The potential of this to be extraordinary is so wide. Since the clone also has stealth, you can't even deny that card from charging your face without some AoE effect.
Yes, it can also copy a useless minion, but because its a secret, you'll never know or be able to risk it attacking with your sole big minion, unless you're straight up winning after that attack. Otherwise, the counter lethal can be insanely real.
Interesting card - and it is a secret the opponent has to play around to not give you something too good - so i guess this one is ok.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Really great unique effect for a secret, and quite interesting how it's amazing against some decks (Big Druid) but might be bad against other decks (Aggro/Token/Zoo). I would probably treat this secret similar to Freezing Trap if there are multiple minions on board
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
interesting card ... it make Rogue secrets even more dangerous ...
I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
The effect is clearly powerful, but I doubt this will regularly summon much more than a two or three drop. Interesting, but I would compare this to Cat Trick, which is more reliable and in a class with better secret synergy. By comparison, this might be a fiddle to get into any decks.
This post is discussing the wild format.
The options are so wide.
You can get a 1/1 or a 8/8 King Krush.
But the most important fact is that now the enemies will take care of attacking you with big boys if they doesn't want to give you a copy.
By The Holy Light!
ohh so now attacking face is also something you need to be weary of vs rogue.
Now we will have to attack rogue like if it had Vape.
Seems like a good secret that can trip people up from time to time. While the Stealth is very in flavour, it will be rather annoying as you can’t do anything about it.
This ain't no place for a hero
It might turn out to be surprisingly solid. Stealth is hard to interact with, and not all decks have a bunch on 1/1s waiting to chip away the secrets. At least you'll pick this from Hanar every now and then.
Freezing trap triggers always. This only when a minion attacks the hero. So it's more like explosive runes.
This makes it easier to play around imo. You can still safely trade the board before attacking into the hero.
A decent secret, but very meta dependant... It is bad against SMOrcy decks actually

Decent secret, considering the upcoming meta seems to be a bit slower, it might be pretty good. Sure you can play around Shadow Clone, BUT i feel like this should be one of the last secrets most people check for. i think the "check rogue secrets" order is going to be something along the lines of: "Dirty Tricks or Ambush -> the other one of the 2 -> Bamboozle -> Shadow Clone -> not one of the ones before: it's Plagiarize. BUT this order is only if your opponent has no minions on board, if they do Shadow Clone or Bamboozle will be checked first, the other 2nd.
Shadow Clone can also be compared to a similar secret for hunter, Cat Trick. Cat Trick is one of hunters best secrets in the game to this day, so why would a similar secret be that bad for rogue? The only real difference between the 2 is that Cat Trick is always a 4/2 stealth, and Shadow Clone can be bigger or smaller.
Standard: This will see play in secret rogue, or other rogue decks with a secret package. Shadow Clone might also see play in some kind of aggro secret stealth rogue deck, as Shadow Clone fits in both archetypes.
Wild: I'm not sure if this will see that much play. Rogue decks with secret packages rather want draw, or other effects like Cheat Death, and wild is full of Gibberling Druids, and Shadow Clone is REALLY bad and slow against that deck.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
This will definitely trip some people up. It usually won't summon anything better than a 3-drop, but that's honestly not bad. Works with Stealth Rogue and gives you a minion for things like Greyheart Sage. Secret and Stealth Rogue alike will probably enjoy this a little bit, although it's not that good against Aggro.
Interesting dilemma in Wild: If your opponent has a small minion and a large minion, they'll either have to play around this, Sudden Betrayal, or Evasion, and you can't play around all 3 at the same time.
There is not currently a Rogue secret in Standard that is triggered by face attacks, so this makes ALL Rogue secrets better because they are less predictable.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
It's not terrible. It is only 2 mana so you don't need to get a very big minion to get your manas worth. It has secret synergy and stealth synergy, so if you care about those things this isn't a bad option. I imagine it will see moderate play, but it isn't anything to make much of a fuss about.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
You can't control what minion you copy, but you will always add value to what you get.
It certainly makes things awkward for the opponent, more so if you run several different secrets.
This makes Rogue secrets kind of tricky to play around, now that they've got a trigger for almost everything (playing minions/spells, attacking minions/hero). Now you kind of have to treat Rogue secrets like Freezing Trap (attack the hero with a small thing) until you can sus out what they are.
This has a lot of potential to be super annoying. However, with so many ways to destroy low health minions, this may not see as much play as we'd like
I don't think this card will see as much inclusion on decks as it will see lots of "created by" shenanigans (and I believe the value it can generate can really be game changing in that scenario). Seeing as how this card tends to counter big clunky minions and those come from big clunky decks, Rogue is already equipped with tons of value and tempo to play against those decks. Rogue's biggest overall weakness is being out aggroed and I don't see this card alleviate that weakness that much, unfortunately.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!
Pd: Sorry, I can't resist this one
I actually like this secret and think it will be pretty good.
I digging this new rogue's secret.
Are we expecting more - would be neat and less predictable - please pretty pretty please
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
finally got that rouge secret
TOTAL CORRUPTION
TOTAL POWAAAAAAA
Free minion cloning is always nice granted its easy to play around but hey you might get a Tirion because your foe forgot this was a card
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
I'd compare this to Freezing Trap, as it discourages your opponent from attacking with a large minion and allowing you to more guarantee the secret trigger by removing around that large minion. However, I think Freezing Trap is better as it applies to enemy minions also attacking your minions and acts as a tempo punish with taking the minion out of play with a 2 mana tax. Shadow Clone doesn't prevent the minion from damaging your face and still demands another removal resource if a large minion triggers the secret and you want to keep your copy of the large minion on board. Overall, Shadow Clone is a less consistent secret than Freezing Trap, which may discourage its inclusion in Rogue decks.
For glory, honor, and gold!
Glad they stuck through with secrets for rouge until the end, even if this one isn't that strong. Hope this continues on into the next year (with better support and not just secrets hopefully)/

One more secret to consider when dealing with them, I like it.
Stealth is nice to have for the new minion
-=alfi=-
Nothing more than pack filler. Not great, but better Mirror Entity.
Seems to slow for what rogues want to do right now.
Just because of the stealth it makes it an ok card, without it would be meh
All hail the banshee queen.
Interesting spice to Secret Rogue, especially since it needs the face being attacked, not just any attack so people can't trip it immediately with a Animated Broomstick.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
This can be lots of fun in stealth rogue. Just another minion added on board for you to hit face with next turn.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
Cheaper Mirror Entity, except it's easier to play around and you have to get hit by the thing you copy first. The best thing this has going for it is that your opponent will always assume it's another Rogue Secret, because those ones are actually good.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
Seems pretty decent, honestly. Sure, sometimes you're going to end up with a terrible low stats minion because of it, but at the very least your opponent probably won't remove that minion thanks to the Stealth, giving you a free set-up for any Stealth synergies.
Welcome to the site!
Decent secret, specially since the minion it generates can't be easily removed due to stealth
