Tickatus question

Hi,
I am about to craft a legendary demon, and was thinking of Tickatus. That got me thinking:
1) Usually I am crafting the wrong card, so wanted to know if anybody is playing the dude?
2) On HSreplay he is performing lower than I expected, why?
3) With this big boy on the list, why distruptlock doesn't see a comeback?
Any thoughts?
Thanks for sharing :)

“Legends never die,
They become a part of you.”
My understanding is, Tick isn’t that great a card. He’s widely hated because people really don’t like it when their decks get messed with, but he isn’t part of a winning deck. (Think about how many games you play where you don’t get to your last five cards—though it feels bad to see the cards burn, it doesn’t actually affect you if you don’t draw to the end of the deck.)
On the other hand, lots of players like messing with their opponent’s deck, so Tick does see play even if his decks aren’t great. If you like watching the other guy’s cards burn, go ahead and craft it!
Its probably not good, and probably never will be good in standard. The premise of Tickatus as a good card is completely in either controlock, or in some kind of discardlock, and both aren't always consistent in standard. Especially in this meta, tickatus might well just not exist, given that so many decks just counter controlock so well.
I wouldn't craft it if I were you. But if you have spare dust, and feeling like you'd rather be happy meming than winning, then why not? Just be aware that the next expansion is in a month's time, so dust spent now feels kinda moot.
Too slow. They kill you too quick for it's affect to matter.

Anathemos is correct. Games simply do not reach fatigue anymore. Another reason why he does not see play is because there are not really a lot of good cards to corrupt it with that also make up for the fact you are only playing about one or two cards a turn. Tickatus also does not impact the board, which is important because the current standard meta is very board centric.
Your face is already dead
As stated before, the quests warped the meta, now Quest Mage, Shaman and Hunter and Garotte Rogue can kill you from hand from full life, Quest Warrior can easily outvalue you and the rest is mostly aggro which will tear the control-Warlock down.

That was kind a helpful, thanks. I usually play wild, but didn't know that the next expansion is that close.

In wild people don't play him because slow mirrors don't happen all that often.
And against aggressive decks you want to cheat your defensive cards with taunt, not an 8/8 they can ignore.
Wait, you guys are watching me sleep AND my face is already dead????
wtf......

When Tickatus was first released I had a Control Lock in Wild that included him to finish out games and burn away combo pieces. It was really good as there was a lot more Shadowreaper Anduin decks at the time. Got me to Legend that month in Wild actually.
But as mentioned, right now he's too slow for the meta in both formats.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
