What species this character is supposed to be?
After seeing the livestream featuring deathrattle DH, it feels like the sort of the that is right up my alley.
I suppose that, while Deathrattle Hunter seeks to take advantage of powerful effects to finish off his opponents and Deathrattle Rogue (in the past) seeks to outvalue them with their deathrattles, DH seeks to fill its board, using deathrattles to summon more deathrattles. Kind of a slower zoo? (Not good with these labels, so idk lol)
For some reason, it reminds me of Yugioh decks of the old
I'm pretty sure there is actually a Yugioh archetype that has the same "minion that summons bigger minion when it dies that summons bigger minion when it dies" theme. Can't remember what though.
This is going to be amazing
Here are all the Neutral/Demon Hunter 5-cost and lower Deathrattle minions we know will be in Standard after rotation:
Al'ar, Taelan Fordring, Disguised Wanderer, Fishy Flyer, Renowned Performer, Educated Elekk, Razorfen Beastmaster, Teron Gorefiend, Bloodmage Thalnos, Explosive Sheep, Loot Hoarder, Nerubian Egg, Rustsworn Initiate, Showstopper, Sneaky Delinquent
Of course, there may and almost certainly will be more of these in FitB if Blizz wants to push this archetype.
One interesting note is that among these are an Elemental, a Murloc, a Beast and a Mech (and one which summons a Demon). So Death Speaker Blackthorn could potentially set you up for a high-value N'Zoth, God of the Deep on a subsequent turn.
Other important synergy includes: Baron Rivendare, Vectus, Vengeful Spirit
I don't care if Deathrattle DH will be a thing: I want this card so bad - unless something even spicier comes out, I'll definitely craft it day 1 together with Blademaster Samuro. Not even a single doubt about it.
The idea is cool and all, but I don't know what you're supposed to be summoning with this. Demon Hunter doesn't even have access to three 5-cost Deathrattle minions right now; the only ones we know of are Taelan Fordring and Al'ar. Unless we get some cards you'd actually want to play with this, I don't see this being any good.
More 5-cost DRs would be nice, but they don't have to be 5-cost to be useful. Fishy Flyer and Renowned Performer are both good options for immediate board state effect. See my comment above for all the other options.
I think the new options spoiled today make the deck look a lot better, but at the time I said that this was pretty much the only card in the Deathrattle DH archetype that looked remotely decent, so I had much higher expectations of it. Also it just feels a little bad not to be able to get the full highroll.
I do think it's great that they're pushing DH in a different direction though. The lack of "I hate Demon Hunter and this card is broken" comments here is telling.
