I like this card if only because it is more support for a menagerie style of deck.
I really like how they are going about with these old gods. They all feel a lot like their old god counterpart, but still very different. This one looks a little bit weaker than some of the others since, well, it wants you to build a menagerie deck. But it should still be fun all the same.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
what does that mean? 1 random dead elemental, 1 random dead beast ...
Is this the idea?
I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
Clearly less good than the original N'zoth, but maybe you can use this to specifically reanimate a set of combo pieces?
In the right deck, this can still fulfill the same value finisher niche, but I'm not sure that the range of viable minions with types is as good as deathrattle minions.
I imagine that there is probably a deck that wants this, combo or otherwise.
This post is discussing the wild format.
I can see a Big Druid deck that ramps into big threats and then revives them with this. Winged Guardian, Scrapyard Colossus, Plagued Protodrake, etc. The pieces might not all be there in Standard, but this could be a killer in Wild
Seems like a good ress card, if you wish to ress certain minions. This gives other classes than priest the ability to ress stuff, so that's... cool but not that fun i.m.o. Now i have to hate anyone that plays ress cards (in standard), instead of just priests. :(
Okay but seriously, i'm guessing were going to see plenty of weird tribe minions in all kinds of classes. Like priest which got a mech this expansion. We will probably have to wait to see all the possible options with N'Zoth, God of the Deep. Also this seems like an really expansive reload for managerie decks, should they come up. Also, Never underestimate ress cards. NEVER!
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
This is definitely weaker than the original N'Zoth and probably the weakest of the four Old Gods in this set from a first glance, although if they're revealing it this early, then there's definitely got to be some support for it also coming. But just because it wants you to play all these tribes doesn't mean that you need to support all the tribes, which is an important distinction to make.
This card has potential to test the skills of deckbuilders out there, it is a very specific mechanic that can be toyed around with. Im very interested to see what can ppl come up with.

This is a good card for a Menagerie deck which hasn't existed outside of random supporting cards. YET! There's a zoo in the Darkmoon Faire, so I'm pretty sure we'll see some more help for the archetype.
Put your faith in the Light!
If you needed a definition of flexible and broken as hell, this version of n'zoth can and will do it.
Basically you can have your pick. Whether its a Charged Devilsaur, or King Krush, or something defensive like Evasive Drakonid or even Enhanced Dreadlord. The flexibility here is the key, and I wouldn't be surprised if every pro will try to abuse this card with nearly every class.
We haven't even seen all the new cards yet, so there's even more potential for this to be more powerful. 10/10
Deathrattles aren't run because N'Zoth the Corruptor is good, N'Zoth the Corruptor is run because Deathrattles are good. It's the same deal with this guy. If there is a strong Beast, Dragon, Elemental, and maybe Demon that you would already just put in a Control deck, then this guy will see play. That's a tall ask, but not an impossible one.
170 cards; who knows. Druid and Warlock are both halfway there already. Fingers crossed Demon Hunter gets some tools to abuse this with. I just want my control DH, Blizz.
A man is lying on the street, some punks chopped off his head
I'm the only one who stops to see if he's dead.
Hmm. Turns out he's dead.
On first glance, it seems weak.
But the more I look at it, the more excited I get about it. It is so easy to get certain big minions back with him, and it works nicely with Dinotamer Brann. Hopefully they release a few more neutral cards of each tribe to allow classes to really go wild with this.
Agree here.
My initial impression it looks weak, but very curious how people will make something broken out of this lol.
Finally a managerie end game card.. I like this.. it's even more interesting than the old gods N'zoth..
Interesting and could give some creative deck builds. I'm not sold on it right now but could be fun to play around with.
That's right, I think. It's an interesting concept to build a deck around. You have to think about what the best minions are for each group, and how Nightmare Amalgam fits in (if at all).

