This upcoming weekend is home to Masters Tour Stormwind and the Hearthstone Team's Gallon as announced that there will be no balance changes this week.
It's a bit on the interesting side to point that out. We don't normally go into a week thinking there are going to be balance changes, so is this a subtle announcement of an announcement of an announcement? Could we be getting balance changes within the next couple of weeks? There isn't any confirmation on that, but at least the Masters Tour Stormwind participants don't have to worry about their deck choices being influence by changes that haven't been tested very much.
Quote From Gallon No balance changes planned before Masters Tour Stormwind this upcoming weekend. Good luck to everyone competing in the tournament!

Flux, I have a question. Why haven't you posted all the data mined info on the leaked mercenaries? Did Blizzard reach out to you and stopped you from doing it?
Well, he did post them, but it seems he's since removed them. Blizzard probably requested he refrain from mentioning anything about it.
I haven't removed anything.
Anything we've ever made public has not been removed. There was a point where they asked if I'd stop and I asked them if they wanted to work together on something and then they ghosted me until I started posting again. At that point I got ghosted once more and I'm officially done with them.
We don't need them to survive.
Fuck Blizzard. They still have cool people that work there and they make great products but their community team leaves something to be desired - a fact that has remained true for the entire existence of Hearthstone. Just when you think they're getting better and you talk about how they're doing better, they shit the bed. I'm so done wasting any amount of energy on them.
If something was previously showing up on the site and it isn't now, if anyone knows exactly what it was, let me know and I can dig into it. All our Mercenaries stuff uses a different importer and its possible that something broke and unflagged some stuff, though it shouldn't be possible I wouldn't rule it out. (Sending me a private message is probably your best bet since I'll 100% see the notification for it)
As someone mentioned in another reply, I had a memory of your database including all the 22 leaked mercenaries but that must just be my mistake.
Appreciate you, thanks for all that you do.
Not asking for names, but if it's the person I think it might be, then i am not surprised.
I do not hold this person in high regard, and would further suggest they are not well suited for such a role. (i.e. dealing with people).
Like you say lots of great people in other areas though.
An instagram account called campfirestone released pictures of 22 datamined unreleased mercenaries. I saw that post shared on Facebook and Reddit too. Campfirestone said to check outof.cards for the complete datamine. Right now, I'm only seeing Valeera, Medivh, Kazakus and Trigore in outof.cards mercenaries database. Are those the only ones datamined or are the other ones not showing up?

My guess is that these Mercs were maybe in the internal beta testing but ultimately cut. Many or all of them could be introduced at a later time, but would likely be altered from what they were whenever they were data mined. So for now they are just some cool art and possibly things to look forward to in the future
This is showing all mercenaries we have in db, certainly more than 4. Where do you see only 4?
No. I see more than 4. Thats the list Im looking at. But from the 22 leaked on the link I provided, I can only see 4. 4/22.
There's no Black Knight, Mankrik, Draka, Nemsy, Cho, Maiev, Neeru, Chogall ,Eudora, Garona, etc.
Ah, they appear in the card database but not the Mercenary one.

Mercenaries are also just regular cards as far as Hearthstone is concerned. When a new patch drops, we check for all the new cards (and changes cards) and then kick off a render with all those card ids together without needing to know anything about them. Due to the thousands of cards that were in the Mercenaries patch, I definitely never saw them during the initial datamining - I was actually a little confused initially when I saw CampfireStone's images since they looked like our card images, until I went into the database and saw them.
There's no Mercenaries pages for them because although they exist as cards in the client, they have no proper mercenaries data associated with them so we don't have their level stats. I took a quick look at client data and it looks like The Black Knight and Nemsy don't have any abilities or equipment either. So it does seem like their inclusion in data was a mistake and one that Blizzard probably regrets lol.
Fun fact, and I might regret saying this more publicly. We actually have filters in our database that categorize all the cards by the patch they were added in. Now, we don't have this data going back too far, though I'd love to get that working one day it just takes a long time to fetch all my old data and write scripts against it, but from the time Out of Cards came online, all cards are categorized by the patch they were added to the game. So, whenever we do a data import, you can easily see any new cards that get added.
So, its really easy to see the new stuff coming for modes like Tavern Brawl (since they flag those under a specific expansion, though the brawl set isn't exclusively brawl anymore so that's fun) or Mercenaries.
The "first public build" of Mercenaries was added to the site and that's where all the Mercs data is that folks are calling "leaked".

And, it is leaked, though only having the hero names isn't as interesting as having abilities and stats. Maybe Blizzard will slip up again in the future!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Oh, I see. Flux will have to answer that one, maybe we didn't datamine them all. Either way, even the 4 in our db, that isn't a very good representation of how would they look now, if added to game, bunch of their abilities are in the game on different mercs already with slight variations. And for example Kazakus and Valeera are showing the same set of abilities and items, so it was definitely some early build which did not make the final cut.
Probably because of the masters tour and the fact that the midset is likely out within 2 weeks. Wouldn't make much sense to make balance changes in between the two, though I wouldn't put it past them to nerf something slightly before or on the release of the midset itself.
This is irrelevant to the topic but visiting other player's pages to trick-or-treat is a very cool idea
tomorrows patch is only to fix some of the bugs in Mercs
"some" is probably an understatement.
I really hope they fix the task related ones, I need to grind my monkey (this is not a euphemism)
I couldn't relate more, I've been stuck on that banana task forever
indeed muklas task 5 is bugged right? yeah some are bugs others are quality control that just went over their head. I mean "fom" in Diablos skill text? really Blizzard?
anyways im liking the mode and the thing that im liking is that the mode is so riddles with these little annoyances and the fact that its clearly in beta, that the room for improvement is so much that the potential is huge into making this a legitimate game and a flagship one in the gacha genre just like they pulled with BGs in the autobattler field
Mukla's 9 is bugged from what I've heard.
The other ones I know about are from Grom, Sylvanas, Antonidas and Geddon (and probably other ones I forgot).
THe Mukla one is particularly irritating because it'S so early and I'm really trying hard to get my Beast comp maxed out.
BUt yeah, it'S clear that they didn't have enough time to completely iron out all the bugs, but as long as they'll keep fixing all the little things still missing this mode has some promise for the future (although they really need to smooth out coin grinding. If I grind the same bounty for the promised coins I want those coins and not some random ones I didn't ask for)
Think a lot of ppl were making assumptions based on a previous hotfix mentioning a patch this week along with the Wailing Caverns mini-set expiration on the 19th.
I'm not really concerned about balance changes, more interested when the Hallow's end event begins
