Hearthstone is getting a fifth art book! As a follow-up to the Year of the Mammoth book and the Year of the Raven book releasing in a couple of months, a new book is coming out this October focusing on the Year of the Dragon expansions; Rise of Shadows, Saviors of Uldum, Descent of Dragons, and Galakrond's Awakening.

Art books are a great way to be able to take in the full art of the Hearthstone card images unclipped by the card shape, as well as art for boards, bosses, background images, logos, and character design all with that premium printed paper. The book is 144 pages long which is the same as the previous two books so if you were a fan of their length before, you should feel right at home with the new one.
If you're interested, you can lock in a pre-order over on Amazon for $35 with the release hitting on October 15, 2021. Have you purchased any of the prior Art of Hearthstone books? What do you enjoy about art books?
More Hearthstone Books
If you're interested in the other Hearthstone art books, or Hearthstone books, in general, they're available on Amazon. We've also included a couple of recent Warcraft books - the Cinematic Art of World of Warcraft and the novel for the fresh World of Warcraft expansion, Shadowlands.

My friend got one of these, and I passed on it because I didn't think there would be much beyond what is seen in the card frames in Hearthstone. And boy, was I wrong. It's actually insane how much more there is to the art in Heartstone's cards than is actually seen in game.
While we're on the topic of art that isn't seen very well in game, it's a real shame that you can't see card backs with that much detail, especially because a lot of them look really nice. I wish the deck-holder thing was slightly different so that you could actually see a player's cardback a bit clearer, maybe similar to what Runeterra has.
Typo on that release date, Oct 2021 instead of 2020. It's still Jan so happens all the time 😁
Thanks! I've been so damn good with it so far >.>
Oh goodie goodie. I love these things so much. Excited for when the Raven comes out, as I already have the first three. Like you say, it's great to be able to just flip through casual looks at the wonderful art in the game unclipped and not on a screen sometimes. There's lots of amazing behind the scenes design information in them as well.
I finally opened my copy of the Year of the Mammoth book over the weekend and yeah, the books really are amazing. There's some sweet concept art I had never seen for the set logos and the Knights of the Frozen throne logo, in particular, felt like "what were they even considering with this one". So great to see that development insight.
Also, Frost Lich Jaina in all her glory is an excellent sight to the eyes!
Oh and my favourite part about the art books as someone who has been using some of this art for content creation over the past 7 years is that I can think about almost every time and way I've used each of the pieces for banners, headers, news article images, and more.
Just a couple of months for Year of the Raven which is gonna be awesome!