What I really like most about N'Zoth, God of the Deep is that it gets to be different for different classes. There are certainly some decent neutral elementals and dragons you might be happy to slot into any Darkmoon N'Zoth deck, but that's a lot less likely for other types, and many classes have class minions that are likely to be preferable over those neutrals.
By contrast, a lot of Old Gods N'Zoth decks rely on powerful neutral deathrattles like Sludge Belcher, Khartut Defender, and Sylvanas Windrunner (with only an occasional strong class deathrattle). That package can be slotted into any class, which is nice, but it also makes Old Gods N'Zoth less interesting.
A while back, I played around with a Menagerie Shudderwock deck in wild. This is perfect for it, and may actually make it close to viable. I like it.
This is really cool, now you can look for different Taunt minions instead of just DeathRattle taunt minions.
Sounds like it at least, indeed, but with that many tentacles, we all know where this is going .. cuddles!
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Maybe in a warlock highlander zoo deck.
You can put a menagerie of deathrattles too to include both N'zoth, maybe some kind of meme but highroll decks.
+1 to Team 5 for sticking with the thematical design for N'Zoth v2.0. Should make for some interesting menagerie decks
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Wild: Pretty solid to build a deck around it's versatility
Standard: This remains to be seen with other card reveals
I think this is the most solid Old God from the new set. Highlander decks with lots of minion types will love this as another late-game power play, and of course zoo/menagerie decks will use this as a late-game win condition/board refill too.
I agree with some here though, this will be more powerful in Wild.
Yes i agree with people here, this is more interesting than og n'zoth. The flexibility also make it unique for every class that want to run him.
But i just love that art, though. The og n'zoth looks dark and scary, while this one seems like they want to play with you.
Very interesting card! This could work in lots of decks but i guess we will have to wait for the new cards to see if this will be good in standard.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Seems like a meme... unless they print something people would want to actually summon.

One of my favorite cards of all time was The Curator, a simple yet effective designed card that brought the idea of a deck with multiple minion tribes.
And, in the same way The Curator worked better in decks that focused on 2 out of the 3 tribes it supported, I believe N'Zoth, God of the Deep will work better in a deck that has some tribes but not all of them in the hopes of playing the Old God.
For example, a Hunter deck with its beasts and dragons paired with just a random Dragonbane and Imprisoned Felmaw using N'Zoth, God of the Deep as another win condition will probably work better as a whole than a Hunter deck designed to summon a big minion from all tribes so N'Zoth, God of the Deep can shine.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Really dig the amount of build-around that goes into this card. Curator had people run specific cards and brought light to some cards that would have otherwise not seen play, and I hope N'zoth does the same.
One of the best cards in the set purely thanks to the deckbuilding possibilities it opens. I'm very interested to see which classes will make the menagerie work (probably Paladin, at least, thanks to their multi-direction "class identity").
Well I stand corrected, seems like they did print support cards

Seems nice you could theoretically get a full board and use those amalgams to fill in any gaps your missing
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
Winner of the worst Old God in the new expansion, congratz.
Another AMAZING Old God. This will have a place in Menagerie Warrior for sure, and quite possibly Paladin as well.
I think it's the weakest of the old gods. Has strong support in what looks like druid and warrior, but otherwise could whiff in other classes. Still, a solid craft if you like those classes.

Like the old nzoth but with a new hairstyle, looks fun
All hail the banshee queen.
Since this puts cards back on the field instead of in hand, the previous version was used almost entirely defensively. I expect this one to follow the same suit. This will probably become a control deck staple to bring back defensive minions. Now to try and figure out what those minions should be...
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
I cannot get a read on how good this will be. Do you stay satisfied with 3 good hits or try for 6 medium hits?
Like Y'Shaarj, I can only see Druid or Paladin making use of this card, though I'd lean more towards Paladin actually.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
First thoughts this seems to be the weakest of the new Old Gods, but there are some support menagerie cards so it won't be totally useless.
Well, now that we've seen the whole set I'm excited to start messing about with this guy - definite day one craft. Build-around minions are always fun, and the wide disparity in the available options for each class makes deckbuilding a hugely interesting challenge - Druid, for example, has Fizzy Elemental that no other class does.
My dream would be to get this in Arena once and just ruin someone's day.

Looks fun, but a tad slow for my tastes.
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
The board that N'Zoth, God of the Deep creates isn't as sticky and threatening as OG N'Zoth, which makes me skeptical about how much of a win condition new N'Zoth can be. I think you'll have to run N'Zoth with another win condition where multiple minion types more naturally fit, but other than that I think N'Zoth will see play.
For glory, honor, and gold!
Pretty good. Worse than the original N'Zoth at building a board that is hard for your opponent to deal with, but makes up for that with the ability to pick and choose the exact minions you get back. I don't expect this to summon a full board most of the time.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
Seems the weaker of all Old Gods pretty drafted with N'zoth... I don't think that every class will include it on its decks.
Xbox gamertag - Psymonjet
Any class can play It, but looks like the bests will be Druid, Paladin and warrior.
By The Holy Light!
I'm looking forward to seeing what class would benefit the most from this. Quite curious
