driven than Vilefiend Trainer even with the 1-Health difference. With the Outcast, I'd gladly trade 2/3 in stats to be able to remove my opponents 3 or 4 drop for free. Also, Illidari Felblade doesn't even see play in DH right now and the token synergy of Vilefiend Trainer doesn't matter much since Token DH looks terrible going into this expansion.
For glory, honor, and gold!
Someone at Team5 mains a DH
No other explanation for such a favorable bias
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Aggressive card that fill weel with DH identity. Preatty strong in arena, but in standard ladder you want play this card only if you can use also outcast in curve (and that is not so easy). So...probably average card
I don't see it... I'll have to try it and see how it works
Solid card
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Solid but not good enough.
It doesn't seem really threatening, but I am sure I will come to hate to see this played.
It's uh, Okay. You can use it to fuel
Token DH synergy is what pops up in my mind. BTW the token card art looks amazing looks like a xenomorph from the alien movies
All out ast cards are good
-=alfi=-
Outcast cards are good, but this has to compete against even better cards. Not going to see play because token Demon Hunter isn't there.
If you can use the outcast it's a nice bonus, the stats are already nice for the cost of the card
All hail the banshee queen.
Low power level for Demon Hunter standards.
It's a pretty good card, but I don't see it being good enough to see play. It doesn't fit in any current DH deck and doesn't carry any deck by itself.
Seems good, but, generally, stats aren't enough to make a card playable anymore, especially when spread over multiple bodies. Great Arena card, but I don't see it being an auto-include in constructed.
If the 1/1 Demons had rush or taunt or something, this card is auto-include in DH. Since that isn't true, I don't think this 4 man 7/6 is going to be good enough (I can't believe those words are coming out of my mouth!) since cards like Hyena Alpha are arguably stronger and aren't staples in the meta.
Token DH support but I don’t think it will find a place anywhere else.
Decent midrange minion. Too bad "decent" and "midrange" have no place in DH.
I agree with everyone who's already posted - this is a solid, strong minion, will be a great Arena card, but it's just not good enough to see play in current Demon Hunter lists. What it does is good, but it isn't anywhere near broken enough to warrant including over far better and more aggressive minions.
Welcome to the site!
Glad blizzard is releasing some toned down DH class cards. This card is acceptable and that's good.
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Seems like blizz supports token DH with that set.
By The Holy Light!
The most meh DH card from the set, imo.
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
They are pushing token synergy, but the only good finisher now is Nethrandamus
Mabe in the last expansion of the year they will add some synergy to it
This is okay. Not great, but it puts more token minions on the board. Could be good if you have Nethrandamus or that one card that draws a card per friendly minion that died this turn.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
Has solid stats on its own, and with the Outcast effect it looks quite powerful. Might even be included in some of the more aggressive decks, despite its cost.
