don't see the point nowadays, but it's good enough to perhaps see play in slower priests with enough dragons.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
mana cheating is good, if you are playing dragon priest (which maybe is getting another card didn't see all the dumped ones yet) maybe it's good enough? priest has some good dragons.
A lot of these study cards pull from very big pools where there are a lot of bad neutral cards, but dragons are mostly fairly large minions, so this could be acceptable in a midrange dragon priest deck.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Nice to see Dragon Priest getting some love, but I don't see this fitting into any decks currently. It might be enough for a Tempo Dragon Priest deck to arise with the support the got in AoO, but I don't expect the deck to make any waves.
I think this study is better than some of the other studies for 2 reasons. One, dragons are something you want to have in your hand sometimes. With some of the other studies I feel like you would only play them thinking "Well I am dead anyways maybe I can find a miracle". But with Draconic Studies, you can know as you are playing the card exactly what will happen as a result of having a dragon because you know what synergies you will be able to activate. Also, dragons are expensive enough, and there will probably be few enough in your deck that the cost reduction will be more relevant than on some of the other studies.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
This will see play in dragon priest. From what i have seen, we got a good amount of new dragons. And their well statted and have good effects. Maybe this will be the "ressurection" of dragon priest in standard? Also 1 mana spells are easy spellburst activators, so maybe it will see play because of that?
In wild it's REALLY good. Every dragon priest LOVES the chance to discover a Duskbreaker or [Hearthstone Card (Primordeal Drake) Not Found]. Will see play.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Cost reduction for Dragons is pretty good since they're expensive and you want to get them out earlier. It seems like it would be really good in Dragon Priest, although I'm not sure when the last time they got any actual support was.
Complete support for dragon priest, be it standard or wild. 5/5 card.
That's one nice looking book cover.
Discover dragons is almost always good. Being able to discount them makes it even better. Just a solid card for priest, and I'm a little upset that this is the one card that it doesn't share with paladin.
No complain, i like all the studies, i like that priest is tied to dragon, i'll just gonna play it.
Always liked Dragon Priest - so i guess this card is decent enough. But only will see play if some sort of Dragon Priest will emerge otherwise i guess it is too weak.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Maybe priest will get some dragons again, someday. But for now - there are more exciting stuff to put in your deck.

EU Legend: S52 (ZooHeal Lock); S76 (Highlander Hunter);
Worth running in highlander so that you can play it on turn 9, then on turn 10 play Dragonqueen Alexstrasza plus both the minions she generates? Think it's probably a bit too high rolly, but you never know.
May all your legendaries be golden.
Yeah, like the other Studies cards, very useful and value-oriented.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Looks decent, nothin' much but it's cool. Priest does have dragon support from DoD so this helps but idk.
Cheap spell that generate some value. It's ok for sure and probably will see play in some slow Priest deck. In wild is super strong for Dragon Priest
Might be decent in Highlander Dragons. Dragons are usually good, and cheating them out is even better.

Golden craft card! :D
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
Will totally use it a lot in wild for fun
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Dragon Priest is back!
Seems solid. Better than some of the other study cards.
I like the Study cards and how they adapt to each classes - demon, dragon, athletic (read rush) - its a fun concept
This expansion has a lot of those ..!
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Probably will be played more for the mana cheating than the ability to discover a second Murazond.
I could definitely see this getting some play with some spicy dragons in the pool right now. I hope that we get a few more interesting ones in the next few expansions to keep this card viable.
Nice card art. Might see some play at Highlander Priest.
Basically a free card for a drake
All hail the banshee queen.
I love that the studies cards are all cheap spells, it makes them flexible.
One of Dragon Preist's biggest weaknesses is that they don't have a way to discover dragons outside of their class. They can get lucky and generate them with the Skeletal Dragon, but it's taunt will have your opponents destroy it before you can get more than 1 dragon. This little spell is a fantastic way to get around that, allowing the portfolio of dragons introduced in Descent of Dragons to be at Priest's fingertips.
This also means you'll probably discover more of the neutral dragons than the powerful class dragons, but having it be discounted by (1) mana means the dragon should also be more flexible to play with as well.
It's only weakness is that outside of standard there's quite a few very weak dragons in wild this card can discover, and once Year of the Dragon rotates it's power in standard will drop quite a bit, only having the dragons from classic and Year of the Phoenix.
I love dragon as much as the next guy, but I think it's time to move over to something else.
Why put this in your deck if you can just get it from lackeys for free?
Worse than Draconic Lackey. TRASH!
JK JK
I don't think Priest will run this on its own, but this might make Cobalt Spellkin worth including in some dragon-oriented lists just for the chance of getting some of these.
Maybe the discount pushes the archetype just enough to make it playable in standard?
This is a hard one to call...
Can pull some really big game changing cards, so it should be alright
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Dragon Priest returns.
Discovering a dragon is rarely a bad thing. Dragon Priest was the first deck I ever played seriously and that was a long time ago, so I look forward to this one.
Like... worse then the Lackey
-=alfi=-
Wild Dragon Priest: Hello friend lol
The only archetype I see this being run in is Highlander Priest to restore Dragonqueen Alexstrasza to her former glory, but that archetype isn't as consistent as other Priest archetypes and they aren't getting much this expansion to help with that. Draconic Studies probably doesn't see play in a competitively viable Priest deck.
For glory, honor, and gold!
The best of the Studies cards. Especially if you are Highlander and can pull an extra Dragonqueen Alexstrazsa from this.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
I'm playing dragon priest on every expansion since TGT times, that card is amazing, specially for wild players.
By The Holy Light!
My favorite studies! Definitely majoring in this one! :D
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Not sure what deck this could go in, but man would I love to get a hold of that book in real life!
Official Lorekeeper and Spinner of Tavern Tales
More Plagued Protodrake? Hell yeah! In all seriousness, being able to add more Dragons to your hand seems pretty great, so I won't mind seeing this pop up from random spell generation. It's like a Draconic Lackey!
Welcome to the site!
Not sure how strong Dragon Priest will be, but the art on this is amazing!
I thought that I would have seen more of this card in Wild with Dragon Priest but surprisingly enough... no
Its not reallya suprise, dragonpriest is not a very good deck at all. Like last time a draognpriest was good was mean streets
And most dragons just plain SUCK and the deck still massivly lacks draw and what it does is just weaker then other can do
and for standard priest doesnt even have its good dragons/dragon support
