Hearthstone's Duels mode is getting some love in a new balance patch arriving tomorrow, April 13. Read on for all the changes!
- Ace in the Hole now costs 3 mana (Up from 2).
- Rally the Troops now only reduces the cost of the drawn card by 3 (Down from 5).
- Connections (Hero Power) is no longer passive and now costs 1 mana.
Quote From Blizzard Ace in the Hole
- Old: [Costs 2] → New: [Costs 3]
Rally the Troops
- Old: After you play your first Battlecry card in a turn, draw a card. It costs (5) less. → New: After you play your first Battlecry card in a turn, draw a card. It costs (3) less.
Connections
- Old: [Passive] → New: [Costs 1]

I think it's a shame they nerfed Connections, I really enjoyed quest rogue. The free 1-cost minion made curving out possible after spending your turn and a starting card on playing the quest.
Rally the troops is so busted, everyone instapicks this treasure - it would honestly even be good if it didn't discount the drawn card just because certain classes lack draw so much
Wait how was "rally the troops" ever considered balanced? Doubling Battlecries is already pretty good, casting what would likely be a 5 Mana spell instead seems way better. Now it just casts Far Sight, which should make it good but not ridiculously OP.
Who could have possibly guessed massive mana discounts and infinite value could cause problems in Hearthstone?!
kinda expected more after the "we’d like to share that we’ll have several additional updates for Duels in our next client patch." announcement
Yes, this seems very light all things considered. But at least they are really trying to adjust Duels as much as (if not more than) Standard, for the time being.
