Not too shaby - board clear and refill in one card.
They want to give control DH more love and the whole class some diversification I guess. Or maybe more support for the swarm variance.

This card seems kinda insane. Yes, 7 Mana is a lot, but you are most likely getting plenty of 3/3s to refresh your board in the process.

Loo and behold: the demon hunters have fallen to the dark side. Suffering awaits us all! (for this is definitly playable)
This card really shows they work 2 expansions in advance, when they had no idea how opressive dh would be :D
Looks pretty good, especially given that expensive board clear’s weakness is usually that you can’t play anything else afterward
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
(7) is a lot for a card. Compared with Flamestrike, which only targets enemies and deals 4, this card seems suboptimal, even with the 3/3s flooding your board. However, this is Demon Hunter we're talking about. If there's one class that absolutely should not be allowed to have a wide board, it's them. Coupled with damage from weapons/buffs, this card could easily be a finisher for most games.
Oh, also, with the cost reduction from the Skull of Gul'dan this costs (4)...
Started playing HS in May, 2015. The bad news: I missed the excitement of 'Naxx out?' and GvG. The good news: I never met an Undertaker.
7 mana is very expensive for a board clear, and this card only deals 3 damage to the board.
If a slower demon hunter deck is viable, this card might just be worse than chaos nova, even though it gives you a board with the clear.
Game winning in the specific situation of being played on turn 7 against a wide board, but you would probably be better of clearing the board a little earlier.
This post is discussing the wild format.

DH: "Thank you for the 3/3s"
Swings board for 7. Very scary used against aggro or token style decks.
Also, given that the discover options are much more consistent in dhunters, getting this off [Hearthstone Card (vulpera scouldrel) Not Found] (and playing it in the same turn on 10), its just game winning sometimes.
Very solid card for dhunter.
I could see this working, but it's not like DH has board buffs. It does have Chaos Nova and Immolation Aura though.
Maybe this means Token DH isn't supposed to be played purely aggressively?
Either way this is pretty strong. Just having another boardclear is a good argument for trying to run Control DH.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
That card looks amazing, you can destroy your weak 1/1 tokens and summon a 3/3 for each one... Then deal 3 damage to the enemies and, maybe, summon more 3/3.
I see that card on a swarm/token deck, DH just need more "when friendly minion dies" support.
By The Holy Light!
Good card, hopefully we’ll se some new playable DH archetypes now. Very scary vstoken decks!
7 mana gfor hellfire it's too slow if this is the card you are waiting for to clear the board but Chaos Nova exists, so maybe.. control DH hype?
Probably requires a specific metagame, but it's amazing in that metagame.
I find for 7 mana a lack of damage even though it does leave you a bit a board.
But even when adding thalnos, and that would cost 9 mana ignoring skull, there is not much to add for spell power in a DH control deck.
Illidan on a bike made of fire and hatred. Regardless of Illidan's new bike seems pretty good for wiping boards and establishing one of your own. Since its all minions you could also combine it with that 3 mana illidari summon card to get some 3/3s if you're greedy enough.
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
Well , this looks pretty interesting for some Control Demon Hunter - maybe even Highlander. Glad to see that they try to push other Archetypes and not just only aggro :) - even tough i like aggro
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
I feel like this should be a warlock card, since its weaker than Flamestrike in terms of damage but it also damages your own minions.
But it refills your board, too, so even if you kill your own guys you'll still have the board, which makes it a strong control card.
This card looks like an answer to sticky token decks or very aggressive zoo decks where the blades of Azzinoth (just 1 mana cheaper that does the same damage!) can't clear the board.
But against those decks you'd probably just rather run Altruis the Outcast and go off with him since not only does that CLEAR the board but damages your opponent as well, and it'll take about as much mana.
Maybe this card can make Netherandamus finally playable.
I mean probably not but I like him so I can hope.
It is worse than Flamestrike because it damages your own minions and deals less damage, but it is better than flamestrike because you also get to make minions. Also, because Demon Hunter has so many weapons and minions, it probably won't be too hard to set up the board in a way where you can kill everything and maximize the 3/3s.
However, I don't think this card will be played very much. You either want a board clear and would rather use Chaos Nova, or you want a board and would rather not kill your own minions. There may be a control demon hunter deck that also wants to maintain a wide board that can use this, but I don't know.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
An ability that sounds like it would be useful in the early game, but is way too pricey. I guess it could work well if reduced in cost somehow with another card, but what are the odds of a late game board filled with minions who have 3 or less health?
Official Lorekeeper and Spinner of Tavern Tales
I like this card. Although I am still salty about DH's running all of AoO meta, I like seeing DH pushed towards a more control-y direction. It even supports the swarm DH that never took off.
The ability is pretty nice. Clear the board, and fill your board at the same time. The cost of the card and timing may be slightly awkward, but it's really good if it goes off. It triggers off of your own minions too, effectively replacing what you killed (which could even negate the downside of hitting your own stuff). Having a bunch of 3-Health minions to kill on turn 7 is definitely not impossible, but it won't happen every game.
I'm interested to see the direction Demon Hunter goes in this set though. They could definitely expand their horizon.
Really powerful late game AoE that helps Illidan with regaining tempo, while not having to sacrifice health. This is a necessary card is control DH is ever going to be a thing.
This seems like a good card for Token DH. Normally, it's just too variable to justify putting in your deck - against most decks, 3 damage is not enough, and spending seven damage to not clear the entire board is also not enough. It's great when it works, but that's not too often, and unlike Keli'dan or other similar cards, the average scenario isn't good enough to justify the great scenario.
If you're playing Token DH, though - you can use your pingy bois to lower enemy minions' health down to 3! And then refill your resources by summoning 3-3s. Instead of choosing between the old duo of 'keep up the pressure OR trade?' you can do both.
Better call Thrall!
I think it's a solid control card. Can clear borad and refills your's (and for that doesn't matter if kill some minion that you contoll).
If we compared this card with Flamestrike seem weaker, but Flamestrike can't generate 3/3 and DH have Skull of Gul'dan! At 4 mana the most similar card is Hellfire...
Almost like Flamestrike with no tempo loss. First comes to mind Flamestrike + Dragoncaster, but probably a better version of this because demon hunter likes tokens. Seems strong! We will probably see a lot of this, if the demon hunter gets new archetypes.
7 mana is a lot, BUT it reloads the board for DH. This will see play in every control DH deck, so they can "switch" to full SMOrc. I guess this expansion will be more Token DH based instead of tempo DH? Also 3 dmg AOE is already good at 7 mana, and it HARDcounters The Forest's Aid by destroying their board and "ressing" it on your side with +1/+1. Also a 3/3 baseline is annoying to get rid off, unless you (or your opponent) has a big spell like Flamestrike. Also after this card gets a reduced cost by Skull of Gul'dan, it will be a 4 mana clear + get a big board... Seems like a strong, but not busted card to me, surprisingly, as we are talking about a DH card.
HOWEVER this card might be the next "0mG bL7zZ Pls N3rF!1!11!" card. (- signed by every aggro player that somehow doesn't kill their opponent before late game.)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Perhaps Deathrattle DH can be a thing.
Otherwise it's too slow and weak.
This seems totally nuts. Really good anti-aggro tool, but it also supports DH's aggro strategies.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Illidan really needed a board clear of some sort. This (7) mana addition to his cards pool will surely come in handy.
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Looking at the current Tempo DH deck, even them could slap one copy of this as a last ditch effort to regain the board. Also, lets not forget that DH has a lot of tempo based reach with all the weapons and tendency to stick minions on the board.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
This doesn't fit the current gameplan of any DH deck, and even if a control DH popped up that wants this kind of effect I'm not sure how often you'll kill multiple 3-health minions with it on turn 7 to be worth it.
Yeah, i like this sort of board clear to be honest. But idk if it will fit in to DH that much..
Cycle of Hatred is a spell that is the jack of all trades but the master of none of them. Chaos Nova does more removal damage for 2 mana cheaper if you're a control DH that cares about AoE, and there are a handful of cards the remove a threat and generate tempo earlier in the game (i.e. Glaivebound Adept and Illidari Felblade to name a couple). Standard Hearthstone right now demands that your deck if full of cards that are the masters of a game plan, and Cycle of Hatred just isn't that.
For glory, honor, and gold!
This Card could provide an insane Swing, like Soul Mirror.
But it should be said that 3 Damage for 7 is not good. Flamestrike often enough just barely clears the Board, and it deals more Damage than this. For this to give you max. Value, you have to either face a Board full of small Minions, or use your Minions to soften up your Opponents.

