Primordial Protector: broken?
Well, the community is quite aware of the nerf hammer coming soon to a deck near you. Yep. The Devs are pulling it out, and soon, everyone will cringe and decry all the nerfs.
One such card (and I believe this is true) will be nerfed is: Primordial Protector. It's truly broken beyond all measure.
Reason: Not random enough, and is too focused on the highest spell in ones deck. I'm looking at you, Druid. Yes, you.
Clown Druid may not be played as much, but some players are catching on, and rather quickly. After Mage/Pally get the hammer this will be the case.
To fix this, I say the cards ability needs a change. Keep the effect of finding a spell in the deck, but change its focus to any spell in the deck.
Currently: "Battlecry: Draw your Highest cost Spell from your deck and summon a random minion with the same cost."
New: "Battlecry: Draw a spell from your deck and summon a random minion with the same cost."
Cause in my opinion, PP is just too op, and definitely needs to be nerfed, and fast. Otherwise, watch how fast other decks will jump on this card. Making the meta extremely difficult to play against.

Its an 8 mana card. That alone condemns this to only exist in druid or a very late game deck, which usually aren't very good. Right now the only decks that I have met using this card is either druid or hunter, because there's also not many high cost spells around that justifies playing an 8 mana card that needs good rng to either land a taunt or rush. Fail that and what you have is an 8 mana card that does nothing for a turn, that's usually just a losing play.
As the deck moves up the mana curve, there's always the danger that their targetted card being drawn, bricking this card, so it basically balances itself. Only druid really breaks this card by cheating mana, but that goes with nearly every other high cost-high impact card in hearthstone right now.
All I can recommend is a little patience as we're almost certain that something will be done to lunacy mage one way or another so the meta will likely change. This card is far, very far, from what I would consider as broken.
Yes, this means Druid will rarely play it earlier than tun 4, sometime it will even be delayed to turn 5

It's the new Spiteful Summoner, but I don't think any class other than Druid or Hunter would think of playing it. Druids can ramp up to it pretty quickly, while some streamers are already building some minion-heavy Hunter decks with Nagrand Slam and Guardian Animals as their only spells to take advantage of Primordial Protector. But other than that, no, I don't think this card is broken, and I'll be surprised to see it nerfed.
You don't even need to have these 2 be the only spells, as you're guaranteed the highest cost one. In fact, it's probably better to have some chap spells, as that way the card isn't dead if you draw all the high cost ones.
It's probably better to just target what requires a response currently and see what happens later, then respond accordingly. It's entirely possible that somehow Primordial Protector won't be good at all after nerfs. The meta can change very drastically, and in such a way that preys on such gameplans. There's no need to preemptively nerf a card because it might be broken. In fact, it's pretty far from broken right now. It's only "broken" because Druid can play it on turn 4 sometimes.
???
me, I just think it's op in my opinion.
