A new string datamined in Hearthstone patch 22.2.0 indicates that a big change may be coming to cosmetics in Hearthstone - multiple favourites!

Toggled Favourites
Inside of the Collection Manager, we've been able to select a favourite card back, hero skins, and a coin, which would determine the defaults for your newly created decks for each class. This appears to be getting a buff though by allowing you to select multiple favourite cosmetics, which in turn will let the game randomly choose from your favourites in a match.
This is an excellent addition to the game as Hearthstone's number of cosmetic items has skyrocketed over the past couple of years, and sometimes it is just too hard to choose which cosmetics to play with.
As always, datamined information is subject to change and it may not be ready to go live when 22.2.0 launches on January 25.

aw man, we did not get this feature, did we?
This sounded really good, how unfortunate
I would have rather liked a "random portrait" and "random coin" - similar to "random card back".
That's pretty much what this feature sounds like. You select some or all of your portraits and will be assigned a random one of them whenever you start a match.
I usually like having a consistent portrait and card back for a deck, but randomized coins based on my favorite cosmetic coins is more than fine! Even if I would only see it half the time.
Yes, this is great news!
I have said it before, but this patch is building up to be the biggest non-expansion patch do this date. Especially with multiple new features on top of the huge ammount of content BGs, Mercs and Duels will receive.
This would be awesome!
Hooray! I never have to use that awful Christmas card back again! *dances in street*
I hope they do something similar for portraits when a portrait randomizer comes along.
... or maybe this is part of that feature, being added sooner than we expected?
