Not terrible. It's spell tutor in Warlock that also AoE's the enemy board. I think if you run this, you don't worry about whether or not you have Fel spells in the deck, and just run it for draw and small AoE.
Consecration with card draw tacked on for one mana and a potential damage boost. Seems like a solid card, but what are you hoping to draw with this? The best Warlock spells are typically Shadow, and they still have access to Hellfire if they want a 3 damage board clear (and slightly faster, at that). The card draw is nice, but Warlock doesn't need more draw. It just doesn't seem like a card with a home.
Not a bad card but doesn't seem to fit in existing lists.
I think the value of this card is the spell tutor effect, once they print one that is a build around, we will see more of this card.
In the current pool, most of the fel spells are minion based. In the current standard, maybe it can fit in a slower zoo deck (its a stretch though).
yup, at least it helps you cycling through.
I was tempted to think it wasn't that good until I made the comparison with Consecration ; +1 mana for a card draw, and a possibility of upgrading your dmg by 1, it isn't too shabby
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Its just bad in a class that already has plenty of board clears. Even in zoo, if you really need a board clear very badly, just play Grimoire of Sacrifice, which though needs a sacrificial target, is at very least a mere 1 mana, which will allow you to regain tempo.
As far as the draw is concern, this is also an area of which warlock is not lacking in. Hullbreaker, for example, tutors two spells, cost 1 less and comes with a stick.
Also, there's not many fel spells available to take advantage of the additional effect. Dark Portal is as good as it gets, and even that's not really good.
Its so baffling in design that I feel that team5 is withholding something somewhere. Or maybe initial impressions is just that; this card is shit.
So I don't think you'd ever remove shadow or fire spells from your deck, just to make Felfire in the Hole! consistent. I'd think the spell tutor would be the most valuable aspect from this card. The +1 extra damage is just a cherry on top
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
I'm assuming there'S some Fel spell damage synergy yet to be revealed but without Legendary support I don't see this working out. Probably a set up for future expansions or the miniset.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
I feel like Warlock has better AoE options, this might be good if it was Shadow instead but Warlock just doesn't play enough Fel spells.
Tutor a specific card: 2+ mana
AoE damage: 2 mana
And 1 mana more if gets a fel spell, balanced it seems, but it depends on the other fel spells
Interesting card that might see play. But i'm not certain that it will. Why? It's a really expensive card draw option for a class that's known for drawing a TON of cards. So i'm not sure if it will actually see play.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
While it will be nicer if it draws a fell spell, you won't have to put exclusively fel spells in your deck for this to be pretty good.
This is bad until better fel spells get released. Overall it seems they are pushing locks into fel territory at some point in the future but it's not quite there yet.

It seems that this goblin is being eaten by the portal, so he is there sacrifice. He doesn't have a right arm
I am not as psyched about this one. Fel spells are nice, but needing to stack your deck to get a one sided hellfire is meh
Seems to fair to be good. Will get better though, they will be printing more Fel spells. Warlock wokred with Shadow and Fire mostly, so more Fel needs to come.
Spell tutor and minor board clear in one. Not a bad card. Also, it targets a specific spell school, so you can more reliably get that spell you need. I think this will see some play.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
I don't think the Fel spells Warlock has right now are good enough to deliberately tune your deck such that this always activates; because of that I don't expect this to do that well. Just a bit too much mana for not quite enough effect.
Welcome to the site!
So it's one-sided Hellfire that costs 1 more, but only if you hit a Fel spell. I guess I could see it. It feels like Warlock has a few too many good Shadow spells to contort their decks in order to meet a pretty mediocre ceiling, but maybe Fel Warlock is just what the meta needs.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
Maybe we also run Spell Damage in Fel Warlock, but otherwise feels too fair to be good.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Seems like a terrible card. Warlock has better options to deal 3 damage. They do not mind damaging their own face anyways.
It's' nothing crazy, but seems decent enough. Although it seems a little expensive, it does draw a card and potentially deals 1 extra damage.
