I'll give it points for being a cheap DH weapon with a decent upside but it's questionable how often you'lll get to proc the effect. Aggressive Demon Hunters aren't really a thing right now (Deathrattle doesn't really thrive on weapon buffs) so I don't see how this would help out.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Limited by the keyword, making this less useful than I had first thought. It's cheap, so it has that going for it, but it doesn't make the cut for a 30 card deck.
might be played next standard rotation but right now there's not many weapon buff effects that are used in DH right now. It would be good to combo with Chaos Strike to kill a 3 health minion but other than that it won't make the cut
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Demon Hunter has a variety of cheap ways to increase its Attack, so it shouldn't be too difficult to trigger the Honor Kill. This would likely only see play in aggro DH lists since it rewards you for controlling the board by dealing damage to your opponent. A little bit clunky to make work, but I think it's worth a try because a 1/3 weapon for 1 is a good worst-case scenario (and you can always just ignore the effect and punch your opponent directly in the face).
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
I think I like this. The caveat is that you're also going to be getting punched in the face, which DH is fine with for the most part. With a number of ways to buff your attack with odd and even levels, taking out a pesky taunter AND punching the face is not a bad gig. It will most likely need to fill a niche deck though
The point of the weapon is presumably to both keep up with tempo and not lose face damage. But not only does this require the use of attack buffs, its also dependent on your opponent - which means it can be played around.
There's also the problem that its kinda a middling weapon. Its not as reliable as Trueaim Crescent, or as powerful as something like Felsteel Executioner. Hell, its even competing with Dreadlord's Bite in aggro decks.
I wouldn't write it out completely, but it has a huge mountain to climb past its competitors.
On Deathrattle builds, it has competition from Tuskpiercer and on Aggro builds Trueaim Crescent looks better. I guess the only deck remotely interested on Dreadprison Glaive is good ol' Soul Fragment DH as it is the one deck that uses attack buffs the best. And even then, it faces competition from the likes of Aldrachi Warblades as the latter is more reliant for trading.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
VERY good aggro DH card. Dreadprison Glaive lets you trade AND go face, and if you hero power it alreay reaches 2 health which is a good attack value for proccing the honorable kill. Not only that but if something has 1 health, you just dont hero power. Worst case scenario it has 1 more durability than Trueaim Crescent, which might make Dreadprison Glaive even better in aggro DH. That one extra swing can go a long way.
However i feel like WILD is where it will shine most. After all Dreadprison Glaive will surely fit into ODD DH, making it a 3 attack weapon allowing it to trade into 3 health minions and proc the honorable kill as early as on turn 2, or turn 1 with coin.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Feels a bit too clunky, of course the obvious application is to clear a minion and smack face at the same time, but the fact that it has to be exact damage makes it seem very awkward to me. I might be proven wrong, but the clunkiness does not make me want to play this over other DH weapons.
Even with all their various ways to gain attack, I doubt Demon Hunter can line up Honorable Kills easily enough with this weapon to make this good. That said, I think this is a hugely valuable turn 1 weapon, as you'll have a lot of chances to get perfect kills on minions with 1 or 2 (and sometimes maybe 3) health. Getting a functional six attacks out of a 3-Durability weapon is pretty great. Of course, you won't always have this in your hand on turn 1, and that makes it a lot less exciting.
Ok card with potential to be pretty good!

I guess this could be alright. It depends on the health of the targets, and how hard it will be to buff your attack to match that health. Not going to be that great if you just kill a 3 health minion.
Seems like it could push a little extra damage to the face, given that you prioritizes trading and controlling the board, which ain't typical for your average aggro DH list
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Arena: Face damage is not as important as controlling the board, meaning that even Light's Justice without any text is stronger most of the time.
Constructed: This would probably fit best in Token DH as all the tokens can help trigger this honourable kill. At the same time you want to buff the attack as much as possible such that the damage that goes face is substantial, but that would result in less tokens dying which means Ur'zul Giant comes out later. Definitely some negative synergy there and we have to wait and see if that deck is going to be any good at all.
Arena > Wild > Standard
It is ok but honorable kill will be hard to activate.
I mean, it curves well into Battleworn Vanguard. Also can get some fact chip damage, but usually DH wants to attack face, not minions. This does allow you to do fact at the same time.

Bad weapon card considering alternates that DH has available. May see next rotation.

HK being adjustable on it kind of gives this weapon hope to be played.
This is a fascinating DH weapon. On the one side its a one mana 1/3 for DH that just lets you go a little more aggro. One the other hand, it sort of discourages the outrageous weapon attack buffs to let you control the board and still damage face. I think it will take a little bit of thinking to play this one properly.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
I don't know if you cant get the 3 procs in an optimal way.
Only time will tell
With how many attack buffs Demon Hunter has, getting an Honor Kill with this is actually pretty easy. Would DH rather run more specialized weapons, absolutely, but it's still a solid alternative for aggressive decks to run.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
I think you prefer weapons that work with a specific strategy, as opposed to one that occasionally has an upside of dealing a bit of damage to it. Like, why not just swing face with that damage?
Welcome to the site!
Decent weapon for Wild Odd Demon Hunter who wants to keep dealing face damage whilst controlling the board. Good card IMO.
Quite a solid weapon, and the Demon Hunter hero card makes it all the more insane. Sure to see play.
