Divine Spirit rotation hinted in recent AMA

The TL;DR is that Divine Spirit doesn't match priest's class identity, limits card design, feels bad to play against and is something that will be probably changed or rotated to the HoF as soon as they want to print a card that this restricts
At this point, you may as well say winning is against priest's class identity lol

I don't get it, isn't it Inner Fire that's the problem? And attack-health swappers, I guess
@dib I think it its, but it easier to counter the effect by denying Priest the easy access to double HP... as opposed to nerfing 2-3 attack health spawwing minions and spells.
P.S.: Some might call it the "elegant" solution
OK, so without Mind Blast neither Divine Spirit, what's Priest's win condition? Infinite healing until your opponent is bored to death?

That would be stupid as hell. You can't infintely take away a class win condition without putting some proper back sometime.
I realy hope not - Divine Spirit / Inner Fire Combo is of right now the only clear win condition Priest has. Sure you can use Rezz Tools and build up a Wall until your opponent dies to fatigue but unless they give Priest better cards the class could use as win conditions i hope they leave Divine Spirit / Inner Fire alone

Hardly, you have Topsy Turvy and like three neutral minions that swap stats. Inner Fire can be (easilly) replaced for the combo.
They said that since Divine Spirit is a thing, we are likely to see 6/4 minion than a 4/6 for priest for example. So that card is apparently restricting design space already. I dont know if i see it as a problem personally, but w/e.

Don't they have anything better to do than nerf a class that is not even played on ladder except by Zetalot? How about fix that brainless mech hunter deck instead..
I can see why it severely restricts design space since these cards can turn any card with health>7 into an OTK. And priest has access to cards that give more health, so this winning combo is always lurking around the corner. Combined with mechs and magnetize this becomes even more problematic. With double divine spirit and Inner Fire in hand, you only need a mech with 3 health on board and magnetize it to 8 using wargear, combo and you have more than 30 damage.
Coupled with 0-mana silence to remove taunts I can see a lot of problems design wise.
It's a pretty obvious card to HoF in the sense that it's a very powerful but narrow card which clearly poses design restrictions on possible high-health minions. I would add that the combo is fairly boring and cheesy, so not necessarily something you want available to priests in perpetuity. That said, this makes Priests' basic/classic pool even more abysmal and leaves them with no win conditions whatsoever.
Just fucking revise the evergreen sets already blizzard, this is getting ridiculous.