I think exact opposite of this.
Your tokens go face, some is used for setting opponent's minions health to 3 then you use this to turn your 1-2 health tokens into 3/3-s and clear opponent's board.
I don't really think this card is for Control DH, it just gives Token DH more resources. it is like The Forest's Aid more than Flamestrike.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
I feel it's so bad I don't have anything to say about it
UFFF Really powerfull
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Really strong but I don't think Control DH will be a thing yet.
Nice waveclear but it is abit too expensive for it. Basically a hellfire with a bonus of summon with the added cost of 3 mana crystals
All hail the banshee queen.
So they're pushing Control DH pretty hard.
After seeing the rest of the expansion's cards, this card doesn't seem like it's going to make the cut for Demon Hunter. The effect is strong, but I think the damage is too low, cost is too high, and payoff is too easily punished that late in the game.
Cool idea, but not something I expect to see anytime soon
Board clears that also refreshes your board are always powerful but its too situational.
If you can kill off a few minions, this will be easily worth the cost.
Other classes would sell a kidney for this. Oddly DH could pass whitout it, but sure as hell can put it to good use.
Like Flamestrike but worse
-=alfi=-
Dude YES. This should have definitely been a Warlock card.
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
With a lot of weak tokens, this could develop a good board for you
Cycle of Hatred. The name about sums up how I feel towards Demon Hunters. If this token DH comes to pass, this will play a part in it.
Can't wait to see the salt when this is randomly cast off Reno or Puzzle box on a full board. Those swing turns
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
I would love to see a more control based Demon Hunter come around, and this could help with that.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
Very good clearing tool, will be useful if Control Demon Hunter finally becomes a thing!
Big board clear for Demon Hunter, but probably not enough to push a Control Demon Hunter over just straight aggressive and midrange versions.
