Quite often a solid cheap removal in the decks it will be included. Therefore it's viability depends on the success of Shuffle Rogue altogether.
Super powercreep on Assassinate, which hasn't seen play in years. With all the things you can shuffle into your deck, this will be a solid removal choice. However, single target removal is only so good, so I'm giving it 4/5.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Just with the new card that shuffles the Tickets, it's already pretty solid 2 to 0 mana removal. I think it can be good, but it's Rogue, so maybe it will just get mostly ignored, and Vendetta will stay the best card in that "spot"
Automatically a 1 mana removal if you have C'Thun, the Shattered in your deck and haven't drawn any pieces. Has lots of potential and is better in control decks where old gods live
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Very easy card to slot into any deck that wants to shuffle cards in, but I'm not sure that many decks have too many effects that do that. Any decks that do will definitely give this consideration. Good in the right deck, bad anywhere else.
On a side note, if you put this in a deck withBaku the Mooneater and Prince Malchezaar, does baku still work if this now costs 0? Not as though it matters, but it would be interesting to check.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Pretty ok removal, but rogue doesn't always need removal, so meta dependent...

I mean yes it works... because Baku only looks at your starting deck not at what Prince shuffled... Prince often shuffles even cost cards but that doesn't prevent Baku from working..

Baku "reads" the original cost of cards so, yes, it still works.
By The Holy Light!
If you run c'thun in your deck it's a neat removal, there are several deck shuffles in rogue so maybe if you do that enough it would make sense..
That being said rogue is a high tempo class kill a unit is reactive card.. But it's a combo enabler if cheap enough.. I hate that it isn't consistent with drawing the shuffled card, would like it more if it costed for example 7 but count the shuffles durain the game.. Rather than current card shuffled.
Its support for shuffle rogue, so we may be expecting to see more shuffle synergy down the line that may justify its inclusion.
On its own, its basically almost always going to be 2 mana since only one shuffle effect puts 3 cards into your deck. On the off chance this may actually allow you to affect tempo while also playing a tempo losing card, like [Hearthstone Card (shadows of death) Not Found].
I expect this to not light the world on fire, but with enough support may turn out to be better than it looks like. A shame that its an epic card, since crafting this really really doesn't feel good.
It's time for a Teddy Bear rampage! I'm not sure if or how Prize Plunderer fits into the puzzle, but every other Rogue card we've seen so far is very heavy-handedly leading us to this archetype.
Most things that shuffle cards into your deck will shuffle at least 3 things. I shouldn't be difficult to get this to be 2-0 mana, at which point it is pretty broken. I don't think the card will be problematic since I don't think a deck focused on shuffling things will ever be terribly powerful, but it will definitely be one of the most powerful cards in that deck.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Strictly better Assassinate. Yes, Assassinate hasn't seen play... ever, but still, strictly better Assassinate.
And a good one too. Shuffle Rogues will love this card. C'Thun, the Shattered automatically makes it 1 mana by itself, but even when it costs 2 or 3 mana, it's still really good. Even though it's probably not a great idea, Prince Malchezaar also works quite well with this card. Costs 0! Togwaggle's Scheme too is quite nice with this. Ticket Master is of course obviously good with this, as is any other new Shuffle Rogue support we get.
Too bad Academic Espionage did not live to see this in standard.
I like the synergy with this archetype they are trying to get at with Rogue. As opposed to Burgling them into your hand, you toss them into your deck like with Academic Espionage. I like this. Targeted removal with Rogue is always fun, especially if the cost is discounted like with Coerce. Lots of potential I think, but still has the hard time with evasive minions.
I like it. The discount C'Thun, the Shattered provides allows this card to act as a more tempo oriented card, which in turn allows C'thun rogue to be a tempo oriented deck with a late game finisher. Seems like a perfect match.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
C'thun Rogue will have plenty of single target removal to combat decks like Paladin or big Warrior, which is nice and will hopefully bring it into decent viability. Unfortunately, aggressive decks like Soul DH and Hunter will still probably run it over :/
Can be played free with some Togwaggle's Scheme help
Interesting card, works well with Ticket Master and Togwaggle's Scheme. I guess their really going to push shuffle rogue, because it's a cheaper Assassinate in those decks.
Standard: Will see play in this new shuffle rogue deck. But i guess that's it. Other slow rogue decks rather use Flik Skyshiv instead. Also it fit's well with C'Thun, the Shattered, so you can stay alive until you pull the pieces.
Wild: If your playing some kind of rogue deck that shuffles a lot of cards, then i don't see why you wouldn't use this. And at least it has synergy with Academic Espionage, in case you want to play a more fun type of deck.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
It's price can certainly be lowered therefore making it playable.
Interesting card. Its value depends on the shuffle support that's given this expansion.
This is a great flexible removal - not that rogue needed help much - but still good addition.
Also, the flavor's on point : "I don't know how those got in there, but I'm blaming you two."
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
This sounds like 0 mana spell most of the time. Not that hard to pull that off for Rogues.
♡ u 4ever 2008 - 2022
already a better assasinate
TOTAL CORRUPTION
TOTAL POWAAAAAAA
I like it super cheap removal granted you're playing some kind of shuffle rouge C'thun and that ticket guy make it super cheap real fast so you don't have to worry about paying the full cost probably ever
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
Too costly, I'd rather run Vendetta instead.
This will definitely be played in Shuffle Rogue and will be a major reason why it stays in the Meta.
Amazing card in general nothing to add
All hail the banshee queen.
Strong with Ticket Master and C'Thun, the Shattered, probably could also dip in Togwaggle's Scheme, but I'd imagine that the former two for a consistent low cost for swing turns.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Paring Malevolent Strike with C'Thun helps offset some of the pain of the sub-par spells.
Works well in C'thun rouge. Maybe shuffle rouge, but by then you may have better removal. I still like the idea of shuffle rouge as an idea though.
"Some inspirational quote from some famous person" - Some famous person
Assassinate but it can cost (0). Will see play in C'Thun, the Shattered decks, and probably in other lists that just run things like Ticket Master which still gets it down to a 2 mana kill spell.
Welcome to the site!
I don't think there is enough shuffle support for this to see widespread play in Rogue. The only deck I see it in is C'Thun Rogue, but I'm a little skeptical about the competitiveness of that archetype.
For glory, honor, and gold!
Good. Maybe. Conditional, so could sit dead and feel bad. Then poopy doopy.
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
Will be run in any Shuffle Rogue deck if it exists and that’s that. You would be happy to discover this, even a 2 mana discount is great for this
This ain't no place for a hero
Rogue gets some decent single target removal tools now. Decent synergy with the other cards they have that add cards to the deck.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
It's better in Wild, where you have tempo-positive shufflers like Fal'dorei Strider that are just good and as a side effect make this cost less. You're not building a deck trying to make this cost less, you're running it because you already have good cards that also make it cost less. Standard is not quite there yet.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
Very strong removal when combined with things like Ticket Master
