works on SHR it's a really insane card.
gives hp equal to Quartermaster.
Insane card for SHRs and synergy with Salhet's Pride.
With the new legendary effect you will summon 2/3 divine shielded SHR... WTF.
By The Holy Light!
Hobgoblin 2.0 for Paladins. Hopefully his voicelines are equally catchy.
EDIT: Might even challenge Steward of Darkshire for a spot in Odd Paladin.
Just as FrostyFeet said, I'm actually quite eager to see if this replaces Steward of Darkshire in Odd Pally. Honestly, I think it will; I'd happily pay the 1-Health tax if it means summoning larger 1-Health minions.
Only downside is that it's weaker to drop solo, but you weren't really doing that with Steward anyway. Maybe find a way to run this alongside Steward? Tough call.
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich!
Paladin's gotten a slew of Silver Hand Recruit synergies this expansion, and adding this to the pile just makes that archetype look more viable by the day. Maybe a N'Zoth Paladin with unique minion types and SHR-generating cards will work.
Among the minions that Carnival Barker will be good with are Brazen Zealot, [Hearthstone Card (Mrrgrr Murgurgle) Not Found], and Salhet's Pride.
Hobgoblin, except it works with summoned minions, most notably silver hand recruits. I think that this is fairly good, and has potential to see play in odd paladin. I would not think it has any shot at being used elsewhere.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Odd paladin is getting some strong reinforcement with this card and Lothraxion
This seems like it could be quite strong. 2/3 Silver Hand Recruits, and your other 1-Health minions get buffed as well. That's not even considered Lothraxion allows you to get 2/3s with Divine Shield ever turn with a Hero Power.
And both of them are odd-Cost, which is even better for them.
Pretty insane support for SHRs like everyone else is saying. If this archetype (pure or non-pure) takes off, it'll prob beat all other decks that run old gods
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Well dudeading is coming together, but in wild oof it is odd...

Dude-adin looking like it's going to make a triumphant return at this rate. There is a bit more set up than what it used to have, but it's looking like a potentially strong midrange deck.
Hobgoblin has been reincarnated, and I couldn't be happier. I don't imagine you will generally trigger his ability more than twice on average, but that is still a lot of stats.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
A must-have for ODD Paladin.. at least I´ll be testing this for sure..
♡ u 4ever 2008 - 2022
Incredible card. The effect is kinda similar to Steward of Darkshire and Hobgoblin, but Carnival Barker gives stats instead of divine shield. It also has great synergy with Salhet's Pride. they are REALLY pushing Dude paladin this expansion!
Standard: I had a little bit of doubt about DUDE paladin, but with Carnival Barker and Lothraxion the Redeemed i think it will be a strong deck. Seems like a good card.
Wild: Now here is where it get's interesting. Carnival Barker and Steward of Darkshire are both strong options for ODD Paladin. Honestly i'm not sure if Carnival Barker gets included, or if ODD Paladin will drop Steward of Darkshire and include Carnival Barker instead... Both are good in different situations.... Steward of Darkshires divine shields protect the minions from clears, while Carnival Barker is a bit more aggressive, but is more susceptible to board clears... (Divine shield > +2 health) But hey, maybe ODD Paladin might include BOTH and replace a different card instead. (Dunno if ODD Paladin still runs Never Surrender!, but if it does, i'm guessing that's the card that gets shafted if ODD Paladin want's to run both Steward of Darkshire and Carnival Barker.)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Turn 5 Lothraxion the Redeemed, turn 6 Carnival Barker into corrupted Day at the Faire. Now there's a midgame highroll.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Odd Paladin seems to be getting a few fun little cards to try in this expansion. The idea that you drop this guy on T2/3, it means that your opponent HAS to do something about it because the next turn could result in some pretty un-fun things for them.
In standard, it could be just as much of a pain in the ass with Air Raid and the like being able to pump out dudes quick and efficiently
Yes, and this can all even be played in pure paladdin.
NONE WILL SURVIVE!!!
Well met!

Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Those silver hands recruits are being pushed like its Witchwood 2.0 or something
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
this will defitley be good in 1 health palidan but how good will 1 health palidan be
TOTAL CORRUPTION
TOTAL POWAAAAAAA
This card is damn good! You'd be lucky to stick it on turn 3, but later in the game followed up by Day at the Faire and such, it's pretty nice!

Well, this card is definitely really good, apart from SHR synergies, it can also work with cards like Salhet's or Loot Hoarder for additional buffs.
This ain't no place for a hero
Buff little minions, make them resistant to most AoE effects, and be a total pain the ass for the opponent.
Yes, please. If there was a card that flips paladin vs priest in favor of pally, then this card will be it. There's literally nothing worse than losing to a bunch of beefed up little dudes.
And to top it up, it might even get considered in wild. That's something most new cards don't ever get close to.
My first thought when I first saw the card.
Happy for SHR mid-range paladin support. Excited to try it out.
This card is insanely good. The range of 1-health targets for Paladin are nothing to be overlooked.
This ain't no place for a hero
With that paladin legendary, I can see this being crazy in dude paladin being able to puke up 2/3s with a divine shield is nuts I mean at least I think it is it might not actually be that good
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
A great effect for Dude Paladin, but it is a little clunky as you usually want your board buffs occurring when you have a lot of minions on board that can attack like with Quartermaster and Level Up!. Also, I'm just not sure there are enough consistent ways to create wide boards with Carnival Barker in the upcoming meta, but this could easily see play once more are introduced.
For glory, honor, and gold!
All you need to know about this card is it's odd cost..............
Living like that.
Odd dude paladin card. Poor wild.

Hobgoblin for Paladins.
AMAZING card. Dude Paladin will be a thing and this card is immense support for it.
This one looks to be good. It is an odd cost card and costs low enough that it can be played the same turn other dudes come out. Wild odd Paladin gets some (unneeded) buffs here.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
Why not just use Steward of Darkshire?
Ikr, I'm having negative flashbacks.
This hobgoblin seems weird
All hail the banshee queen.
The amount of times I've looked at this card and read 'Baker' instead of 'Barker' is silly. Really good card, and I love that it's summon instead of play.
Welcome to the site!
Another great tool for the recruits, they're getting a lot of love this expansion
This is pretty powerful for aggressive Paladin decks--insane tempo with Argent Squire, Air Raid, and so many other cards. I don't know if aggro Paladin will be good enough, but this card definitely steps it in that direction.
