Patch 21.3 this Tuesday is bringing us some updates to Hearthstone Duels to make some of the more oppressive treasures "ultra rare". We're also seeing the complete ban of Voidtouched Attendant, which you could say has been a touch problematic.
Quote From Blizzard
- Party Replacement, Rally the Troops, and [Hearthstone Card (Ooops, All Spells!) Not Found] have all been moved from Passive Treasure Pool 2 to Pool 2 Ultra Rare.
- All Together Now has been moved from Passive Treasure Pool 1 to Pool 2.
- Voidtouched Attendant is now banned from deck creation.

This ultra-rare pool is a huge move that I both love and hate. I love that we'll see less of these cards, but after so much as admitting they are bad for the game, wouldn't it make more sense to remove them entirely, or nerf them like you'd nerf other broken cards?
The whole idea of getting lucky with a crazy powerful loot drop was fine in Dungeon Runs, but it's stupid as hell in a PvP mode.
Yes exactly. By putting them in a 3rd category of ultra rare it is effectively saying "yes these will break the game so only a handful of people will be lucky to get them" which essentially is runing the integrity of the game by effectively making these treasures the primary way to get a 12 win run, as it is unlikely for a regular set of tresures to beat an ultra rare late game, unless they have a clever way of offsetting the treasures with lower grade buckets, which would be a good idea imo, if it were possible.
Have to agree that it'll be better to just remove broken treasures rather than just make it harder to get. Because we'd all know without the right treasures/passives you'd just get destroyed in the top tier of duels, and what pushing them to ultra rare pools do is to fill the top end with just that. I'd rather lose clean to someone that played well than someone who lucked out on the passives.
