This will replace Arcane Tyrant in wild and it would see play in standard, granted, druid manages to build slower competitive decks. Boy what a good card this is!
okay-ish I think.
Does nothing against aggro. Can help a bit for taunt walls against some minion-based combo decks but control doesn't care medium-weighted taunts.
good package for Overflow + Hidden Oasis + Starfall+ Nourish but might not work.
Edit: Well I forgot about aggressive decks + Tokens. It can actually work in aggressive decks which has bunch of 5+ spells such as The Forest's Aid. It might even be a problem with The Forest's Aid.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
Works well with the Overflow to empty your hand after high cost spell.
I don‘t like the extremes of those cards. It sucks at 5 mana and is broken when active. Just make it a 4/5 or base 4 mana and don’t reduce it to 0 but to 1 or maybe even 2..
Winner winner chicken dinner
Just a better Arcane Tyrant, druid tends to run many 5+ spells besides there is also the sunreaver that also supports a deck with many 5+ spells, goes very well with Overflow
probably one of the best Druid cards in a while.
Arcane Tyrant was pretty awesome in Druid and this is basically just an improved version. Nourish is actually playable again.
Don't underestimate the power of developing a defensive minion while ramping up or drawing cards.
If you play Overflow there's a high chance you're just gonna draw into these, which will help stabilizing a lot.
Druid is looking legitimately good at this point. They got better removal, better defense and the previous combo winconditions are still around without looking too overpowered. I really hope Gonk Druid makes the cut and shits all over warrior (somehow)
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
With this lot of high cost cards, I suppose we'll see a ramp card? Please, it's class identity!
I agree that the combo with The Forest's Aid look very scary. Most of the time I win against Token Druid is by killing them at the turn they play this and that works because they can not play a taunt as well. But now they can! Which will subtract at least 5 from your lethal range (and maybe they have them both in their hands).
It needs two cards but at turn 8 you have had a reasonable time to draw it.
It's an improved Arcane Tyrant and that card saw lots of play. If there's a viable Druid deck that uses large spells this will be in it, and in wild this will obviously go in any deck with UI in it.
This sucks the sting out of having to play Nourish, etc. It's another card I think they could have pushed the stats on and it would have been fine. Still unsure about big-ish druid right now, but this is a step in the right direction. Playing Overflow into this is pretty cool.
I don't think this is played in a The Forest's Aid deck, unless that build is completely overhauled.
Why are people talking about this with The Forests Aid? Unless you want this to rot in your hand for 7 turns, this has 0 synergy with token druid.
Gosh dang it, cards bad.
