seems a bit weak, I don't know what you would use this with (other than maybe that Priest guy with spellburst that steals stuff)
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
I can see this card being useful enough.. stalling is very important in priest and also stelling stuff.. people said that aldor would be broken in priest.. so..
people used to play cabal shadowpriest in dragon paladin back in meanstreets.
Like a baby frost nova, this card mitigates a lot of damage against aggro, and the low cost means it can slot nicely into raza priest.
Not sure what this really does for paladin, but It's a tool that have access to now.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Has applications in control decks by slowing the amount of incoming damage and has applications in tempo or minion-based decks by allowing for value trades. I have high hopes for this card and expect to see it floating around in some lists of both styles of decks.
In paladin, there is better stat-manipulation stuff to help handle the board. In a control priest deck however, I think this could be used as a pseudo-freeze effect to stall the game for another turn.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
A better Pint-Size Potion with Shadow Word: Horror in wild, combos with Cabal Acolyte and Cabal Shadow Priest in standard. But i don't think any form of control priest will see play that isn't rez priest with Convincing Infiltrator in standard until it gets sent to wild, since they actively avoid nerfing the card. Nice try though blizzard.
Living like that.
Priest: This is bad. That's all you can say about it. Priest doesn't really care about an effect like this. This is because PRIEST ACTUALLY HAS BOARD CLEARS. Priest will 9/10 times have either multiple board clears like Holy Nova in hand, or single target removal like Time Rip. The only time it's good is in the first 3 turns, when priest generally has nearly nothing to play.
Paladin: This card is excellent, as paladin doesn't have that many GOOD clears. Paladin also used to run Shrink Ray. Not to clear the board, but just to stall a few turns till they get their actual removal. (And in the meantime trade tokens in the debuffed minions) This will see play pure paladin, and maybe highlander? (If it EVER takes off)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Gross! Between this and Tour Guide, Exodia Paladin in wild could be even more reliable and frustrating to play against. Good spellburst activator as well.
Works to gain some time or to synergize with other cards, good card.
This card seems like it could be pretty good, but it also looks like it won't be. In Priest, you could steal something with Cabal Acolyte. Paladin could use some more AoE effects. This one doesn't clear the board though, it merely just stalls it for a turn.
Its a discover card, and strictly for priest.
There's some shenanigans you can do with this card in priest, Shadow Madness, Cabal Acolyte, Cabal Shadow Priest, etc.
Not something to be included into the deck, that's for sure.
On Priest this can be used to steal their minions, on pally? haft.. i wish Mossy Horror Pally can be a thing..
Great, cheap stalling tool for Paladin. Alright for Priest.
4/5

Could work , mostly for board clears i guess but not sure that this will see play.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
This can be used to combo with shadow madness I guess - it's cheap. Or just to activate some spellburst proc and survive to the next turn :).

Nice flexible card. You can use it stall damage for a turn, or clear the board with minimal losses.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Both Priest and Paladin like having their enemies weaker than them for different reasons.
Paladins either play the board with murlocs or make very tall minions who can swing for a LOT of damage. The problem is that these instances can leave you having to make a bad trade to survive. By reducing your enemies attack to (1) you can clobber your opponents and keep your own minions. Also works surprisingly well with Commencement Speech, as the minion that now has Taunt and Divine shield will take even more hits to kill from your opponent. Paladins can also use this spell with Shield of Honor to make a favorable trade, and then with 1 health missing give that minion +3 attack and divine shield.
Priests have cards such as Shadow Madness, Shadow Word Pain, Cabal Shadow Priest and the new Cabal Acolyte that can either remove or take possession of a high value minion from your opponents side of the board. This card especially has synergy with Cabal Acolyte because of it's spellburst ability.
Both also received High Abbess Alura in this set too, and while she doesn't directly benefit from the spell playing it does increase the chance of a beneficial buff spell to land on her.
It's a cheap, flexible spell in a set that wants you to play spells for additional effects.
Will absolutely see play.
Attack reduction never really worked for priest in stealing minions. Paladin could use it, but I don't see it making the cut.
Weak in my opinion. I don't know why i need to use this in combo with Shadow Madness, Cabal Acolyte, Cabal Shadow Priest or in Paladin with...Kodo? Probably is a waste of space in a deck
Good for Priest in wild to destroy all minions
Better than a 7 mana legendary from TGT (or gvg?)
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Not much good in Paladin, but way better in Priest for sure.
I read it the first time thinking it was only a single target deal ... then read it again ... ''Set the attack of ALL enemy m...'' All !!!
Even if just for a turn, this can create massive swing and optimal trades ; nice
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Miracle priest!
"My winged children fill the skies."
"A hundred kings will rise again!"
"Who knows what secrets we'll uncover?"
"The stars align!"
"The stars align!"
It's like a baby frost nova. I don't see why priest wants to cast a frost nova when they have so much removal anyways.
Priest can make use of this, too bad Shadow Word: Horror is in Wild.
Great cost for the effect, it is just a delay card but imagine this with shadow word horror in wild
All hail the banshee queen.
One the one hand it is pretty weak and doesn't do anything by itself, but I just love the potential Cabal Shadow Priest combo too much to call it bad (even though it is).
This seems very strong to me for control. This might even make Shadow Word: Horror a regular for Priest in wild?
In standard, I suspect this won't make the cut except for combo gimmicks with Cabal Acolyte, but we'll have to see.
I think that this card will be played just for priest.
That class have more synergy with low attacks enemy minions.
By The Holy Light!
[Hearthstone Card (Cabal Acolyte) Not Found] + Wave of Apathy = instant profit!
Pretty interesting defensive card that might see a little play for swing turns.
If you don't have the board to clean the weakened dudes, it's a "prevent from 5 to 15 damage" or something. Of course, could also be "dead in hand, but hey, it costs only (1)!". Never liked this effect that much, don't think I will start now.
I really don’t see this seeing play. You still end up taking a chunk of damage afterwards, and a lot of the cards that would synergize with it are a bit too slow at this point
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
I read "Set health of minions to 1"... that would be great, this is meh
-=alfi=-
Apathy is Death.
For your enemy's next turn.
If you manage to discover it with Renew maybe the opponet will be delayed 4 turns, in order to taking the board from him
I got 2 Golden of these from the pack openings. So I am going to give her the ol' college try. Did you....did you see what I did there? ;)
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
Priests can definitely make use of this and it won't be too shabby in paladin either.
I'm a little apathetic about this card actually.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
For both Priest and Paladin, I think they already have enough efficient removal that they'd just rather run those removal cards instead of this stall card. The only way I see this being included in a deck is if a combo deck in either class existed in a future expansion, that deck would love the 1 mana stall Wave of Apathy offers.
For glory, honor, and gold!
Steal anything with the steal priest now that could be cool.
LET ME CHANGE YOUR MIND
This ain't no place for a hero
Waste of space in a deck. Good discover option and there might be some minion stealing shenanigans in priest
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Well, I can relate to this from college, lol. Early morning classes will do that to students and teachers alike.
Official Lorekeeper and Spinner of Tavern Tales
I don't think it's an area effect, just affects the minions on the board. So it won't mitigate damage from charge cards like Leeroy Jenkins.. limited use.
Great both to reduce damage taken or to set up a board clear, but I doubt it'll be played much. Still a good card to get from discover or random effects.
I really like this in Priest - anything that temporarily reduces Attack makes me want to start running all those stealing cards again, and this is no different. Can also just be a delay tool, which is neat.
